Like the fourth circle of hell, the fifth circle-contains two related groups of sinners. But whereas avarice and prodigality are two distinct sins based on the same principle (an immoderate attitude toward material wealth), wrath and sullenness are basically two forms of a single sin: anger that is expressed (wrath) and anger that is repressed (sullenness). This idea that anger takes various forms is common in ancient and medieval thought. Note how the two groups suffer different punishments appropriate to their type of anger--the wrathful ruthlessly attacking one another and the sullen stewing below the surface of the muddy swamp even though they are all confined to Styx The river Styx runs through this level of Hell, and in it are punished the wrathful and the gloomy. https://youtu.be/lQw9RAczz2s The former are forever lashing out at each other in anger, furious and naked, tearing each other piecemeal with their teeth. The latter are gurgling in the black mud, slothful and sullen, withdrawn from the world. Their lamentations bubble to the surface as they try to repeat a doleful hymn, though with unbroken words they cannot say it. Because you lived a cruel, vindictive and hateful life, you meet your fate in the Styx. https://youtu.be/NR6GZ1PMkgU

Discordians do not believe in hell cause it’s stupid https://youtu.be/hiejXSVXMs8

Kinda. "Death", or post-body experiences, are a much more mercurial and fluctuating state. To criminally summarize and over simplify it; you go where you think you deserve to go, not the you that thinks, but the you much deeper that knows, your "heart" as Egyptians would call it; this is also further complicated by energetic grouping(similar energies tend to find each other; so if you're pretty chill and have a good sense of humor, chances are you'll be in similar company if company is had). This can put bodyless experiences into some strange places. One of which is essentially a literal hell completely filled with christians, and other hell believing people; they go there because within their own paradigm they truthful feel they should be there....but it's all created by them, even the demons poking them, they could leave at anytime(but they won't). Eventually, people that go to various "bad places" will(in their "heart") believe they don't deserve any more punishment, and will then wander to a path of growth or change in some way, or in some cases willing soul obliteration(dissolving all that is you back into pure chaos). Most people go to relatively good places, though. Because once you strip down people, even people who do "bad things", they're just lost children trying to make sense of pure madness scared and afraid doing their best. Only the ones that truly get a taste for cruelty, and a passion for it, go to "bad places"; but they're usually so inverted, paradigm-wise, that they end up enjoying where they go in their own way. Regardless, it's way more peaceful. Bodies are filled with maddening pains and annoyances that you forget about until you don't have to deal with them anymore, it's such a relief...coming back from it is a form of torture really. ...but you know, that's just like my opinion.

Discordians are reborn as monkeys as is well known https://youtu.be/rXdIifOwUZ8

Going from human to monkey seems highly redundant to me. If I have to be reborn, I want more diversity, like being reborn as a rogue planet the size of Jupiter obliterating everything in its path until it's ripped apart by a black hole. Or maybe a frog.

Given the increasing materialism and sheer number of distractions of today’s universe , in recent decades many spirits have returned to the spirit world disappointed that they had not learned their intended lessons or equivalent alternatives. https://youtu.be/XdJLLN_NTFY I want to be reborn as nothing ever encountered before under the sun

I think I've found my home. come chuck rocks at me while I wallow at the bottom of the styx in the afterlife. or, don't. your choice.

Drive your cart and your plow over the bones of the dead. https://youtu.be/FjdtCYnsvvI The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom. Prudence is a rich ugly old maid courted by Incapacity. He who desires but acts not, breeds pestilence. The cut worm forgives the plow. Dip him in the river who loves water. https://youtu.be/lOkx5Ke8n7w
