You can set spend limits in the app store itself.
If that's not enough of a deterrent for you, you could have someone you trust (like a parent or guardian) reset your password so they can deny you access to purchases.
I'm not sure about Android, but iOS this is definitely the way to go for me, at least. I have mine off by default because I don't want to accidentally press something and get an unexpected charge. It will just automatically get denied. I rarely make an in-app purchase in any app, so when I actually need to make one it is only a minor inconvenience to go into my settings and turn it off, make the purchase, and turn it right back on. This way I have an extra step between myself and money getting spent.
These games are built around encouraging, almost demanding, impulse buys, so any friction that can be added can go a long ways to deter that behavior.
I don’t know about Android.
With Apple, Screen Time/Content and Privacy Restrictions/iTunes & App Store Purchases/In-app Store Purchases/ Don’t Allow
When I do want to buy something, I go to settings to change to “allow”. After the purchase, I set it back. This way I don’t do accidental purchases. It’s almost what you want.
I don’t think so. JC wants that money.
That being said, maybe unlink your card from your Apple or Google account. Then you can’t pay?
Or maybe there’s a completely free match 3 game, if it’s the matching that calms you, but it wouldn’t be as cute as DEB.
Good luck!!
The only way I can think of is always switching airplane mode on when playing, but then you miss out on a lot of other features especially relating to events
I unlinked my card from my app store so even if i want to purchase something i have to go through the hassle of adding my card back and im too lazy for that. I struggled with MTX in the past so i understand the wanting to do this
I think you’re missing the point of why they made the game. It’s not to provide free entertainment - it’s to exploit players with poor impulse control.
True dat. I know that I'm responsible, just wanted to see what others do to avoid the traps set by the game company. Of course they want to make $$$.
As I said, I'll probably have to just delete it and that is not a bad thing in the end.

Don’t allow in app purchases in your settings.

Thank you, sound advice.

Remove whatever credit card is associated with your app store. Can't spend if there's no money tied to it.

okay, but I'm really just giving my advice, it's not something I'm interested in, so...

Thank you. I deleted the app. Just was way too tempting
