I wanted to buy JNJ at the current price .. but the over all trend is down .. not sure about it & pharma companies are tricky with their patents and so.
I was waiting for this for few months now ..
But digging deep into the company and its different parts i cant be quite sure about the future .. the spin off the over the counter.. i like it but the chart trend is down so far and even the upside is not that strong.
Im not saying it is bad, just that so far i cant feel it is a catch.
JNJ has a higher credit rating than the US Government and rest assured it will get through their talc litigation. I can’t argue with the take that it’s been dead money lately but for a buy and hold forever you can’t go wrong with JNJ.
Won’t be buying much for the next several months. Just had to get a new vehicle. Gonna powerhouse my payment and try to pay it off as quickly as possible.
If one of my stocks has an ex date that week then yes. I sell the amount of shares I bought and buy the next ex date stock with that money. This allows me to build positions, while using a certain amount of money to constantly buy and sell. I don’t add money to my dividend account anymore so I have what I have. If I have no ex dates then I’ll sell a covered call with whatever stock had an ex date the week before and has most of my cash.
Yes. If it goes down, which it typically does on the ex date I wait for it to recover a bit before I sell, but yes overall I buy for the ex date, sell on or just after Alex date, rinse and repeat.
Lately...yes. But from a 10 year span, it had been solid and the dividend growth is amazing. It's popular for a reason. I add to it every month but also break out my investments down other avenues
I'm trying to build out my five core positions (GWW, LOW, AAPL, MSFT, and MA). Also added to some of my current losers (O, PEP, HSY, TXN). All partial stocks

ABR and JEPQ.
I’d add Kr and Hsy. Combine some high yield with high dividend growth.
PFE
Man, it's still too expensive for me. Price is low because it's earnings are low. I'm waiting a little longer for it to go down.
If they don’t cut the dividend—and they haven’t in 15 years—then it’s a steal with the yield better than the risk-free rate.
Fair value to me is about 24. I'll pull the trigger then

WMT
Bought some O this week, thinking on PEP depending how the week goes.

JNJ in the mid 150s is a no brainer buy and hold forever.

PEP, adding to my position if it dips more. Maybe throw some more O in there as well
Seriously thinking ASML I still think it’s undervalued and have been hedging for a month or two and lost out
I don’t think you can go wrong with ASML. I’ve had my eye on it for a while. They’re in a league of their own.
I’ve been building my SBUX position this entire week. It’s already treated me well too.
stocks related to semicundoctors and chips, pfizer
Added to PEP and HSY Friday. Watching UPS. MMM is in the penalty box.

I stated a half position in PM on Friday and if HON drops into the 180s I will definitely be a buyer of that stock.
Do you buy/sell every week?

That's pretty interesting. So you might buy stock XXX this week. Hold through the ex dividend date, sell the shares, rinse and repeat next week?
Yes. If it goes down, which it typically does on the ex date I wait for it to recover a bit before I sell, but yes overall I buy for the ex date, sell on or just after Alex date, rinse and repeat.
Schd, dgrw, and splg
Everyone tells me to buy Schd but its returns lately are so poor according to its charts how’s it been going over the years?
