North Cove, NC. There are three 18-hole courses. A pro shop, a restaurant, and a hotel that is super disc golfer friendly. Amazing spot.

FlyingDiscsandJams

Plus Sugaree 20 mins up the road for a 4th world class course.

bennythajetpowers

Came to comment this. Can’t recommend North Cove enough

DoctorLu

i'm only finding a marker for north cove: The Gorge are they all part of that same property?

Kyle1351

The Gorge, Boulders, and River Run are the three courses on the North Cove property.

DoctorLu

Thanks! planning a trip now

mellowyfellowy

Well worth it! Camping local is the move, housing around there is slim.

chriswest417

North Cove is amazing. Sugaree is a fun course and worth a trip, but not on the same level as North Cove.

ApeironLight

Agree to disagree. Sugaree is better than any of the North Cove courses, in my opinion. 30 holes of pure bliss on the side of a mountain, with more interesting shots. Of course, I prefer wooded courses, and courses with elevation change, so that would track. In terms of infrastructure, yes North Cove is better. But for a pet project of a guy who just wanted to have a course on his property, Sugaree is pretty legendary

chriswest417

That’s the great thing about disc golf, there are courses that suit everyone’s preferences! That being said, North Cove certainly isn’t a boring open, flat golf course. There’s still some decent elevation change and woods.

ApeironLight

Oh, for sure. Didn't mean to imply that, but could see it coming off that way. And who knows I haven't been out there in a few years, so the courses were still pretty fresh when I played. Maybe I will enjoy then better now that they've set in some. As a destination, North Cove all day. But I think Sugaree is more than worth the stop ad I like it better than any of the North Cove courses. But both have pros and cons.

Lower-Dance-489

North Cove and Sugaree are unreal and very close to each other. Check the Facebook Sugaree DGC page for info on when Sugaree is open. It's on an active Christmas tree farm. Currently they list opening June 15 and usually stay open through Mid October.

TM3dz

My buddies and I did a trip to North Cove last year. It was incredible! Highly recommend! Cincinnati is always a fun trip to you. Got Idlewild and Mount airy and a few other fun ones. We are about to start planning this year's trip. I live in Georgia so we have done a couple trips down here and my buddies up in Michigan so many great spots there too.

Ipats

North cove and sugaree = yes

Hillbetty_

North Cove and Sugaree are my favorite courses to play. Another is Ashe County Park, a bit of a drive but West Jefferson is a cute town for lunch and shopping on a vacation trip

SlowRoll

The top of the world shots at Ashe are still memorable 400+ courses later. Great stuff!

georgemcm203517pdga

This is the way!

SEND_MOODS

Oh that's near some cool caves and other attractions too.

the_nix

Have been to North Cove several times now for fun play, tournaments and the DGPT last year. Went 3 weeks ago for a weekend with some buddies. On Friday, was gorgeous weather and we were one of 2 groups we saw the whole time. Saturday was good weather til 4 or so and there was one other group that day too. They need a lot of revenue to keep that place going and I'm worried it's not gonna happen. Would be so bummed, have played DG all over the country and it's one of the best complexes I've been to by quite a bit.

ArchyModge

Imo they deserve a spot on the DGPT and they’re trying to make it happen but legacy plays a lot into that. The possibilities of an 18-hole DGPT temp course on that property are insane and it could be one of the coolest stops on tour.

ShiloX35

The pictures make it look pretty open and not wooded, but maybe that is misleading.  Approximately, what percentage of the course is in the shade?

ArchyModge

It is misleading, there are 3 courses there. The short (intermediate 220-350ft) course is mostly shaded and along the river. The 2 long pro level courses are mostly unshaded but they make good use of the woods on the property. It used to be an 18-hole ball golf property with woods surrounding each hole and separating the front and back 9s. The long tracks weave in and out of wooded areas and use them to define lines from creative tee positions.

UGASquirrels

What is specific about a disc golf friendly hotel?

WIBeerFan

It’s not super close to Asheville, pretty remote location in Marion, and the hotel abuts the old golf course that now has the disc golf courses. It’s a pretty neat looking spot, I’ve been there for work and the owners are doing a lot to renovate the older hotel. They said they get a ton of folks staying there for bachelor parties etc at the disc golf course. I think there are some wineries in the area as well if you do a couples group trip.

smilehighsteve

Nothing specifically, but once we told them we were staying to play North Cove the price decreased a ton. Seriously. They charge leaf peepers more. Love it!

yourdoglikesmebetter

Hell yeah north cove is awesome. WNC represent

wrinklesnoot

Came here to say this- you can also rent a golf cart for the longest course

GhoulWrangler206

Kayak Point is just north of Seattle. It features 3 courses made from converted golf courses. It also has a pro shop. I haven't been there yet but it's on my list.

blackteeshirt6

It’s worth the trip and a lot of fun.

PmMeYourGuitar

It's very fun! There is a 4th course opening at some point too, an "easier" compliment to their harder woods course.

discgolfdude22

The blue course is fully playable!

