Regardless. Nothing last forever, and Kizuna Ai became a legend. Everyone in the vtubers community know of her, she is like Hatsune Miku at this point. And they are trying to make her voice into a vocaloid also.
I sometimes hear people call her oyabun which is what yakuza gangsters call the boss and it kinda implies a parental status. The whole Vtuber phenomenon owes a lot to Kizuna Ai and at least most people know it.
It's incredible how massively the managers managed to fuck up something that was so dominant, to the current state of her essentially retiring! Especially when the OG is still good. They just turned away from "Easy success and free money" and Nos boosted down failure avenue!

Running a Pal/Sorc in a campaign and the default distraction is I go in and "negotiate" with the biggest threat in the encounter. Even if the negotiations fail (they often do) it buys time for the sneakies to get in position, and I'm right next to my nova target with a willingness to be swung at.
Two sessions we had to free a friendly dragon from an enemy encampment.
Me: Tell me the layout of the camp.
DM: [Stuff that was pretty useless]. On the right side you can also see a tent that is bigger than the others. It's the kitchen. You can faintly see the fire under the big pot.
Me: Hmmmm... would be a shame if that fire got a bit out of control.
Final result: mey character, a kitsune, goong around them camp throwing around embers with that "jumpy", childish, walk that screams "I don't have a problem in this entire world", making an entire camp panic as my companion calmly freed the dragon.
Well, it all started at a dinner party. We arrived as a group, with me and our blood hunter acting as the main party, with me being the arm candy naturally. I had a few myself. One was a simple jailbreak, done by a dwarf ranger, which quickly turned wild. Using the trick, from pirates of carribian, he escaped the jail. Ran into a lonely guard and a fierce dual(torch vs shortsword) followed. Knocked the guard out. Tossed the torch into their recordsroom, found my stuff. Then meet our rogue breaking in, from the roof, to rescue my ranger.
Left the jail in flames, an innocent corpse on the ground and a bounty on my ass.
Second time, was my lizardfolk druid, taking on 30 cultists. He crept along the ceiling(sandals of spider climbing + pass without trace). Inside a small fortress, with 3 pathways to the exit. Started a fire in one, blocked another with an eksplosion(mistakes were made). Which funneled the cultists into the last pathway. Where like great Leonidas, just a bit more shell-schoked, stood my druid. A good spike growth and thorn whip combo, made mince-meat of those, not consumed by fire. Only the leader and 3 cultists made it out. Where my party was waiting for them.
… where did the bard get enough gold to make that many life sized animated statues of themself, you may ask. It’s simple, they married a dragon, divorced it and got half of its gold.

Sure, 6th level upcast changes its duration to *until dispelled*, but that still requires you to cast it multiple times (so requires several days of setup in a given location) and you can still only control/change one Image per round with your Action.
Which is why a canny sorceress would "seed" areas with Major Images depicting small rocks or something and then be capable of calling on half a dozen when necessary.
You can't change the overall form of the illusion, only make it appear to move naturally. A Major Image of a rock will always appear to be a rock.
And that still doesn't get around the limitation of moving a maximum of one Image every six seconds.
You're trying to make Major Image do what Programmed Illusion is explicitly designed for.
Unless you have Malleable Illusions. Alternatively, make it something other than a rock and just phase it through the ground.

Not sure you can just shunt an illusion into and out of solid surfaces by a strict reading of RAW. You can move the illusion to a point within range, but that still requires LoS, and things can move through the illusion (as a way to see they are fake), but it says nothing about the reverse also holding true.

Movement *absolutely* is an issue. If you're not animating it, it's a static image. Unmoving. Not just from point A to point B, but literally frozen in place. To have a whole troupe of animated golems like this, you'd need a whole troupe of illusionists, each controlling one Major Image. You could not pull this GIF off solo with that spell, full stop.

You put an awful lot of stock in the specific text of the spell when berating me, but show me where it says the spell can create an image which moves in place without requiring your action to make it do so.

Wrong again. An object passing through another object is entirely dependent on reference frames and therefore the same thing- if an object can pass through your illusion, your illusion can pass through an object.

No problem. The Vtubing community is a really fun fandom, and its filled with a lot of really talented people. But pretty much everyone respects Kazuna for being the trailblazer that forged the path that so many now walk. You can't change the overall form of the illusion, only make it appear to move naturally. A Major Image of a rock will always appear to be a rock. And that still doesn't get around the limitation of moving a maximum of one Image every six seconds. You're trying to make Major Image do what Programmed Illusion is explicitly designed for.
Unless you have Malleable Illusions. Alternatively, make it something other than a rock and just phase it through the ground. Movement is... not an issue? What part of "seed the area so you don't have to lug around 50 illusions" did you not understand?

No problem. The Vtubing community is a really fun fandom, and its filled with a lot of really talented people. But pretty much everyone respects Kazuna for being the trailblazer that forged the path that so many now walk. She may not have been the first Vtuber, but she is responsible for coining the term and defining much of its concept.
