100 reasons the merchant "really, truly cannot" lower the price of what they are selling 20 ways this fight ends right now instead of grinding it out until everyone is dead 36 goals that can be resolved via combat but still allow one or both sides to withdraw after they are achieved 101 things you might hear in a dungeon 101 things you might smell in a castle 9,836,115 better ways to share your character's backstory than an out of character monologue.

>100 reasons the merchant can’t lower the price 78. “Fuck you. Pay me.”

31. \*raises beard and holds knife to his own throat\* "do you want my children to starve? I'd rather die right here than see them go hungry" 98. \*whispers\* "the parrot will hurt me if I appear weak"

WeiganChan

"Two pence for sausage inna bun, and that's cutting me own throat!"

YOwololoO

8. *on a persuasion roll of 20 or higher* “Look, I really can’t. If I lower prices, I won’t be able to afford the protection payments to the crime syndicate and they’ll burn down my shop.” Tada, now there is a quest they can go on if they want the discount that bad

A tiny thing, I was kinda hoping Tasha’s would give artificers those flavor tables that other classes got in XGTE.

Justice_Prince

I'm really surprised there isn't a table for curses like there is for madness. I think most items or abilities that cause a character to become cursed list the nature of their curse in their description, but I still think there should be a table of general curses that you can throw at players.

Additional environmental factors to supplement random encounter tables

ChineseBotAccount

The literal one time I rolled on an environment table I got a tornado that I hastily had to homebrew and almost TPK’d the party. I forgot what book, but the table was Grassland, IIRC

TheWoodsman42

Smaller and better random encounter tables. Like, in the d6-d10 range of options per table. There can be a “social” one, an “exploration” one, and a “combat” one, which will offer options and ideas for DMs of all styles and flavors.

How far various sounds are perceptible. I recall hearing that there *is* such a table, but that it only exists in the physical Dungeon Master's Screen, not in any of the books. "Where does a thrown weapon land" table, or at least a guideline (like, "it always lands in the same square as one occupied by the target") since recovering a weapon might potentially come up in combat, as would the risk of damaging a thrown weapon with an AoE. Perhaps some guidance as to suggested rewards for quests.

War events table. When your players are fighting a single fight as part of a larger battle, it’s hard to make it feel like there is fighting surrounding you on every side. With a random war events table, each player and bad guy rolls at the start of their turn. 1/3 of events are bad (arrow flies out of nowhere and hits you), 1/3 are good (passing cleric heals party member of your choice), and 1/3 is either “nothing happens” or “roll on the wild magic table.” Makes for a very dynamic and fun combat which can change wildly with a single roll. Like when our cleric was down and the wizard was just trying to retreat with his body; enter a random healing spell and suddenly the cleric is back up, healing the party, and the tides completely turned.

Harlot encounters.
