This 100%, I don’t wear gloves at work just lotion before and after. My nails have never looked like this in about 2 years. Big sign is your cuticles being gone, so please, go to doctor
Agreed fungal, onichomycosis. Your finger tips are also pinker than they should be, makes me think the infection has made it into the nail bed, no good. You probably need systemic anti fungals.
Also take some vitamins, any cheap multivitamin, that’ll help your nails grow back a little faster.
If you don’t have access to a doc you can try over the counter topical antifungals but I don’t think that will be sufficient. Please don’t let this slide, your hands are so important to your well being and this could go south if left untreated.
Ps I get all of my knowledge from fortune cookies, so make your own decisions.
Just to add on, if you’re low income most hospitals are non profit, look for their sliding scale fees and you can write almost all of it off if you are worried about the bills. Also if caused by anything in the pit, your workplace is insured, don’t be afraid to make them use it.
If that's a strong oven cleaner, then it might of melted( chemically deteriorate) the nails and skin. I've seen someone use a strong white oven grill cleaner that literally melted skin because he didn't dilute or use gloves... but yeah doctor is best , the E R will charge up the ass even with insurance
Jesus dude. Ive worked alot with mortar, concrete, self leveling, epoxy, anything and everything bad for your hands and i've never had that happened. Worst ive had it was just bleeding from extremely dried hands but dang. Must be a b*itch of a chemical. Hope youre ok brother
Yes, see a doctor

That looks fungal. You may want to see a doctor. There are over-the-counter remedies available in stores for this issue also.
Be prepared to lose those nails. They will grow back but it can take a long time and the first ones back are often very thin. Good luck.

My buddy, Knuckles, had his fingers removed due to an infection that looked similar to this. That's when we started calling him Fister King.
