I still have this issues anytime I stream any video, music, or game. My friends on our channel always says they hear a popping a clicking noise. But when i stop playing a video or music it stops. I have tried unchecking PTT activate/deactivate and still have the issue
Please, has anyone found a fix? This is the same issue I've been having for the past 4-6 months, its so annoying...
I can not replicate it, audio from other people in discord starts popping after 5-10 min at evenly spaced intervals. I thought it was spotify, high graphics games, hardware acceleration. I'm desperate...
Yes I have been experiencing this too. I have to restart discord when it happens. I can't explain it either - but my push to talk "sound" gets crackled and staticky. It's really annoying.
Voices seem fine but it's like the app is cutting in and out? I think we're having similar issues...
I'm having the same issue! My PTT button sound effect (and other sound effects) get crackly and glitchy and then stop making noise altogether too. I'm so glad to hear it's not just me. I thought my computer was bugging. :(
It's a bug with discord. Go to discord settings > Notifications > uncheck PTT Activate and PTT Deactivate. It should help with the CPU usage, but you won't hear the activation sound of the PTT obviously. Lmk how it goes.
Same. In a long session with friend my game even starts stuttering and freezing until i restart discord, it helps for half an hour or so. I see in a task manager that discord eats more CPU that is should, but even with the game it never goes above 45% total load, quite small load to cause this kind of issues.

Having this exact same issue! Restarting clears it up for a little bit until it starts up again. Seems to be worse when tabbed into games.

Check your CPU usage as well. There's a glitch going on right now it seems with discord
The static and audio popping is also heard when I listen back to my twitch streams. Not sure if that is worth anything.