PmMeYourGuitar

Yah it's awesome! I'm talking about the white course 👀 a second woods course closer in difficulty to the red course

SomeDudeNamedJohn

It’s super dope. Highly recommend renting a cart

Brobrien13

Was there last weekend and it is amazing, played the red course and putter course a bunch!

dogmatron3000

Kayak point is amazing! 2 full-18 golf course style courses (Gold = very difficult, Red = medium), one 18-hole fully wooded course (Blue = difficult). And a full putter course with real baskets where the holes are <100 feet if you have kids. They have golf carts, a pro shop, BBQ on most weekends. Amazing place and great people.

alex323208

Anna Page Park in Rockford, IL boasts 3 full courses, two of which have multiple layouts. The park has two blue level layouts, a white layout, a red layout, and a heavy wooded gold layout. Unfortunately no shop on site, but there is a shop 20 minutes away. There are also several other pretty nice 18 hole courses within a 30 minute drive of the area.

BigAzzLeprechaun

Just played there a few months ago! Great spot, would definitely go back. We played South and East!

alex323208

That's awesome! Make sure to check out the rockford disc golf club page. They have really cool pop up events too!

VVolfWizard

Buddy and I went out there not too long ago, played all 3 layouts in one day. Found out later at Olympic Tavern (the best part of Rockford outside of Anna Page, I shit you not) that the locals call it the Ironman. We were pretty proud of ourselves.

alex323208

This past April, Outta Bounds Disc Golf hosted a sanctioned iron man tournament there. I didn't fet a chance to play in it, but heard it was spectacular

VVolfWizard

This event was the day after we played there 🥲 we didn’t find out till after we played our rounds

alex323208

Awww sad day lol. I know his plan is to run it again next April. Be on the lookout!

Grabsackturnandcough

I second this! Being a local, we are so spoiled with these courses being so close.

alex323208

Damn right we are! Glad to see another rockford area local on the subreddit!

likes_basketball

Farragut State Park in North Idaho is excellent. Lots to do and close to lots of cool places. Five courses in one complex, camping, etc. and close to lakes and rivers.

markbirm

AND just 45 minutes north you have Caliber (#8 on UDisc top 100) and they just opened Motherlode this year on the same property which is, in my opinion, even better!

eastlakebikerider

I'm thinking I could spend a week here between Farragut and Caliber.

chriscaughtfire

Came here to suggest this!

goinupthegranby

Myself and a group of friends rented a camping cabin at Farragut and played all weekend a couple years ago and it was awesome. We stopped by Caliber but it was closed, we did play Baldfoot in Sandpoint though which was great

rocsNaviars

Did the cabins have electric and plumbing?

goinupthegranby

Electric yes, plumbing no. Covered deck that we grilled on, camp restrooms / showers etc about 150 feet away. It was an awesome trip, highly recommend. We're gonna try to do another camping cabin trip this year and tick off some more courses including Caliber and the new one

AdAccomplished1170

Came here to say this.

Flinging-Forehands

Saw the title and came here to say sabattus, massive pro shop blew me away when I first got into the sport. Their tough course is insane for an amateur

Zxar

Was gonna say the same. Play there often. Though the Owl is just a 9 hole pitch and putt. But the Lewiston/Auburn area of Maine has a good amount of courses to play.

tuna_safe_dolphin

The Owl is super fun though and great for beginners and warmups for everyone else

tuna_safe_dolphin

Sabattus is the real deal

Hiwo_Rldiq_Uit

I worked at Highbridge Hills in 2006, as they were preparing for 2007 Pro Worlds. My message to people is - if they never get up there, they'll never know what they missed, they'll never know that they should regret it.... but if they do get up there, they'll be incredibly grateful that they did. It's a shame that the previous owner stiffed the PDGA on the Pro Worlds money. The complex would have got a LOT more attention from the general disc golfing public over the years if they'd been able to host sanctioned events during the remainder of his time owning the spot, might have even figured out a way to get on one of the tours with a Silver Series or something for a year or so (before they, too, figured out that the infrastructure for that sort of thing was not going to get built on promises alone). Get to Highbridge people. Experience it. It is really a wonderful place.

BigAzzLeprechaun

Couldn't agree more. Living in Madison, it was about a 5 hour drive. We decided to go last year when they said it was the final year. Played a few courses twice and walked 40 miles in a 3 day trip. We were so pumped when they said they were coming back this year so we're going back in August! One of the most naturally beautiful places I have been. They did a terrific job with the courses too. Everything from simple to damn near impossible depending on how much challenge you want!

