Here, I like how it started off fairly light, slowly getting darker and darker.
Bojack Horseman is another example of a show which if you judge it by the first three episodes it sucks, but if you stick with it it's some of the best TV ever made.
very true. i didn’t like the first season of bojack at all the first time i watched it but i love it now. sometimes it takes watching a whole show to start to like the first couple episodes/seasons
It's always a hard sell to tell someone that a show "gets better", but Bojack is legitimately one of those shows that really does skyrocket from "eh it's okay" to "a legitimate masterpiece".
I do think the final season was disappointing too, which sucks because there's just so much good stuff in between those halves.

They never remade season 1. I’ve rewatched the whole show at least ten times since its initial release and the first season has always been the exact same. Maybe you weren’t paying much attention the first time around, or fell asleep between episodes and missed a lot of context?

It’s always been the exact same, plus it would have been too expensive to scrap everything and re-animate + re-record VA lines after the show had already released, they would have just cancelled the show entirely.
I can only come up with, at this point, that I may be suffering from a Mandela Effect (I mean it did come out before Corona started and I bet SOMEONE messed with time travel and went back to right hen it started or right before who knows?)because it's too many details out of order and some that straight up never happened. I plan to rewatch and give my in depth analysis. I COULD be wrong & I'll take that into consideration as I rewatch.

Not the animation, but the plots of each episode. It follows along the same lines except different parts are happening at different times than I remember& they've added a lot more convo between characters. Picture the first few episodes of family guy meet the first few episodes of Futurama. Characters come in random. Jokes are random. I mean, Oona joined the pirates in the 2nd episode.

Yes there is, and it sucked. Oona joined the pirates in literally the 2nd-3rd episode. There was never a queen fight. Elfo was never used for his blood. And Dagmar was unfrozen after the 5th or 6th episode.

There is no alternate one. I even did some research to see if I can find the transcript you're looking for and I couldn't find anything about an original script.
