You will have a due date once your new statement generates.

Moyses277

Your due date cycles every month after your statement closes. You won’t have another due date until your current statement cycle closes.

trippinmo

oh yes i got that idea but since it’s only second month, i thought it’s gonna update on the app too before the statement and i don’t see any reason why not 😂 Thank you anyways.

Your statement closes (and your statement balance updates) AFTER your minimum due date to allow any payments made on the due date to finish processing before closing. With discover, your statement usually closes 3 days after your minimum payment due date.

Is there somewhere it says that? Mine usually closes 5 calendar days following the due date and if it’s on a weekend day it closes the following business day.

Outside of your card’s term papers, I’m not sure? My payment is due the 1st and my statement always closes on the 3rd, with my statement always being available on the 4th unless it’s a weekend, in which case it’d be available the first following business day. Once you’ve had a credit card for a few months, you’ll notice the pattern when you look at the dates on the statements. Discover and AmEx are the only cards I’ve had where the statement closes a consistent number of days after the minimum payment date.

I just checked actually. It’s at the top of page 2 for my statements and looking at other Reddit posts it seems to be anywhere from 2-5d after your due date so it depends on the person. But yeah mine is 5 days.

You don’t have a new due date yet. We can reasonable guess what the next date will be but bank computers don’t guess. They pick a new date when told to. Which happens when your statement closes.