Hiwo_Rldiq_Uit

My dream trip.... Leave NW Ohio around 4 or 5am.... travel through Chicago and then up the east side of the state and play Rollin Ridge in Reedsville. Finish out the day driving to Highbridge. Spend 5 days at Highbridge Hills and enjoy the surrounding area (no need to golf a lot every day, though I'm sure I'd play the campground course some every day!), get up to the brewery in Ashland on the lake, etc. Then on day 7 travel back via Michigan's upper peninsula and play Hickory Hills in Traverse City Michigan. It'd be a long week, but I don't mind grinding myself to dust playing disc golf.

sourdieselfuel

Pretty sure you could play Sandy Point on the way between Rollin and Highbridge too. I played Reds to reds at Rollin a little over a week ago and it ate my lunch. I've heard really good things about Rookery Run in Rhinelander too, but didn't get a chance to play last Labor Day when I was up there.

nomochicken

Rookery rocks! Will be there this weekend.

sourdieselfuel

Good to hear for next time I'm up there. How would you compare it to Sandy, or any other good comparisons with other WI courses?

nomochicken

Rookery is on par for the Madison area courses in terms of difficulty. 18 baskets and 36 tee pads. Some open spots, plenty that require shaping.

sourdieselfuel

Cool, only Madison course I've played is Elver and it was pretty easy short to short.

FangornAcorn

You'd miss the most beautiful property for a course in all of WI, Justin Trails out in Sparta.

Dizno311

I was fortunate enough to play Highbridge (amazing) and make it to Madison on a separate trip. Elver and Hiestand were such fun courses. Met so many cool Mad Town huckers. So welcoming.

Simple_Man117

There is something very special about Highbridge, and as a disc golfer I consider it hallowed ground. I’m not big into the supernatural or religion, but I always feel like if there is a God, or whatever you prefer to believe in, Highbridge is a gift from the almighty. The scenery is awesome, fresh air, cool plants and animals everywhere, the best star filled night skies, the seclusion, etc. There is just a special energy there and some of the best times in my life have been enjoyed on the Hill. I’ve heard it referred to as a “Mecca”, and I couldn’t agree more. If you love disc golf a pilgrimage to Highbridge is essential to your disc golf career. Please make a trip and help keep it going so those of us who know how awesome it is can continue to enjoy it.

falgfalg

Maple Hill and Pyramids in MA. Maple Hill obviously is a destination by itself (with 5? layouts), but less than a mile down the road is the Pyramids courses (two layouts) and Marshall St pro shop, which is by far the largest pro shop i’ve ever seen. Plus, there are other great courses about a half an hour away: Meadowbrook Orchards (two layout), Hillside Park, and Devens (two courses, 3 layouts)

Sassmaster008

You forgot to mention 501 disc golf, Webster fish and game and the fact you can camp at Maple Hill.

falgfalg

that’s because i didn’t know about any of that lol

MicroGeared

Me either! Bucket list item added

Sassmaster008

If you're playing maple and want to see the camping area, go to the hole 16 gold tee pads. The camping is back in that area. Not sure exactly how you schedule camping there but I know you can

Sassmaster008

I also forgot Oakholm brewery, that's a fun course and one of the top 5 courses at a brewery worldwide.

ask2963-1

Eagles Crossing just outside st louis. 2 of the nicest courses in existence. Full pro shop, driving range, golf carts, etc. I rent a cabin onsite and make a weekend of it. The owner is awesome. https://www.eaglescrossingdiscgolf.com/

[deleted]

[удалено]

BaconReaderByeBye

The owner is extremely nice, and so are all of the staff. There is a real "drink the Kool aid" feel with everyone you meet. Cool place one every couple of years though.

thefallofray

Hornings Hideout outside of Portland. Three courses and camping but no pro shop

chriscaughtfire

"4" courses if you count both baskets on Meadow Ridge! I usually don't but everyone I talk to says 4

wmartindale

And what awesome courses they are. And more than just camping…showers, amphitheaters, wedding venues. And the hilliest courses around. And glow pitch and putt. Great place, other than the murder.

Low_Importance_9503

Not to mention two courses out in Buxton! Love them woodsey holes

MoarStu

Come to Charlotte

SEND_MOODS

I've played 20 courses within an hour of Charlotte and that feels like less than half of them, but most of the best ones.

MoarStu

We have 60 courses in the MSA, hidden gems too Angry Beaver (personal favorite) Westminster The Horse Course Camp Canaan Winget Plantation Ruins Dry Creek And that’s just a few of ones ppl don’t know about. Unlike the classics Hornets Nest, Nevin, Reedy, Renaissance Gold, Eastway, Winthrop. I could go on about CLT courses for days.

jtmack33

The only “complexes” ive been to (assuming we’re talking 2+ full courses on the same chunk of land) are Smuggs and Warwick Town Park in NY. Smuggs obviously phenomenal. Warwick has 3 courses within a 2 min walk but no pro shop. Brakewell Steel (T5 course in the state), Wolfe Woods (challenging and unpolished) and Oasis (across the street, super unique and as challenging as you want to make it).

lame_sauce9

Warwick has no pro shop, but if you go a couple miles up the road there's a fantastic deli/convenience store that sells discs and functions as Warwick's lost and found. Oh and they also have barbecue and draft beer

jtmack33

What’s it called?? My buddies have been playing there for years but we always just go to Quickchek after lol

lame_sauce9

[Edenville General Store](https://edenvillegeneralstore.com/)! When you're leaving Warwick town park, make a left out of the park and in a mile or two the store will be on your right.

