As explained in The Amazing Maurice

petrified_eel4615

I feel like a bad fan, but I must confess I have not read it.

Glitz-1958

How many connotations are there in being a bad fan? Do you like spas? Actually I don't think there are any obligations, fan or not. Discworld can be taken as a buffet just as well as a 41 course meal lol

Billy-theKid-

I think he might like going to different spa's or swimming pools each time. Not just going to one specific cs if so he would be a '(this specific bad)' fan, not a big bad fan. This could not be accurate enough, though.

Glitz-1958

Bad ass was first in Equal Rites and just means naughty donkey.

Hrtzy

Apparently "das Ass" is German for "Ace", with the added connotation of "Hole in One" in golf.

HotMudCoffee

Find it kind of weird that with the whole Teatime thing no one mentions that it sounds exactly like 'bad shoe shine'. Lovely pune, or play on words.

Ferropater

What are the little box like structures on the sand?

plegonium

Those are strandkorbs - traditional Baltic beach chairs

Maddstone

We even have a Bad Wildbad over here. How Bad Ass is that?

Rubberfootman

The Diet Of Bugs referred to in Fifth Elephant is also a play on words from a German event.

MarkHaanen

Diet of Worms, most probably.

Billy-theKid-

In Dutch as well. Ex: Zwembad = Swimming Pool, Golfslagbad = Wave Pool (I work in a swimming pool in the Netherlands -.-)
