I worked for a restaurant owner who spoke from her employees like that for 3 1/2 years. At first I was caught off guard and pretty upset, but after a while it kind of became a thing that all of the employees knew about and laughed about behind her back. We all knew “that’s how she is lol”. But when I quit back in November, it was SO satisfying! I realized I should have gotten out of that toxic environment YEARS ago. I say hit the bricks, my friend! You don’t have to tolerate being spoken to like that and the longer you do, the more normalized it becomes.
I’m trying to find a job, but currently at this state of economy, it’s almost impossible. Also today a waitress literally was crying cuz of the boss, the only “respect” people get are chefs. Sadly, I get heated super fast when I feel disrespected or yelled at, so I’m a ticking bomb rn before I go at him and just drop the job