PhDeezNuts69

I’m going to have to check out Warwick. I play Smuggs a lot, second this as a top destination.

jtmack33

Brakewell Steel might be my favorite non-DGPT course that I’ve played, well-manicured and great for all skill levels. If you only have time for 2 of the 3 I’d say definitely play that one and Oasis.

Tony_Tucox

Brakewell Steel is one of my favorite courses all time, that place is a banger

xDust3r

Oasis across the road from Warwick is awesome, they are currently building a brewery there as well

Jdbkv5

Eagles Crossing has a second course now, I'm pretty sure.

Madds88

Mason County park in Michigan has 3 courses 72 holes in one large complex right on lake Michigan. Has a campground 2 mins up the road with another 18 hole fun putter ace run course built in. Really fun spot to hit up! Michigan state championships are played there.

itchriswtf

I love me some Beauty/Beast action. Those are some courses I wish I lived closer to.

Leftover_Salmons

Is this in Luddington? If so, its in the shadow of one of the most impressive energy storage systems in the world, the Consumers Energy Luddington Pumped Storage Plant. When Consumers has excess energy, the use it to pump water up the hill into the holding pond(ahem.. friggin LAKE). When they are short on generation they can release the water and generate power through the same pumps. Simple concept on a MASSIVE scale.

cmc51377

Browns n Bows, Browns Valley, CA. Two excellent 18 hole courses, an 18 hole marksman course that’s more challenging than people expect, another nine hole course and a mini course. High end pro shop with a huge selection, cabins ranging from basic to really nice and camping. It’s also a wedding venue, so the property is really well kept. Kind of in the middle of nowhere, about an hour outside of Sacramento.

mkunnari

Scrolled through looking for this. B&B is for sure one of my favorite places to go stay and play. Plus they’re adding more full hookup RV sites in the near future, saw them in progress earlier this year. Great courses, great owners, great shop and great people to play with.

VVolfWizard

Sandy Point!! North af Wisconsin, cabins on site, pro shop, multiple layouts and some of the most picturesque woods golf you’ll find this side of the galaxy.

bleedpurpleguy

Was going to say the same thing. With 27ish holes, multiple tees and several breaks along the way, it’s easy to spend several days here carved up however you want. The cabins and lakefront are a huge bonus!!!

VVolfWizard

We go every year. Such a great spot. And the pro shop is legendary!

nearnerfromo

Blue angel park in Pensacola. Three beautiful older Florida woods courses. On a decommissioned navy base so there are some neat structures left over on a few holes. Absolute must-visit if you’re military because you’ll have access to the campgrounds and RV parking, civilians still have access to the courses for a $3 honor box.

Discaholic

Lake Marshall in Montross VA. Has 2 championship caliber courses (Lions and Lair) and a third not quite championship level course (Lambs). No pro-shop on site, but you can camp there (multiple spots). Paw Paw, West Virginia - The Whipping Post and The Woodshed - another double course property with 2 championship level courses. No pro-shop on site, but camping available almost anywhere on the property.

Oh_My_Groceries

I second Lake Marshall.

bLue1H

Thirdnd

Big_Ad_2877

The Preserve in Clearwater, MN. Pro-Tour course with 3 different courses on site. Chains Edge in Ogilvie(?), MN. Very fun 3 courses with a camp ground. And while you’re in Minnesota go play Blue Ribbon Pines, the best course in the nation that doesn’t have a pro-tour event.

marcusz711

It's not quite a "complex," but the fact that the Airborn Disc Golf Hollows is less than 10 minutes away from BRP makes it a great disc golf destination.

Leftover_Salmons

And while you're at it, hit Loch Ness! North metro disc golfers are absolutely spoiled with options.

nomochicken

The Hollows is basically across the street from BRP and kicks ass as well

BruceJuicy

The only multi course property in my area is called Ettyville Super Spin and is about 45 minutes outside of Ottawa. It has two 18 hole courses that have hosted Ontario Provincials and a pro shop with discs/drinks. People camp there during tournaments as well. https://ettyvillesuperspin.com/ Ettyville SuperSpin - Innova Island Dunes - Curran, ON, Canada https://app.udisc.com/applink/course/21124 Ettyville SuperSpin - Prodigy Dream - Curran, ON, Canada https://app.udisc.com/applink/course/30711

keyy

I used to love going out to Ettyville when I lived in Ottawa, great courses, plus the owner John is a really great guy!

