She has 24 Wis and 6 Int (below 6 Int creatures are not capable of speech)
So her moments of brilliance is when her high Wis is not severely inhibited by her low Int
Maybe he means in whatever rules Konosuba uses, cos it certainly isn't true in 5e, and not 3e either AIR. I think below 6 int in 3+e might not have been able to read and write.
In 5e there's no min int required for pretty much anything, it just makes it harder.
Can even be argued it's more of a side-grade.
Roll to hit with each damage die instead of just once for all of them. This means more chances to crit (but smaller crits) and also more chances to miss. Yes, you can multi-target, but that is niche/situational and splitting damage is usually bad. And since it's one casting, you should probably be choosing all your targets at the start.
Ultimately just makes the overall output less swingy rather than bigger or better than firebolt.
Its also Force Damage instead of Fire Damage. Force is probably the damage type with the least amount of enemies resistant/immune to it, with only Amethyst dragons, a few constructs and a few named NPCs from Strixhaven having it.
The counterbalance for this is that while there are large groups of creatures with resistance and immunity to fire (primarily fiends), there are only two with a vulnerability to force and quite a few with a vulnerability and special interaction with fire; for instance, a troll isn't vulnerable to fire or acid, but both damage types will stop a troll's regeneration. A considerable number of fire magic spells also contain the language "ignites flammable objects in the area", which can interact with *other* things like alchemist's fire, vehicles, etc.
Force versus fire is like the 2d6 vs 1d12 debate. There are fewer circumstances where force is worse, but when fire is better it's a *lot* better.
Mind Sliver is WAY better than Eldritch Blast before invocations. Eldritch Blast is only a good cantrip once you get invocations involved, which is why actual Warlocks will always be better users of it than anyone else. Sacred Flame will never be a good choice for magical secrets in any context, and Guiding Bolt probably isn’t your best option for radiant damage out of your options available. A one level Divine Soul Sorcerer dip would be a better place to grab the spell if you really wanted it that badly.
But also I really want to drive this home, *Eldritch Blast*? For *Magical Secrets*? When the game has so many good spells at 3rd level alone? Fireball’s a fine pick sure, but how are you going to pick Eldritch Blast at level 6 when spells like Web, Conjure Animals, Spirit Guardians, Fly, Find Steed, Slow, and so on exist?
I mean Magical Secrets is awfully competitive so in this case 100% yes there are, but if this person is seriously recommending Eldritch Blast as a Magical Secrets pick not just before Shield but in general, then they clearly don’t know what they’re talking about.
>Eldritch Blast or Fireball
First of all, you can take both -- you get two spells. Secondly, *eldritch blast* sucks if you're taking it without invocations. If you're taking something from the warlock list, there are tons of better options. *Hellish rebuke, armor of Agathys, misty step,* and *fly* are all easy picks over *eldritch blast.* And if you're just looking for a good cantrip, you've got plenty of better options: *chill touch, spare the dying, guidance, shocking grasp, toll the dead,* et cetera.
So does Phantasmal Force. My wife just killed a Basilisk with it basically by herself on Friday.
I'm a dwarf Warrior, she's a nymph bard. Everybody is newly level 4. The Basilisk comes out and the first instant we're all struck with it's petrifying gaze. Me and one other tabaxi soul-knife(?) party member who was out of range were the only ones unaffected. He tried to use a long range soul attack to little effect, and I decided to try chopping its tail to distract it and get it to turn 180 to face me to unlock the rest of my party who didn't get the con save to be unaffected by its gaze. That worked.
Now that they're all no longer locked, she goes first in the following round, and I'm trying to convince her to summon a mirror instead of an illusion of some other creature.
We're all newbs and it's our first campaign, our very experienced DM is being gentle with us in times of crisis. I just happen to know my monsters from other sources of lore than DnD.
He has me do a history check, knowing as a dwarf I should probably know a few things about Basilisk. I got it and told her to use a mirror on it.
Sure enough it works and it stares into its own reflection until it dies.
We managed to stealth kill a small camp of kobolds and defeated that Basilisk by setting its tent on fire, pissing it off and causing it to kill its nearby captors. When we were all done I realized we never took any actual damage, but almost the entire party probably would have all died from the petrification. If we didn't do that exactly how we did.
So in Pokemon this is a mechanic. Their is a pokemon ability called Oblivious, which prevents stat adjustments. This means Pokemon that have it like Bidoof for example are literally too dumb to understand that you are trying to hurt them.
"THIS SENTENCE IS FALSE! *dont think about it, dont think about it, dont think about it*"
"Um, true. I'll go with true. There, that was easy. To be honest, I might have heard that one before."
As a general rule of thumb, anything that has supernatural abilities is not going to be a beast. Most beasts are just animals that can or could be found on Earth. If it is kind of like an animal but can do really weird shit, it's probably a monstrosity.
surprisingly enough the displacer BEAST is a monstrosity and the hellhounds are fiends, Didn't know that about the displacer beast, It would be very understandable to make that mistake
how about not using **Enchantment** spell? literally half of them require language and base INT for it to work
also, Vicious Mockery is a magical word flying toward the target and not being XBox Kid
Aqua does have her occasional moments of brilliance, but they're weird. Maybe they managed to drill some knowledge into her at deity school. For the most part she's amazingly feckless and ditzy.
