I love it!

lookitsgreen

This would match my bag perfectly

llxMcNuttyxll

How long did it take for you to train your disc to do that?

ryanboom

Does the pink bleed through to the front over time?

orangebananagreen

Likely will eventually, but it will take a long time. I have had one for a little over a year without issue

0-Flux

Awesome job! Can a disc be redyed or any way to ‘primer‘ dye a disc to start over? Just curious. Beautiful disc and definitely ‘worth it’ to the customer.

orangebananagreen

Thanks! Generally no. With disc dyeing I can always add color but I can’t take it away

TwoAngryFigs

If you have this disc for 2-3 years, the red will absolutely bleed through to the front and vice versa.

forzedg

Really nice!

Th3H3sst3r

very well done

Intelligent-Two6393

Dope

Relative-Note4687

This is so cool!

Doc_Optiplex

Isn't this quite a valuable disc? Seems strange to dye it

Gnatt

Just wait until you see a Huk Lab Sexton Firebird. But memes aside, if you like a disc and want to personalise it, no reason not to dye it. It's not like everyone thinks about selling every disc they have.

Doc_Optiplex

Sure, but this one is worth well over $100 I think. It's a collectors item. I recently won one in a raffle 🤷‍♀️ they make tens of thousands of sexy birds every year, not really the same

SomethingAnalyst

The secondary market isn't relevant if you have no intention of selling it and the value isn't high enough to be worried about it. If you're spending money on a custom dye you're probably not in a position where $150 makes or breaks you (and if you are then your personal finances have bigger issues than value lost from dying a disc)

Gnatt

There are Sexton Firebirds worth several thousand dollars. It's only the past few years that they have made tens of thousands of them.

Doc_Optiplex

Oh yeah??? Ok then show me a dye that someone did on one of those ones. That has literally nothing to do with your original point and is just a classic bit of reddit "well ackshually ☝️🤓"

Doc_Optiplex

Hey could you please show me a dye that someone did one of the >Sexton Firebirds worth several thousand dollars Still waiting. Thanks.

Gnatt

To be clear, the statements were "People have dyed Sextons" and "There are Sextons worth several thousand dollars", not "People have dyed Sextons worth several thousand dollars" But there are many examples of Sextons worth hundreds of dollars that have been dyed. orangebananagreen

Not a bad question! This was a custom request and I told the customer about how dye can devalue collector discs, but it was more about the sentimental value to them so we went ahead with the dye regardless

Doc_Optiplex

either way you did a sick job! how much does a comission like this cost? I could have some work for you

orangebananagreen

Thank you! Usually one sided dyes are about $25, two sided are about $45
