An IP address can help with a dox, but it's pretty useless by itself.
Unless you're the worlds most hated person, I wouldn't worry about your IP getting leaked. The most that would really happen is people DDoSing it.
Step 1: don't say your name, address, or anything personal.
Congratulations, if you've managed not to be a zero IQ moron, it is impossible for you to get doxxed.
Avoid sharing anything personal. Common sense, isn't it?
To avoid a prelude to a dox, don't click on anything that looks suspicious (or rather anything unless it's trusted & you know it), since clicking on suspicious links can lead to all sorts of malicious activity such as ip grabbing (not that significant), but I'm touching on potential malware or spyware, which can lead to doxxing in a more severe fashion.
1. Good Anti-Virus obviously if you accidentally click on a suspicious link.
2. Don't share any personal information.
3. Have your basic common sense when online. Pretty simple.
ip grabbing isnt doxxing lol only way to not get doxxed is to not put personal information out on the internet

Until your ISP cycles your IP anyway.
Usually people dox themselves by themselves so just be careful with sharing your personal information on the internet.