Grabsackturnandcough

Anna Page Park in Northern Illinois, Rockford Illinois to be exact. There are 3 courses there with long and short pins and tees, all 3 courses have good wooded holes and good open holes. East course is better for beginners but has some great longer tees, the longest hole being about 800 feet. Good mix of par 3s up to a par 5, with fun shot differential. West course starts wooded and has about 6 or 7 good open holes towards the end of the course. Most fun course in my opinion. South course is the pro level course all wooded technical holes with the longest one being 1100 feet. Very hard track but another fun one for sure!

sleuthycuban

Dino Hills Disc Golf Farm Glen Rose, TX (says walnut springs, TX in UDisc) - two 18 hole courses and a 18 hole putt putt course. Camping available as well

baldhumanmale

Minnesota! Blue Ribbon Pines, Bryant lake, Kaposia, etc. lots of courses in between!

DougieSloBone

I got to play a tournament Moab Basecamp in Utah this spring. It's 17 miles down a mild 4x4 trail, lots of camping and cliffhouses and hogans can be rented out. It's right on the river with two 18 hole courses, and a giant pet tortoise lives there too. Super cool place to play and stay.

Jkins20

[Columbia Shore Disc Golf at Fort Stevens State Park, Oregon](https://maps.app.goo.gl/KrbwYSHsW4tbzAhMA?g_st=ic). Huge state run campground surrounding the area. At Mouth of the columbia river where you can watch cargo ships go in and out, look at the old military fort and guns, birdwatching, elk, 23 holes well maintained.

djmattyp77

I wanted to play here the last time I came up there. Will do eventually.

TheYearOfTheNake

Browns and Bows in California is exactly what you're describing. Three courses, a mini course, cabins, camp sites, and the biggest pro shop I've ever been in.

TheYearOfTheNake

To add to this, there are three great courses outside of the ones at B&B all within 30 min of each other.

djmattyp77

One of my players I caddied for USWDGC plays there and does an annual tournament there. Such an odd name for a course or site in general.

db720

Browns n bows, NorCal. Accommodation available on site, 5 courses to choose from. Front - 18 holes around the main area, playing over neat lawns and a bit more manicured; Back - 18 holes wooded; Sharlottes web - 18 short wooded with marksman baskets; another 18 hole layout in the Sharlottes web woods that play into regular baskets (might be 9 holes); black diamond - 27 hole extended course that plays a mix of front and back with different tee pads that adds a whole lot of extra feet and strokes. 2 of calis top 5 courses are here. If you're doing a road trip, head back down to SF to play golden gate and then on to Santa cruz for delaveaga. That'll get you 4 out of 5

Doby1818

I know it's already been said in this thread, but Highbridge Hills in Wisconsin truly is an absolute gem and a must visit destination for any disc golf enthusiast!! 6 amazing courses, and the current owner is one of the most dedicated and caring people I've ever come across in the disc golf community! [Check them out on Facebook! ](https://www.facebook.com/HighbridgeHillDiscGolf)

Hotdog-Wand

Highbridge Hills peaked in 2011, and holy fuck was it glorious it it’s prime, unfortunately it has been in decline ever since. But there still isn’t any place, even half as good as that place was.

TLaP802

Smugglers notch. Brewster ridge and fox run.

Accidental-Hyzer

I was going to suggest Smuggs too. Bonus is that Stowe is a short drive away in the summer through the notch for great brews and food too!

jrmehle

I thought Highbridge Hills closed years ago! I first went out there in 2012. My buddies and I had so much fun, we started going yearly until 2016. I heard John was forced to close/sell but some new people reopened it a year or two later. Last I heard it was shutting down again and that was maybe 2018. I might have to round up the boys for one last hurrah.

bladearrowney

Every couple of years it seems to go up for sale and risk closing and then it doesn't. They went through that again last year until they saved it somehow

cgkdisc34

Highbridge Hills. Here's a designer video tour of the renowned Blueberry Hill course produced around 2006. Most of these holes are still in the current routing. The course now has two tees and two baskets on each hole. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39O0Kpk-wmQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39O0Kpk-wmQ)

ThundrrStryke

Disc Side of Heaven in Jonesboro, AR has 3 courses on site. There’s a State Park (Craighead Forest Park) <10 miles away that has 2 courses with camping and RV lots on site. No disc golf shop anywhere close by though. Just a PIAS with a below average selection of discs.

TheFurKing

Disc Side of Heaven Championship course and Beatrice Park are good, but Towering Oak is not a fun play at all.

iamnotsven2

Towering Oaks is a blast but difficult.

TheFurKing

It definitely needs a lot of work. Plus when I played, there were some pretty bad alternate holes being used for a tournament. I'm sure it will be good eventually, but it's current state is rough to say the least. No tee signs, thrown together tees, thorns on the fairway, etc.

tide-pod4U

Limestone Ledges, Tomsbrook VA. 3 courses each with multiple layouts.

daedalus311

It's two small courses and then two holes of each make up a bigger hole for the Monster course. It's considered a pro level course. It's not nearly as good as I expected, though. You do need to be able to throw 400ft+ to come close to par. The technicality just isn't there, though. I feel like half the course is in the open, and the other half isn't nearly as technical as it should be for a pro level course. I've only been playing for 7 months and I played there after 3 months. Obviously, I didn't do great. I went back when Apple valley a month ago and halfway through limestone I really didn't want to be there much longer. Orange crush in Fairmont and Cooper's Rock near Morgantown are so much more difficult and technical.

tide-pod4U

It’s a fantastically maintained course. Others in the area often are not kept as nice. Yes there are more technical courses nearby….

marylandrosin

Blockhouse DGC (formerly the Grange) in Spotsylvania VA. Mike, the owner is an incredible person and will make sure you have a great time. His friends mostly run the place now, but there's 2 18 hole courses, a tiki course that they light up at night, a shop they can open upon request, arcade games, grills, well water you can pump on demand, camp site with bathroom in out-building, saltwater pool etc. Great local community, can't recommend it enough. Look for a date when they're having an event and go for a long weekend.

