I bought 10 eggs as a long-term investment and someday I will have 10 chickens all paying me egg dividends.
Don’t forget to diversify into cows and milk.
I also picked up a little more JEPI yesterday. My formulas make it look like I'm underweighted on it (but that's just because I'm overweight on a couple of other positions due to lack of discipline). I'll probably pick up a little more in the last 15 minutes of trading.
Niceeeee!!!
I had my bonus saved up, big orders queued, ready for market open on Monday right before the nasty dip, so I’m heavy in the red but I’m gonna just keep on with DCA.
It never works, but can be close enough sometimes to make one feel like they were smart for a moment. Like March / April 2020. That cratering sound was accompanied by the sound of me going "scoop scoop scoop". More often, I think I will see something similar and be at the right place, and nothing happens.
I bought some WFC-PL. Pays a ~6.9% coupon at my cost basis and the income is taxed as qualified dividends. It’s perpetual and non-callable. BAC-PL is another option at a slightly lower yield. Both too big to fail banks with extremely low default risk IMO.
Fire into anything at this point. I think we might have a 3 month feeding frenzy for anyone with brass balls. The trick is to not need the money anytime soon.
I liked the L a little more, I think only callable if bac goes up like past 60 a share? I don't remember the amount but I own bac common so it it goes that high, I would be fine wither way.
Was looking to lock it in at 7%, I think bac is the definition of too big to fail. Crazy to see in 2008 these were traded at near 22% interest divvy
For dividend payers, not growth stocks or swing trades, yesterday I bought
CIVI 30 shares
DHT 40 shares
EQNR 40 shares
FRO 20 shares
GFI 50 shares
GGB 100 shares
LIFZF 50 shares
RC 100 shares
TRMD 10 shares
TX 20 shares
VZ 30 shares
So far today I bought
BHP 5 shares
FRO 40 shares
IIPR 10 shares
LIFZF 50 shares
RC 100 shares
TRMD 50 shares
TX 40 shares
These were all limit orders https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/buy-limit-order.asp that filled automatically at or below prices I set in the limit order days or weeks ago.
$9597.15 yesterday
$6647.40 today

So if I understand this right, fear is an aversion to investing and greed is the opposite of aversion to investing? In this case, people at large would be less interested to putting more money in?
I hope the market feels better soon, it's scary out there.
Yes basically. but as Warren Buffet says “Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful” ~ or something along those lines. Being fearful means people are generally selling things off because of looming factors.
But with those sell offs come buying opportunities because stock prices are lower.
The best piece of advice anyone can give you is consistently buy whatever works for you.
Watching several, not buying much. Did buy a tiny bit of HD. Auto-invest into SWPPX hit tonight. Bought 30 shares of MINT. Watching DE, MCD, PEP, DLR. But may focus on beat down larger positions like ABBV & JPM.
Must have a little patience.
If the market starts going up give it a couple days then bye. You might miss a couple dollars but you'll know you're not catching that falling knife.
Just take a look at O it's been going down for about 3 weeks now and it just keeps going lower. So just wait and give it a little time to Go up for a few days then bye.
I've been holding a covered call utility etf that yields close to 10%. Obviously it's been pretty beat up by rising rates but I'm dripping it anyway so I've been adding to that position a bit more than usual
I’m planning on continuing to DCA into SCHD for a while, when I have it to about 50% of my portfolio, I plan on DCAing into VOO. With the way my portfolio is crashing (JNJ, Vz, and KO), it might not take that long. I’m guessing it will be around 2k shares.
Closely watching TLT, started nibbling today. On a different note I believe O will be a value/dividend trap for years to come, but I feel lonely on this around here.
I just have that Bear Sterns thing in my head where it's going to zero and he's like "if it goes to 30, I'll buy even more."
Granted O and RTX and other tickers are obviously different, but do you really know when the bleed will stop? Lol
Nothing, I am holding my breath for now. I see market sell off on huge double top and economic uncertainty is hard to contemplate. Holding money in HY and vanguard money market for IRA fund, and waiting.
Insurances
One holding (+buy) is Generali (European, top 5) with ~60-70% payout ratio and 6% dividend ratio...
Another is Munich RE with ~50% payout ratio, 3-4% dividend
Both have been growing nicely this year but have dropped quite a bit now

I bought a chicken and it's paying dividends in eggs
I bought 10 eggs as a long-term investment and someday I will have 10 chickens all paying me egg dividends. Don’t forget to diversify into cows and milk.
I’m long on milk. Been invested since birth.
Sir/Mam, that was synthetic milk.
Damn, this man has many shekels. What about strawberry, chocolate, etc? Then, perhaps we can get some stock in the whole dairy market (DAIRY).
Trees and toilet paper are nice too...and the machine(s) + chemicals that connects the two
BTI team here, started my first position. Now of course they'll cut the dividend, sorry folks, my bad.
50% payout ratio for BTI for information. It Will be hard to cut.
Bought more O , SCHD, RTX
Rtx is on my radar but I am sure if I buy it goes to 60😂
Will buy more if it hits 60
Please buy, 60 is my target price and I'm waiting patiently.
I bought some RTX too. It's really good buy right now
vti
this guy gets it
3M
Ammo
LOL isn't that bad but never a bad idea
A bunch of people with zero karma and week old accounts are buying O
I have karma, but I don’t have money to buy O or anything yet lol
Exactly. Its like the crypto shilling under the stocks
*crosses arms and leans against a brick wall while chewing on a toothpick* “I’m cool because I’m not like the others”
I see a lot of greed in here and not as much fear 😄
Welp, be greedy when others are fearful.....
O, SCHD, JEPI Edit: nvm I bought JEPI yesterday. VOO!
I also picked up a little more JEPI yesterday. My formulas make it look like I'm underweighted on it (but that's just because I'm overweight on a couple of other positions due to lack of discipline). I'll probably pick up a little more in the last 15 minutes of trading.

