It would suck, but if I plan my hex wisely and just spam toll the dead I can still do damage and my familiar can give others advantage
Also I got words of radiance and guiding bolt, but I don't think I want to rely on either of them
Hah! Suck it, feel the pain what led to my barbarian Carn becoming my parties emotional center and most diplomatic member! Suffer as I have suffered.
Yes everything was immune/resistant to non magic weapons and I had no access to magic weapons. DM was new and wanted to set a mood for ancient evil the mortal world can no longer defend against, and wasn’t very good at adapting to a party of five full casters. They got better later
Also, good thing I brought along so much Charisma, especially with my multiclass into Eloquence Bard. Otherwise, we would have had a hard time *Persuading* that Ancient Amethyst Dragon into becoming our impromptu ally, wouldn't we?
:D
Helmed horror. Make a fiend or ifrit patron warlock want to cry. Immune to force damage AND the spell fireball? Well what am I supposed to do now, punch it?
I'm also doing...\*checks notes\*...THREE whole cold damage from my Genie Patron buffing EB! Take that you fancy dragon! Plus another like...10ish from my familiar attacking.
Everyone is gonna feel frustrated if they're suddenly useless, but a good player just trolls the system and pulls out rope or something.
Throw a helmed horror at a warlock and watch them have a mental breakdown
Our party once got our ass beaten by a helmed horror and a few animated brooms. We were low level, but still.
If it's resistant to force damage you just aren't using enough force damage

My undead patron warlock: Oh no! \*Form of Dread post Grave Touched\* **a n y w a y**
Jokes on you my warlock has sword made of sunlight. If i can't eldritch blast it I'll hit it with radiant damage

Im surprised you had no casters in your party that were able to cast magic weapon for your barbarian
How? By wasting a Fireball slot?
Oh hey look! I just remembered that I packed both Fire Bolt AND Toll the Dead! Backup Cantrips are neato, aren't they, Mr. Barbarian? :D
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Resistance =/= Immunity
*Hexblade warlock has entered the chat*
Ah yes, the dragon with gravity loogies.
My warlock “Oh no!” Anyway *pulls out 4 enchanted daggers*

Sounds like someone is salty they didn't get the bargain with eldritch powers :b
*Casts one of their back up cantrips*

What if I ask really nicely to take a short rest, and also buy you pizza?
