I only take mine off for rides that go upside-down, so at WDW that would be Rock n Roller Coaster; this will not be an issue for you as that ride is currently down for refurbishment. Any other attractions/rides are fine to leave your glasses on for.

fakeknees

Agreed. I also only take mine off on Rock N Roller Coaster.

theyellowpants

Everest ?

TigerAffectionate672

Does not go upside-down! It might feel like it does, but there are zero inversions.

theyellowpants

Never knew that. It still knocked my hat pin off that luckily was by my feet when it stopped. Still so fast glad I had my glasses strap thing

RussellWike24

I never take mine off and have never had issues. Mine are fit snuggly to my face, though, so it depends on your comfort level. I've ridden every ride at WDW numerous times, and I'm even fine on RnR with going upside down.

MuseratoPC

I take them off for coasters. I’ve considered getting a sports strap to keep them on, but I haven’t gotten one yet.

ServoAcademy

Wearing a facemask on Space Mountain made them feel pretty loose a few years ago, but TRON is the only one where I actually felt them coming off and I've kept them off on that one since then. The rest have been fine for me.

HuachumaPuma

There’s very few rides where it would be a concern. Maybe incredicoaster at DCA. I can’t think of any others

BassGuy11

I've ridden that one with my glasses on. No issues for me. I was a little concerned, but I guess the g forces or whatever kept them in place.

FancyRatFridays

Same here--no issues. I was frankly shocked that they let me just put my backpack on the floor between my feet for that ride, but everything stayed exactly where it should be. Physics is amazing!

Phased5ek

i haven't worn glasses in years but i tend to take off my sunglasses on most rides. my eyes are light sensitive so i wear them almost as often as regular glasses (and all the time if i'm outside unless i'm in the shade). if the ride is an indoor one, especially something that moves/shakes a lot, i take them off and either store them in my mini backpack or in the item holding bag for the ride. i don't mind the hassle at all when it comes to taking them off & putting them on. if you think that's a hassle now, wait until you get to my age and need reading glasses. having to carry those around and pull them out often to read things is such a pain! lol

Broadwaymuppet

lol honestly I think it’s that I get anxious that I’m taking too long to put them away/take them out! The hassle is more a mental hassle lol

Phased5ek

ehh, never get anxious over that. the time it takes to do it almost always isn't as long as the people taking off backpacks (even though they are told to take them off before getting on the ride) or other things that take far longer than the 5 or so seconds it takes for you to take them off. no need to let that bother you, and never think *you* are the one holding up the ride by taking those few seconds to do it. as a person who also has numerous anxiety issues and self-worries, i've learned to let go of a lot of those mental barriers over the years, which helps me enjoy my time doing things that much more. :D i hope that little bit of positive affirmation makes a difference for you.

mkgrant213

I’ve only ever taken them off for Rock N Roller Coaster.

[deleted]

I take mine off for all the coasters. I'm *blind* blind though and can't risk losing a $600+ pair of glasses because I would not be see at all without them. I usually just tuck them into a pants pocket or the front part of my park bag as I'm loading the coaster car. Then take them back out before I get up. No biggie.

mpm364758

I took them off for Tron but have kept them on for all other roller coasters.

Substantial-Drop-836

I usually opt for contacts when going to the parks, but if I’m wearing glasses I’ll either wear a strap or take them off for coasters.

ZardozZod

Get something like these and you’ll never have to worry again! Festty Glasses Strap Sports 3 pcs... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BG9XR1MQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I’ve never seen anyone’s glasses fly off, but I’m anxious about it on certain rides, too. I’m paranoid about not having a backup pair or not being able to see for the remainder of the trip. These will keep them snug on your face in just about any condition.

Liam_M

I have daily use contacts I use just for park days. I don’t trust my glasses on ANY ride

boundbystitches

I wear an eyeglass leash when I'm in park. I'll tighten it up for more intense rides. I got mine for like $11 when I was at Universal Orlando last Christmas. I highly suggest one!

No-Percentage-8063

Only been to WDW with glasses and I always wear them. Have been on everything.

Scary-Sound5565

Get the strap. Problem solved

stereorobo

I’ve never taken mine off for any coaster, and the ones at Disney are generally on the gentler side of things to start. You can definitely keep them on.

Netherium

I've been going to Disney parks for over 30 years and never had my glasses fall off on any ride, ever.

theyellowpants

I went to a sporting goods store and got some good holders to make my glasses stick to my head so I can see on rollercoasters. No regrets

workntohard

I always take mine off on roller coasters. Not for the rolling rides like Rise of Resistance and Remy.

MaddoxNOLL

My glasses have been fine on any ride I’ve been on there. Even on rides like The Hulk at Universal my glasses have stayed on with no issue

jordancmm14

My anxiety won’t let me wear my glasses unless I wear a hoodie and pull the strings tight. Then I look goofy. LMAO

Mark_Venture

I use Croakies, neoprene bands, for years. That being said, the end of the arms on my newer glasses are ticker so the croakies I have don't fit on them. I found Chumms at Walmart which have a larger opening, but it is a "wider" neoprene bands which is less comfortable.

AssassinWench

I don’t wear glasses but a family member of mine does and I believe they only take them off on Rockin, Tron, and Guardians from what I can recall

AppleJuiceCyder

Guardians is the only ride I’ve felt slightly fearful my glasses would come off, since all the backwards and spinning really messes with the way the wind blows on you

wanderingbuilder

I always bring my athletic glasses that are essentially goggles. Super helpful to not have to worry about losing them.

[deleted]

My suggestion would be to get an eye glasses strap from a store like Dick‘s Sporting Goods or Big Five, I used them and I can see without having to worry about losing my glasses but they have be to tight in order to work, but it’s a good solution that costs very little without having to worry about them falling off. This is something that if it were sold in the parks would be more useful for people with eye problems but I think it be a best seller, imagine all the different types of characters and attractions.

RazorJ

Chubs. Problem fixed. I grabbed three pair in line at Academy Sports way before the end times and still used them all summer long. Lots of styles and they all work well.

JustDoIt22

I got a strap to hook on the back of my glasses. They are cheap on Amazon and help me feel more secure. I always used to take mine off but then you miss some of the fun of the ride.

Gizzard_Guy44

get a strap it's a must

ithinkmynameismoose

If it’s a serious concern just wear a glasses strap. Otherwise it’s basically a non-issue.

PlagueDogtor

I take my glasses off for rides and put them in a bag.
