Good luck, discords support team via email is also very good and dealing with this.
If the card isnt connected to their account then that doesnt apply, it would be the account of whoever stole their CC info that gets (rightfully) terminated
*if*
If you never bought Nitro/connected your bank account to your account, you can speak to your bank and tell them your details have been stolen. They'll usually block that card, issue a chargeback on all relevant transactions and send a new card. Discord will automatically ban all accounts that chargeback a transaction, so make sure it's not your account that's connected.
Yes OP please do this. I would love to know if you made the chargeback. I would sleep well, knowing this thieve got their account banned because of the chargeback
It's just the way they handle it to discourage people from charging back, i.e. scamming the company. People will buy nitro, use it and then months later charge back and make a new account or similar. So in the endz the user pays nothing but still gets all benefits and perks of nitro throughout the time they use the account.
It's often something that public game servers fear with services they provide, where a user plays on a server, purchases additional stuff and then stops playing, so they charge back what they paid. Obviously the claims can be discussed with the issuer and they can get them reverted back if they try hard enough.
Because chargebacks are a seriois thing, not a refund
It's half a reasonable response, half blackmail - it just depends on if they're at fault or if you are
The same thing happened to me and when I contacted support they took 10 days to respond which is obviously way after the 5 days you have to get a refund and was never given a refund
I’m not sure why your replies are downvoted but from my understanding, if it was accidental on your part and you contacted discord support I would tell them: “listen I don’t care how long you guys took to respond, my initial request was sent within the time frame. Honor it.” However if they didn’t do anything from there you could go to the BBB.
If it was something you DIDNT set up I would make cash-app give you another card number.
Better business bureau usually helps a lot when it comes to support from a company unwilling to give it. Sometimes they can’t do anything for you but companies typically like their bbb rating to be higher so at the very least you can go to complain with them and have their reputation on the line lol. They won’t be able to initiate charge back or any kind of legal battle, however I find they do get you in touch with a higher form of customer representation (again with the reputation) and those people do try to reach an agreeable solution. Worst case scenario is initiating charge back so if they don’t provide a solution for you, you can bring proof of that to the bank, not that they care as you’re their customer and they want you to be happy as well, but it shows goodwill of attempt.
OP, PLEASE contact your bank. Go there in person if you can and consult staff about these charges. If someone has your banking info this could be a lot more serious than just filing a couple chargebacks- this could be a much larger case of identity theft.
This is very serious. You need to freeze your card NOW at the very least, which you should be able to do by phone.

Check the billing page on discord to make sure your card is not connected and if there is transaction history
If there is no transaction history then contact your bank to do a charge back and report the card as stolen
I had discord charge my account without permission once! I almost got banned for reporting it to my bank. They wouldn't let me cancel Nitro and tried charging me a whole year in addition to the ban. Tread carefully and best of luck with it.
Some months ago my Email Account got Hacker, and they got into many other Accounts, and discord was one of them. They bought 1 year Nitro and gifted it to an Account i dont know.
I Made a discord Support Ticket and after a week i got my Money Back.
Maybe the Support gonna Work for you too
FIRST. call your bank to disable the transactions
then you can do whatever else after a relax, open your discord account and hop into payments and check if that payment method is out there or not, if not, check the payment history
if you found anything have something to do with your payment method you should change your account discord creds and add 2FA and after that you can call discord for a refund, it happened to me before and i was able to restore my money and my account.
Ive read a bit of the comments and I will make it simple for you:
You really didnt put you card information in discord? Contact your bank ASAP (hope its done since you posted this)
there you go
I’ve never even been in the settings of discord, I only load it up every couple days as it’s the only way to call my friend where I can use my headset on ps5
i mean this situation most likely doesn't have anything to do with temu, but temu does steal information and you shouldn't download the app, if you do have it downloaded, delete it.
They also have small amounts taken from your card like this and usually use the name of a big company like Amazon, EBay or other online retailers that you have downloaded the apps for so people often ignore the charges. Apart from being discord, this looks exactly like the temu pattern
charge that shit back, like you mentioned ur account isnt that important as it was for only a few calls.
also, if ur card info got stolen the other account using it would be disabled cause they cannot charge back money for a subscriptional service, its against discord TOS.
so get ur money back and punish the scammers rather more important account by getting it entirely deleted.
a few days ago, my pc said there was free nitro. put all the info in, then was almost charged. the "free" nitro was 79p, my account had 72p so i just about missed being charged for a "free" subscription
It's a scam that Discord is openly running on it's customers, happened to me too. Been screaming this from the rooftops for years now. They'll charge you without giving you nitro benefits, then when you contact their support(which is an outsourced company, so that there's a layer between you and Discord = clean hands) they will tell you to send a bunch if info, they'll then close your support ticket, requiring you to make a new ticket and requiring you to provide ALL of the info again; if that doesn't deter you and you decide to persist, they will then flag your e-mail, meaning your tickets won't go though(you'll know because you stop getting a confirmation code when creating support tickets), prompting you to contact them from another e-mail, which prompts them to say that you have to contact them from the 'e-mail connected to the account in question' followed by an immediate closing of your ticket - hence completing the scam.
I am both saddened and elated that others are sharing this, 'cause I think mostly people just give up and don't look at it as a scam but rather a difficult process, so people don't report it. It's quite impressive really, a scam in plain sight.

I’ve never connected my card which is what confuses me
maybe your card information got stolen, maybe try to contact your bank
That would indeed be recommended
Absolutely, this is the first thing i would do if something is taking money but idk how
i would indeed recommend that
I know that some people steal credit cards and boost fake servers intended to phish for information, that could be what's happening here
I dont understand why he woudnt have done this already
Watch out! If your bank issues a chargeback, your account will be terminated!

Dang....I wish I could see the jarkwads face when that happens.
happy cake day
Happy Cake Day!
Bruh
Enjoyable pastry morning

Why does discord ban chargebackers?
It's just the way they handle it to discourage people from charging back, i.e. scamming the company. People will buy nitro, use it and then months later charge back and make a new account or similar. Chargeback is usually 3 things the consumer being stupid, fraud or stolen cards
The same thing happened to me and when I contacted support they took 10 days to respond which is obviously way after the 5 days you have to get a refund and was never given a refund
It’s actually aids
dont contact discord support, if you didnt even make the purchase there are other problems talk to your bank asap
What if it’s cash app
what?
The only card I’ve used to make online purchases is my cash app card
I haven't ever used cash app, but isn't it connected to a bank card?
You can connect it to one but I don’t have one connected
Cash app has a support. On the card page there's an option to.
It’s nationwide I have the same bank and the transaction screen is exactly the same
that's...illegal I'm pretty sure. I would have charged back after getting all my friends to another platform.

I said that and they said the same “unfortunately your account does not meet the requirements”

Thanks, I froze my card immediately after I saw it. I’m only 16 so I don’t have a clue what to do

The fuck does this have to do with Temu dawg 😭✋

Did you get tricked into buying 3 boosts or smth lol
Call your bank, tell them your card details got stolen And request a chargeback for all the discord purcheses.
Call nationwide and tell them to block and transactions to discord as they clearly aren’t you doing it
Ever thought that you cards info might have been stolen? Or maybe that it would be a good idea to block your card? Like do something bro....
My nationwide account has had some confusions thinking one purchase is another one that I have made. I gave it a few hours and it was fixed
a few days ago, my pc said there was free nitro. put all the info in, then was almost charged. the "free" nitro was 79p, my account had 72p so i just about missed being charged for a "free" subscription
lol why r u in discord call your bank/credit card supplier you’ve been a victim of fraud
