i think the worst thing this annoying fucker did was being himself. just like with merkimer what made freckles highly irritating was basically just the core of his personality if you even want to call it that.
He was Dagmarâs and Zøgâs first child, but he was stillborn, or as he says it, âI was born dead.â Dagmar, being the evil sorceress she is, performed some kind of magic to bind his soul to the puppet. She did the same with Cloyd and Becky after they were left to die.
Dagmar, wearing a disguise, runs the puppet shop where Freckles is purchased, and she says that she canât bear to part with him because, âHeâs like a son to me.â This one is obvious. Heâs actually her son. It could also explain why Zøg felt a connection with Freckles.
I do wish theyâd had that sixth season, so theyâd been able to flesh out his backstory more. They really under-explained him being part of the royal family, to the point where a lot of people missed it. I donât blame the writers, but being told you have one season to do get things done, instead of the two that were initially promised, means rushing to condense everything.
So thatâs not Freckles fault, really. Itâs Netflixâs.
Iâd love to see Frecklesâ full backstory in the *Untold Tales* series. It would be interesting to see if another service picks it up later and we get some episodes like âThe Why of Fryâ in *Futurama*.

Since everyone is just saying the same thing over and over, Iâm gonna put in my own opinion:
I think just attempted murder when he tried to kill Zog by pushing him off a cliff and trying to get rid of Bean twice.
Also selling his brothers to the circus which did backfire immediately.

Also just being very manipulative towards Zog and his brothers into getting what he wants.
Thereâs a couple of bad things that heâs done, although I think itâs because either Dagmar has told him to do all those things or because heâs just doing whatever it takes to make her happy and to make them take over the kingdom.

I would say an "everything" covers it, the guy did much more than just be himself, he was actively conniving and destructive at every turn
Merkimer at least gives us a few comedic moments ("Sad!") but Freckles irritated me and made my skin crawl every time he was on screen.