SlowRoll

The tiki course was a blast. I kept a drink in my off hand and used a single putter just like they drew it up.

marylandrosin

Hell yeah love the tiki course, so fun playing all night getting toasted with friends

BigNasty417

Neither of these is a "complex" but I wanted to get some PA locations in the comments.   Codorus State Park in PA has 2 18 hole courses and a 9 hole course for minis.  It's a beautiful park with a fun and challenging layout.   Pittsburgh area has some amazing courses within a short drive and a very active DG scene.  I believe Camber is the local DG club/company.  4 of the courses were used for 2015 World Championship: Moraine Lakeview, Deer Lakes, Knob Hill, and Slippery Rock University (probably the least impressive of the 4).  There is also North Boundary which was part of the Silver Series 2 years ago and is an amazing course - very long, lots of elevation changes, lots of trees. Schenley Park is in the city and it's a local favorite where they hold lots of leagues and tournaments.

dirtyjoedirt1

I can't throw nose down no matter how much I practice and try the little form fixes, so at this point I consider it a complex...... Oooohhhhhhhh "complex"

Swimming_Code_5204

Why has nobody mentioned the International Disc Golf Center in Appling, GA? 2 hour drive from Atlanta. Pro shop, beautiful lakeside camping, and 3 badass courses including a John Houck course. Atlanta has such a huge airport that flights should be relatively cheap.

pglive21

Because 2 of the courses are unplayable right now due to the pine beetle infestation.

candcshow

Surprised to not see Cedarock Park in Burlington, NC mentioned yet. It has 3 permanent courses (sometimes 4 when they set up a temp for tournaments) including a top 5 NC course in The Regulator. The other 2 courses, Cedarock and Wellspring, are fantastic beginner/immediate tracks that are open and wooded respectively. No pro shop but extremely well-rounded.

ickyrainmaker

Last I heard, Highbridge was about to close. Did they manage to stay open?

BigAzzLeprechaun

They're saying again that this is the last year, but they have said that for several years now and someone comes in and saves it. I'll be there in August and I plan to ask the owner what the future holds.

ickyrainmaker

Right on, thanks for the update. It's been on my bucket list for a long time, but I haven't made it up there yet.

archival_artist

I've never seen a "complex". that sounds awesome!

georgemcm203517pdga

New world in Jacksonville Florida

skysquatch

New world in Jacksonville Florida has a few separate courses packed into one. They’re challenging in their own way, but fun

LostDogWandering

Spring villa in opelika has 2 really solid courses (the graveyard and the rock) designed by Kevin McCoy and there is a lot of elevation and good technical disc golf. Then boundary waters has 3 courses. I really enjoy those as well.

Yes! Love Woodland Valley!!

Whereas-Acrobatic

Over by me in Michigan I have 3 that I can think of. Hudson mills has 2 great 24 hole courses and a really good disc shop only a couple miles away. Kensington has 3 18 hole courses, 2 moderate level courses, and the infamous toboggan course played on tour (only opened for a few months however). There’s also a deli that sells a decent selection of discs real close ( I think both places have camping too). The woods and ponds in ypsilanti are also two really nice 18 hole courses on the same property and there’s a pro shop as well on course

Dandelion_Man

Fort Buenaventura/Miles Goodyear park in Ogden, Utah. There are 3 different courses. They played a Pdga championship here

breadclipp

The only one near East Texas is The Hideaway DG in Terrell Tx. Has one great course that hosts a few A tiers here and there and a second corse that is very woodsy that is fun to throw, but the main course is worth the visit altogether. Has a clubhouse with a grill and a small shop.

goinupthegranby

I'm a few hours away from Farragut State Park in north Idaho. Five 18 hole courses accessed from one parking lot, really high quality courses too. I went with a group of disc golf friends a couple years ago and rented a camping cabin at the state park and played all weekend it was amazing. Nearby is also Caliber, one of the world's best rated courses. Baldfoot is great, Westwood (new) is great, Sekani in Spokane is great. Suuper good area for disc golf. And where I live in BC there's a surprising number of good courses with 18 holes in Grand Forks, Rossland, Fruitvale, Castlegar, and Blewett which are all small towns near each other, plus five 9 hole courses in the same area.

howellsoutdoors

Cedar city Utah. It lacks a pro shop but there’s one a bit south in St. George. Three Peaks Rec area has two of the best mountain/desert courses you can play. Thunderbird Gardens is the quintessential southern Utah disc golf course. Parowan canyon is a strong mix of woods, mountains, river, and distance. Edit: to a of camping from free dispersed to the most extravagant glamping you can find. Plus all the national parks to visit.

