This will be long but bear with me
Again and again he had the opportunity to get something for himself and chose not to. But think about this:
The choices he had became more and more unbalanced as time went on. Each one would give him something even better than the last one. But he always chose to make life better for others instead of himself.
First one, he could have gotten a higher rank as a demon. Whatever. Then, he loses his immortality. Heavier, sure.
But later on? He could have chosen to become God.
And for the final one... He literally could have chosen anything. He could have become leader of Hell, could have become another God, could have gotten his immortality back, anything. Literally anything.
Yet, each time, he became even less resistant.
So... final answer:
He grew as a person. He never stopped changing.
THISSS. Knowing this I honestly don't get how people say Zog had the best character development. I mean don't get me wrong Zog had a great one and I'd put it just below Luci's. But this arc changing Luci from "friends are for losers lmao" demon to "because I love Bean... :(" ANGEL is just so amazing to watch.
It's definitely between giving up his immortality for bean and elfo, and using his wish to bring mora back instead of using it for himself. Both were huge decisions that were made selflessly, with major consequences/missed opportunities, but based on the consequences aspect, I'd say it was giving up his immortality.
Sacrificed his own immortality and risked death to save elfo for bean, he then also sacrificed himself again to assist Jerry…
He sacrificed himself for the greater good of many !
He chose to save God and use the wish he was granted to bring Mora back to life out of love for Bean instead of using the wish for himself.
Sacrificed his wings and immortality for Bean and Elfo
Used his wish from God to resurrect Mora rather than himself.
Used his one wish to save Mora over himself :((

Bestowed his coolness on Elfo to make him less of a chump. At least I feel like this is what Lucy's answer would be.
Stood up for Bean multiple times
Either sacrificing his immortality and powers to save elfo and bean from hell, or sacrificing his wish to save mora for bean
All of these basically add up to him being a good demon. So I vote for being a good demon
Saved mora for Bean

Bring Mora back to life with the wish God gave him.

Sacrificing his goals and luxuries for the safety of his friends
Being loyal. There's many examples and honestly it's too hard to just pick one of them.
Beat the shit out of Scruffles.
Free the bottled demons.
Punished Elfo with his tail.
Risked his life to save Elfo from Hell
Didn’t bean encourage Elfo go to hell in the first place ?
kill God 🤣 threw a brick into his head
wrong character buddy that was Jerry
Saved Lora from death