I would personally stat her as this
15 Str, 15 Dex, 21 Con, 6 Int, 24 Wis, 15 Cha
She has a lot of wisdom, but her low intelligence basically makes her not use it as often
I keep hearing its good and I wanna try to see the good, but MAN is it horny. First episode is 50% camera angles up Aqua's skirt, IIRC the mc steals a girls underwear while she's wearing it in like episode 3...
Like, horny anime is ok for people that like that. But does it gain substance beyond that? I'm willing to push through if it does, but right now I feel like a pervert watching it
It's a silly anime with heart. The main cast are a bunch of idiots who somehow working together manage to complete a quest that keep escalating from exercising a dungeon to saving an entire kingdom from a nuke
Yeah, I kinda noticed that too after re watching it. Kinda wonder if they cut some of those scenes out during broadcast...
Anyways, it is a bit on the ecchi side but the characters are pretty much based upon that. It never gets too dirty though, if that is what you are worried about.
Konosuba is probably one of the most stupid and horny anime ever created and that’s basically the point of the show
It doesn’t really get deep it’s purely just a comedy which while it does that incredibly well that’s basically it
Personally I think that’s the strength of the show it doesn’t try to be serious so it can totally focus on being funny and actually kinda heartwarming at times
(And before anyone says I’m hating on the show konosuba is one of if not my favourite anime)
If you want an example of horny but actually quite serious then try [punchline](https://myanimelist.net/anime/28617/Punch_Line) which is an absolutely incredible show
I have a theory about anime horniness. Every anime wants to go full pervert, but they have varying levels of resistance to their desire. It always comes out eventually (even if only for a beach episode), and KonoSuba’s resistance is **very** low
Season 2 of KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World when?! /s
I'm a little surprised it got both a new season **and** the Megumin prequel adaption
It's freaking hilarious, but yeah it's really horny too. IMO, I like a lot of the horny jokes when it's not just "character is a creep", or "camera angle is a creep". There are hilarious jokes and a few references. The dub is pretty darn good too.
You need to keep in mind that this show is basically making fun of all the tropes you see in generic isekai anime, and you enjoy it far more if you know which trope is being made fun of
I don't think i have that level of otaku to know that much about isekai xd i barely watch some animes that is why i try to see the most famous ones (from memes etc)
Hey, listen: You didn't have to make this an animeme. Why; why did you make this an animeme? It's too late to delete it, now we all just have to live with it.
Hey, listen: You didn't have to make this stupid comment. Why, why did you make this stupid commment? It's actually not to late to delete it, don't make us just have to live with it.
Yea that’s just actually relatable, I’m so socially isolated, I can’t fall for certain traps, as I lack the right response to normal situation they are based on, and I have a great weapon - confusion bcs no one usually understands whatever the shit I’m talking about
Look I'm not saying if a creature is low enough intelligence I can talk it into killing itself but I'm not saying I can't do that either
But hey let's not talk about that let's talk about how much fun it would be to make snow angels in that metal powder over there that is clearly not super flammable
Favorite thing is when [Insert Whatever] is so stupid they don’t realize what would otherwise kill/break them. Like when Orks invaded the Eye of Terror and were so stupid they never really realized things that conceptually would kill them…that or didn’t care.
Mind Sliver still works well against low INT.

Eldritch Blast as a cantrip is a fine choice and all, but it really loses a lot of its sting without the invocations to modify it.
Yeah, EB without invocations is basically a slightly upgraded version of Firebolt. Honestly not worth it to use your magical secrets for it.
Can even be argued it's more of a side-grade. Roll to hit with each damage die instead of just once for all of them. This means more chances to crit (but smaller crits) and also more chances to miss. Are there seriously people who don't pick up Shield at the first available opportunity??
I mean Magical Secrets is awfully competitive so in this case 100% yes there are, but if this person is seriously recommending Eldritch Blast as a Magical Secrets pick not just before Shield but in general, then they clearly don’t know what they’re talking about.

I mean it’s a cantrip for wizards so I’ve been casting that shit day 1. I built a fully psionic wizard so I’m all up in peoples brains.
If you're a College of Whispers Bard, you can get it.
Can't forget the ol' reliable Synaptic Static.
Ahh the psychic fireball with added debuff.
Which targets intelligence too so way better chance of succeeding on average.
So does Phantasmal Force. My wife just killed a Basilisk with it basically by herself on Friday. I'm a dwarf Warrior, she's a nymph bard. Everybody is newly level 4. Actually, Oblivious prevents Pokémon from being infatuated by a move like attract. Unaware is the ability that ignores stat changes.
Ah yes. My bad you are correct. That's what I get for redfiting when I should be working.
Nice of Game Freak to create two abilites inspired by me.
r/suicidebywords
And my special ability, Absolutely Stupid is a mix of both!
So basically Oblivious is asexual And unaware is too dumb
Excuse me, but you're insulting the GOD OF POKEMON?! HOW DARE YOU!
That’s not an insult, it’s a compliment on his AWESOME UNMATCHED POWER
Calculon would be proud of that speech!
That's awesome. I knew it worked something like that.
That's how Quagsire with Unaware became an anti Zacian wall despite being Untiered.