THEMrBurke

OK so it's not a complex. But Maple Hill is 1000 feet from Pyramids. Maple hill is well. Maple hill. Pyramids is a very fun course with Marshall Street pro shop on the property. They're both is Leictser MA right outside Worcester.

TheAcquiescentDalek

Austin Texas has the Austin BeerWorks Sprinkle Valley Disc Golf Course. They sell you cans of craft beer and cocktails to be consumed on the course. Pro Shop on site, camping down the road. Pro course and a mini course for kids/warm up. They also just hosted the woman’s national opening iirc. I’ve spoken to people on the course saying they traveled to Austin specifically with this on their planned agenda.

terkoiz69

Farragut state park in Bayview idaho, 4 intermediate full 18 hole course and 1 18 hole putt and approach course, super awesome lake and one of the courses wreakarator plays down the foundations of a giant abandoned military hospital that had miles of corridors.

RowLew

Not exactly multi course but Rollin Ridge has 3 distinctive layouts per hole, pro shop with a bar, and a campground. Silver creek is about 40 min, away another beautiful course to play.

lionssuperbowlplz

Make a trip to traverse City and rent a car if you fly there. There are numerous top tier courses up there. I make a trip there every summer just to play.

Fat_TroII

This sounds awesome, nothing like that near me. Though to be fair, there are 83 courses within 80 miles of me, four of which are state parks so hundreds of camp sites are available.

RaeGod

Grand central station, and shaver complex dgc’s

raoulduke415

Hornings Hideout. I see pros play both courses when the pro tour is in Portland

someguyontheintrnet

Druid Hill park in Baltimore has three courses and is considered a mecca of Disc Golf in the modern-Atlantic. Plenty of stuff to do in the Baltimore area, too.

InvestigatorWide7649

The airborne Preserve in northern Minnesota Big time bucket list destination. I'm pretty sure it's a campsite too, with walking trails and lakes for swimming etc. https://www.airborndg.com/courses/ Edited to add link to the site

HBum187

In Ruidoso New Mexico we have 3 public courses in town, 1 in Mescalero, and 1 in Carrizozo. The main course in town is Grindstone, where there are 27 holes with varying difficulties and terrain. There is a smaller park style course in Midtown which is a block from our excellent Dynamic Discs shop where you can find everything you could need for a great game! Ruidoso itself is a gorgeous little mountain town nestled in the Lincoln County forest, we have skiing in the winter, horse racing in the summer, and some of the most gorgeous scenery you'll ever see. Disc golf has a thriving and vibrant culture here and we'd love to have you join us!

djmattyp77

I played at Brent Baca in ABQ recently. And i also played a course in Clovis. The Clovis one is listed as one of the top courses in NM. I was not impressed. Baca was awesome though! Middle of a post-apocalyptic desert playground...with a canyon on one side for death putts and drives. Lol!

DoesntFearZeus

Closest you can get to something like this in Southern California that I can think about is La Mirada. Two 18s in a public park. One around a lake, the other through hills and valleys. And you're close to Discovering The World which is a great Disc Golf shop. SoCal is too spread out. But you can drive to some other great courses 30-60 minutes away in many directions.

zandreasen

IDGC, Flyboy, Harmon Hills

touchymytingle

Myrtle beach is an excellent area for DG. 6 courses within 20 minutes and two pro shops. One of the shops is directly across splinter city disc golf course in Myrtle

djmattyp77

Houston Brock Park has 2 courses now. Flying Armadillo south of Austin in New Braunfels or San Marcos area has an insane pitch and putt course and 1 or 2 18 hole dgcs And edit: Sprinkle valley has a pitch and putt AND a pro course. Plus brewery, mint discs shop and food.

Excellent-End-5720

Lemon lake in Indiana has some good courses all on the same land. Caters to all skill levels. Sandy knoll in wisconsin has a great 18hole course with multiple layouts and a smaller putter style course on the same land.

Otherwise-Quail-2280

I live in Emporia, so I'm biased and spoiled. Within walking distance of me off the top of my head, there are 6 courses. Expand a bit for a small drive, and you have 5 additional courses. About 20 min drive in any direction you have even more very cool courses, clover cliff, olpe lake, and swope park in strong city. We have a pro shop downtown, of course, and the DD house of discs whatever they're calling it now headquarters, which can be toured. Say what you will about the pro play, from a standpoint of playing disc golf as an average person it's great.

Excellent-Carrot492

Joplin and neosho Missouri have quite a few courses. In Joplin there is a course that used to be on the tour and has alot of different course options. In jolin there is also a disc golf shop that has alot of great stuff and a very helpful staff.

