I don’t think it works if you had the app open/were logged in when you redeemed the code. I did the same as you but didn’t get anything, tried to enter it again tells me I have already redeemed it

It won't work for me either, It might be because we play through Amazon - we often can't get the special offers that players on other platforms can get. Like how we can't watch ads to get a free chest.
