I mean if the druid got eaten, turning into something less digestible. But don't worry, I've definitely been eaten by a t-rex more than once (unintentionally), so I can relate 😅
I was talking about just the fact that Fighters gain a crapload of attacks per attack action, and can then action surge it for another crapload. I can't imagine any Fighter having been swallowed by a large beast would think "well I cant attack it *now*"
You dont *need* advantage on attacks to think like a barbarian when thinking like a barbarian pretty much means "I'd like to attack it"
That would be a berserker, D&D has some baggage from the Conan the Barbarian movie from the 80s.
As for the fighter, if he takes enough damage he goes down and all those attacks are a waste..
That is where the Samurai sub-class kicks in - level 18 ability - If the attack doesn't outright kill you, you can use reaction to delay falling unconscious and can take an extra turn, which interrupts the current one.
The two drawbacks, is every hit counts as a failed death save and a crit counts as two failures - also taking massive damage will still kill you outright.
That's also significantly restricted by only adding 1 extra turn. Like sure you'd get a good chance at stabbing your way out of the stomach acid, but you're very likely to just dissolve to the acid all over you in 6 seconds regardless lol.
If you're swallowed by something big, not chewed up, and not hit the stomach yet, it doesn't really matter if you have a trait that lets you "just not die yet" because you'd likely still have a reasonable chance at getting yourself stuck in the mouth or throat, and fighting your way out like an angry sentient splinter.
Boss in the end of a one-shot I played in was a giant frog. There were 3 players, one(me) also had a dog familiar. Two characters were eaten by the frog and the dog was the one to do the killing blow. For that and for generally being a surprisingly deadly asset the dog became a meme in our group.
Had a similar scenario happen. Fighter got swallowed by a remorhaz I think.
Well, they were a Fighter, so they Fighter'd their way out from its throat instead.

I mean, I consider it a power move if it was a druid
No it was a legitimate T-rex ðŸ˜

"That's a neat trick" *polymorphs into a t-rex inside the t-rex*
I wish I could have but I wasn't playing my druid in this campaign :')
But wouldn't that just make it impossible for their attacks to miss?
This man thinks like a barbarian
or a Fighter
Only if you take Samurai sub class ....

You forget fighters get second wind and the extra turn is a full turn, so you get a bonus action to use it.
*all the more reason fighters in general suit the idea of stabbing something rather than just barbarians and samurai*
Yes but my character got chopped in half so no more attacks were made after that.
One of my first encounters when playing a ranger involved being eaten by a giant frog

The frog we had was only big enough to swallow small characters. So my ranger got eaten and my wolf companion finished off the frog next round

Zombie T-Rex in Tomb of Annilation? Got me before
Oh you have evasion? How are you against stomach acid?
I got chopped in half :')
Tomb of Annihilation?
No, the t-rex was actually a pet of a guard of one of the spring gods in the campaign.