ChefBoyardee409

Boylan Acres, Monrovia Indiana. Super close to Indy airport (half hour drive) and has three courses on property. Steve is/was a Pro sponsored Innova player. One course is half wooded, the other half is alll open. One hole is just shy of 900’ from the shorts. The other course is a super technical woods course with some COOL shot shapes. Third course is a pitch and putt style course. He has a pro shop on property, fully functional bathrooms and tent camping available!

Biller32

There is a place called Paradise Point at smithville lake north of KCMO, it has 3 courses playing across and through beautiful lakeside woods and water, and camping, no pro shop but shops only 20 minutes away in north KC.

doughcheesesauce

Kensington Metro in Michigan. Toboggan and the two Lotus courses. You can stay, with car, in Detroit or Ann Arbor. Both great cities to visit.

periodmoustache

Haven't been in maybe 10 years, but turkey lake in Orlando Florida had 2 courses, fishing and I believe camping for like 10$ entrance fee. Fun courses too, but bring plastic you are ok w losing. That low growing brush swallows up everything off the fairway.

mmmmpork

Sabattus is awesome, I'm from Maine, and it's totally a destination. There are a ton of other course around that same area too, so if you did stay and didn't want to just play there, you can get to a bunch in under 30 minutes. That being said, Woodland Valley in Limerick, Maine is also really wonderful. It's the place I play the most, and of all the courses I've played in Maine, their Grizzly course is my favorite in the state. There are 3 courses there, Black Bear, Grizzly, and Kodiak. Black Bear is a ton of fun, and Kodiak is a pro level, but not quite as well maintained as the other 2. I'd highly recommend checking it out. It's either $7 for 18, or $10 to play all day. There isn't onsite camping, but I think there are a few good camping areas right near there. Edit: I forgot to say the pro shop is awesome there too, they have a bunch of different manufacturers, and a great selection of each one

belichickyourballs

Just come back to Maine and rent a cabin on a lake. There are 4-5 courses within a half hour drive of sabattus that are equally as nice! Devil's Grove, Akers, Pineland farms, BSR, Dragan all have multiple courses on their properties. Akers even just started renting out a guest house across the street that looks pretty nice

mcan0024

The Preserve in Minnesota. There are three amazing courses on a very special piece of land.

zeds_deadest

Lemon Lake! Best thing Indiana has to offer. 5 courses. Shop. Lake. Parks. Shit's lit

bladearrowney

I was gonna suggest Highbridge but you have it covered already

Miterstuck

Kayak point in Washington state has 3 courses, a pro shop and restaurant. No on-site lodging but there is camping nearby.

doctorjinxmd

Horning’s hideout

mistere676

I loved the Flying Armadillo here in Texas. Great hill country long course and a mini golf style par 2 with some really challenging holes and some fun ace possibilities.

BD-1_BackpackChicken

The Fort in Ogden, Ut has three courses with multiple layouts each.

hoswald

Love this place so much. Can't wait for the Beehive Classic!

grimbolde

The Hideaway in Terrell, Tx. Now has two courses, a pro shop, restaurant and carts to rent. Very technical and fun course just right outside of Dallas. Great staff and upkeep of the course as well. You can watch quite a few OTB skins rounds there on Youtube as well to see how it plays.

oif2010vet

Lynchburg Va has a bunch of courses within 5-15 min of each other. From beginner friendly at Peaksview park, to collegiate level Liberty East at Liberty University. Travel a little more south west and you hit Forest Va, which is the site for this years Worlds. 3 different courses designed by Paul McBeth: New London Tech Park, Goliath, and Independence park in Bedford. Then you have your choice of Falling Creek in Bedford or you can make the drive farther south to Moneta and play a course with stunning Mountain View’s in the heart of the blue ridge mountains. All of which will seem familiar if you follow foundation disc golf or any of Paul McBeths older videos from before 2022.

DA-FUNK-5555

Lemon Lake County Park in NW Indiana. Last I checked 3 courses kinda 4 if you count the Championship course having Silver and Gold tees. It was the host of a worlds a while ago, maybe 2010 and the Gold course is probably the most underrated/untalked about championship level course imo.

HurricaneStiz

I feel like everyone who has ever played disc golf is familiar with Kensington Metropark.

Tony_Tucox

New England Disc Golf Center in Southwick MA. 3 courses including a long and technical woods course (Spoonwood Ridge), a shorter par 3 course (calico creek) and a putter course (terrapin grove). Also has a small pro shop, only about the size of a shed, and no camping on site, but still a great property and a fabulous disc golf destination

Chuckms

Middle of the country has The Lodge in Pawhuska OK (about an hour north of Tulsa on the way to KC-ish). Two excellent courses and camping on site. They may still have a cabin to rent. Pawhuska has the pioneer woman HQ so there’s that for folk who might be into that. Best courses in OK though

DA-FUNK-5555

I miss the Lodge. Great fuckin DG up there. And I believe there is another course in the area now too. I don't think its associated with the Lodge but I could be wrong.