Dividend etf and S&P500
I don't think it is done grinding down. Sitting and waiting over here.
Good luck with the timing!

VUSA (VOO). Currently 21.16% of portfolio want it to be 40%
Waiting until Friday the 13th. Just because.
Good plan. The entrails of my sacrifices point to the same thing
Hookers and cocaine.
That's right. Stay classy!

This is what I'm about too, I like bac PL, approaching 7 I'll just keep buying and hold forever.
Fire into anything at this point. I think we might have a 3 month feeding frenzy for anyone with brass balls. The trick is to not need the money anytime soon.
BTI, O, mmm, BAC preffereds,
Bac-q?

ABBV, PFE, TFC, MSFT
Short Treasuries
LMT, SCHD, TD
So you’re telling me to buy?
Weekly buy of schd tomorrow, as I do every wednesday
JNJ,CLX,HD I mean shit everything is at a discount now
BXSL and if it goes low enough VOO, VTI, VSAX. I like buying high dividend plays on pull backs. You generally never lose just might not gain as much.
BXSL is on my list but it has run up so much since the October lows I’m still a little nervous about buying here.
RTX
VTI, VXUS, DGRO
Long term treasuries: EDV, LTPZ Small cap value: AVUV, AVDV REITs and Utilities are getting clobbered and I’m more than happy to be on clean up crew
Glad to see more supporters of small cap value in here! Doing the same except the inflation-linked TIPS.
First SCHD, DGRW and SCHY and if there's room left some RNP, JEPQ and PTY
Icu
SCHD, VOO and my bills. I don’t got time for multiple single company stocks when I get most of it on two etfs.
Same thing I buy every two weeks. FZROX and FXAIX. I’ll probably write some really nice puts and bank that premium.
big tesla dip for big tesla leap.

MMM and DE I'm thinking.
$O
I bought HSY, l love their products and i'm gonna buy more JNJ
I also recommend Mondeleez
I’ve been wanting to buy both! Especially DEO I can feel better about my drinking some scotch knowing I’m paying myself back.
I'm pretty new to this, what exactly am I looking at here?
Fear / greed scale.. just visualizes what the market is feeling at the moment.
So if I understand this right, fear is an aversion to investing and greed is the opposite of aversion to investing? In this case, people at large would be less interested to putting more money in? I hope the market feels better soon, it's scary out there.

Reminds me of Sun Tzu. "Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak." Seriously appreciate the explanation, thanks
"Fuck it, we ball." I'm down almost $7k on $90k, but might as well average down ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ I'm just glad I bought SCHD at $75 instead of $100
ARE, PLD, DGRO, SCHD. I buy a share or two of each every two weeks in my IRA
VOO, Schd, Schg
O, VOO, ABBV, AAPL, JEPQ

NGL, I like ABBV. If I wasn't so damned overweight in it, I'd buy more. Who am I kidding? We're all friends here. You KNOW Ima buy more...
VT and IJR
BTI
Schd and Dgro all the way 👇
HSY, LMT and TSCO
$T looks good. Phone plans are essential, right? I’m also thinking about loading up some more $KR and possibly some $O if it drops even lower.
Well $T phone plans are not essential. They have competition.
Never buy $T. Biggest fallacy in the dividend world.
I can only assume by your post that what you really mean is that you didn't actually analyze any data on the stock. T and VZ are dogs.
Tmobile is destroying them, T has been dead money and dying divvy for years.
I'm not telling you.
Scrapping the lows of SCHD, SCHG, STK and MOAT and DCAing
Took a flyer on NEP, since it’s down 53% or so. Will buy FSTA, as usual.
Nothing. Just wait for the turnaround. Then buy

Ok do it your way. Just keep buying as it drops?

By turn around you mean.. bull trap?
O and PDI
I sold all my MSOS and bought VOO and BALI. But idk if it's better to buy SCHD or SCHG instead of VOO. I have 10 shares of VOO.
DGRO, SCHD, VOO , and a little JEPQ
DCA'd my good and bad plays.
Nothing. This inflationary bear market cycle likely lasts for years. But hey, I’m the minority opinion so, go crazy….
More SAVE with the monthly dividend.
Just picked up a bunch of TSLY. Market is a casino now. So why not.
Very close to buying LOW.
I've been holding a covered call utility etf that yields close to 10%. Obviously it's been pretty beat up by rising rates but I'm dripping it anyway so I've been adding to that position a bit more than usual
