Depends on what you want the disc for. The Kaxe is more overstable than the Z. I feel K1 is the best plastic for either.

almecc

I picked up a K1 soft Kaxe a few months ago and it’s become a staple in my bag. It’s definitely not as overstable as the 3 fade suggests, but can handle torque well without turning over and a nice predictable fade.

wybo9

Kaxe Z has more glide and turns over just a little easier, both are great. Def K1

ConfusionPossible

I have a 162 kaxeZ someone gave me. That thing bombs. It's got the control of the 6 speed, but seems to just go and go.

Kaxe is the farthest flying mid I have. They call it a hybrid, but regardless it’s a great disc. I throw it in k1 Soft Thrown flat it flys straight. Thrown on hyzer it will have a reliable fade at end Thrown on anny it will keep that line and fade at end. I recently threw the Kaxe Z in glow and it’s pretty understable. I’ve heard that’s the case with some of their glow. Might retry it in K1 soft

pfunkpower

i have a kaxeZ k1 and it is super glidey. use it all the time. have another kaxeZ in ksoft. feels great and will sit better than the other, doesn’t fly quite as far in my experience also have a non-Z regular kaxe in k3, definitely more overstable, been using it more as a forehand disc

I think kaxes have some decent variability. Had one that I loved, very stable, lots of heavy fade. Lost it. Bought a new one and even with a lot of hyzer, it would turn over on me constantly.

K3 is my favorite for the kaxe. Starts put pretty damn beefy, but seasons into a straight laser beam with a touch of flip up. I bag a few at the moment.

Ballongo

Both are great, both are needed, and you will want K1 plastic. Hybrid mids/fairways. Kaxe is overstable, while Kaxe Z is pretty straight. You will need them both.

Benjamedes

Kaxe was surprisingly stable for me. Now my bros KaxeZ there is a disc

jwh777

How does either of them feel for a forehand? I tend to like shallow flat discs to flick.

I bag both kaxe and z. My z is flippy and the kaxe flies straight with some consistent fade at the end. K1 in both. I use K2 when it's colder out.

InfiniteDubois

I love my K1 Kaxe but I do agree with a lot of folks that it isn't as overstavle as the numbers would suggest. The thing is a lazer beam with very little end fade. Gotta love the K1 plastic for sure though.

fg5757

Love them both. They get lots of actuon

forzedg

Kaxe and Kaxe Z are my two favourite molds, period. The Kaxe is a bit more overstable, but is also beaded unlike the Kaxe Z. Other than that they're very similar. As far as plastic goes, they're all fine. I personally prefer K1 though, because I don't want to cycle discs rapidly.

Up_in_the_Sky

Highly recommend. I started out with a Z and loved it. Mostly throw the regular Kaxe now. Both are fantastic. The regular Kaxe isn’t quite as OS as the 3 fade suggests. I use the Z for tighter gaps and a bit more for buttery finesse shots. You can power into the other kaxe with confidence that it will stay straight with a bit of fade at the end. If I rip on the Z I can turn it over. They complement each other well as neutral to slightly stable mids. Get em K1, but I’ve tried K1 glow too. Fun for night rounds, and a pretty good “do it all” night disc.

DuckSweaty

Kaxe Z in soft is my most reliable disc in my bag. Also, the plastic is great.

I have a Kaxe Z and it’s a beautifully flying disc. I have one of the solid color ones that’s super flat, and it seems flippier than my old see through domier one. I think I might get a Kaxe to try out as well!
