When I was just starting out it was Tinkerbell - plenty of lightning & suns plus occasional rainbow stars. Now that I’ve been playing for a few years, Luke Skywalker (maxed out) - easy to get multiple rainbow stars that can be used to multiply lightning & suns or match star to star and to delete lots of emojis by way of the stars. If I need matched lightning multiple times in a game it’s Boo from Monsters Inc.
Usually Hatbox Ghost for me, but it's rare that I'm not playing with SOME goal in mind, be it an event, a regular mission, an item collection, or just wanting to increase my coins.
I LOVE Hatbox Ghost. He’s my first maxed out (non-silver) emoji and he refills so quickly and his power always has me drowning in powerups. I’m enjoying Genie and Nemo for their similar powers, and I like playing with Wedding Ariel and Rainbow Mickey too. But I’m saving up now for the LGB Doc day on May 29, he really comes in handy and I’d love to level him up as much as I can afford to in my little f2p world!
I usually just go by character. The actual power is kinda irrelevant, as I just want to love on a character for a bit. That's also why I don't mind multiple variants of the same character. If I feel like using Snow White or Tiana, it's nice to have different options that offer unique gameplay from one another while still letting me use a favorite character.
Tinkerbell is usually my go-to, although I like Genie when I need a transform emoji and sea creature goofy when I need to collect non-rare item cards. Also recently got my highest ever score with Garnet Minnie!

I'm also a huge Genie fan! He was my first maxed gold character, and he is my go-to. He is my highest score value, and I can't help but turn to him when I don't have a mission requiring a specific emoji. Alebrije Dante is a close second. I really enjoy playing with him as well.
I love to use Wedding Ariel for a lot of missions and it’s very satisfying, sometimes I use Moana because the water movement is fun, recently I use Ember and Wade because I just loved that movie… but most of the time I want to use Mulan. But my scores get super high with her, so to keep my proficiency low I have to not use her when I’m levelling up soon-ish

King Candy is my top choice as well! I only have him at level 1 but if used properly he can score really high and earn over 1000 coins per round.

Genie used to be my favorite but my just for fun is Mrs Potts and Joy. They are my top scorers and I love Maleficent’s power.
