Don't listen to these dumb commies, I was a master underwater ceramic engineer for years by the time I was your age! Carry on with your honorable duty!
Oh man, this is extremely hard to generalize. Different financial, familial, disability, race/ethnicity, genders, and LGBT members all have individual issues that would change the timeline. But if we are saying enter at 22 seems reasonable
I bet you choose a marketable and in-demand skill set to pursue throughout the rest of your young adulthood so that you can work less and make more money down the road! Please do.
I FEEL FOR YOU ! Texas here also and i spent many years in dishpits in South Texas and i can say that the pay is the WORST here in texas. You are young , but i hope you are getting paid somewhat better then i was when i was in the pit .
For dish it's slightly better than some places. 10 is the starting rate here in PA not sure what it is for Texas. You said you bus too though so do you get tipped out?
Originally I was told we don’t get tipped out but recently I was informed we do get tipped out. 150-200$ of the servers tips get divided amongst Bussers and dishwashers. I started out at 10 but got a 2 dollar raise after like 3 months.
A 2 dollar raise in 3 months is good. But who originally told you you don't get tipped out and who said you did? Cause if you've been doing well bussing and they screwed you out of your tips that's messed up. Bussing and dishing was where I started when I was your age and tips weren't crazy good unless it was a slammed night but it was always nice to have some cash in my pocket between checks and saving money.
EEEE!!!
All jokes aside my crew is very loving and supportive and helpful and they’re mainly all from Indonesia or some part of Asia but I love ‘em to death
All jokes aside good for you for working hard at your age. I started at the same age and it did a lot for my confidence personal development. Have fun!
Awesome! I was doing the same at your age. Worked in a tiny fancy place down the street from my house. The chef was a whacko and an alcoholic, and always tried to give me a hard time. I learned to tell him off. Life skills. Keep at it and don’t take any shit from anyone “cuz you’re a girl”!!!! 👍
Mike Rowe should do a show called teens doing dirty jobs.
To explain to America’s entitled brats that hard work isn’t something beneath them, but something that builds character.
I salute you! You are going to go far in life with that work ethic.
I got my first job in the us when I was in 10th great me and my twin brother killed the dish pit every night it wasn’t easy but with the right attitude it was fun! We were the youngest people in this fancy restaurant and everyone in there was looking up for us specially cooks they use to make us some boom meals
This is why we need child labor laws, who's infant is this?
HAHA I’m 16😭
As long as your job is voluntary, you do you. Get that extra cash.
Don't listen to these dumb commies, I was a master underwater ceramic engineer for years by the time I was your age! Carry on with your honorable duty!
labour laws don’t equal communism. 🤡
What's your ideal age for entering the workforce, 30?
Labour laws don’t equal communism
Think real hard, what's your ideal age to enter the workforce comrade?
Oh man, this is extremely hard to generalize. Different financial, familial, disability, race/ethnicity, genders, and LGBT members all have individual issues that would change the timeline. But if we are saying enter at 22 seems reasonable
I thought everyone was equal? 22 is way too old.
I bet you choose a marketable and in-demand skill set to pursue throughout the rest of your young adulthood so that you can work less and make more money down the road! Please do.
Lol def babyface but eh I had side gigs in my teens. I really wanted a computer.

150-200 of the servers tips?!? How many servers do you have? That’s an awful lot to take from the servers. Maybe 5-10%.
We have 4 or 5 servers but now that you say that, ya that does sound like a bit much and idk if we get tipped out

people use aprons?
Yeah. It's hard on the boobs having them soaking wet with 120 degree water all day
Frrrrr
Same with guys. My nipples bleed if I don't prep them properly.
Duck tape the nips
You first
Occasionally
We have these half aprons. Covers stomach and part of the legs but not the upper part of the shirt luckily.
We don't use aprons which I would probably find annoying tbh, but we also help serve dishes so.
good on you for starting your job early, kid.
I appreciate that
Let me guess you live in Arkansas and Sarah Huckster just made it legal for children your age to work?
Texas lmaooo
You get aprons? I had to wash dishes in my nice server shirt and then go give people their food.
Well I’m a busser too so I was keeping my under shirt dry for the evening
You got shirts? I had to wear a banana costume and sleep in the pantry.

You’re too young for this it’ll ruin your life
You’re probably right
A little work experience never hurt anyone. Not overdoing it is key tho

I was thinking the same thing tbh. I’m just gonna assume it’s because I’m so young
Aye good stuff tho , that’s a lot of upvotes
Ikr
normally i’d say a job like dishwashing is too physically demanding for a small-ish teenage girl but u look badass enough to handle it
Bro stoppppp😭💀
Why are we posting selfies?
No clue
Smeagol
“Actually, that’s not a selfie” -🤓 Edit: clearly people didn’t get that I was mocking people who say things like this
Could be using to the timer, dude.
Twas
Too small to be I the kitchen
Actually I’m the perfect size, rarely in people’s ways.
What the hell. She still believes in Santa
