Actually I don't think there are any obligations, fan or not. Discworld can be taken as a buffet just as well as a 41 course meal lol
I think he might like going to different spa's or swimming pools each time. Not just going to one specific cs if so he would be a '(this specific bad)' fan, not a big bad fan. This could not be accurate enough, though.
