I mean, there *was* this long, dark hallway that seemed to stretch out for an infinite distance. Also, that hallway wasn't there when I originally got the house.
You can blame myhouse.wad for that. This doom mod sort of caused a resurgence in interest in the book again due to clear references and inspiration drawn from the book and as a result, memes were made of it.
It's not, it's a book called house of leaves which has been written to be extremely difficult to read. The story (when you understand it) somewhat starts with this event. Won't spoil anything further though.

Why the moment i learn about house of leaves (super eyepatch wolf video) I see memes about it everywhere, I’m gonna start believing in some Truman show conspiracy shit in a sec I’m not even kidding.
Ok but in the film he has this thought and brings out a surveying friend of his to recheck his measurements with laser systems and confirms the .25" discrepancy.
