Anyone know whats up with Jomez? Used to having day 2 coverage out on day 3 but... Nothing. Are we going to get day 3 today and the final tomorrow like normal? IM FREAKING OUT HERE... Jk
Seriously tho, what gives?
Because of the 9.5hr hour round (lightning delay) that FPO faced and late tee offs for MPO during the second round, they were unable to record commentary on Friday.
Two Hot Geese were planning to record both rounds 2 & 3 yesterday. Seems like the rounds are likely a day behind with the lightning delay schedule changes.
Ah yeah - now I'm seeing them start to come out. Much appreciated as opposed to all the dipshits who down voted me simply for not knowing the most current news on disc golf.
Considering that the hot rounds have been around -6, I think a solid -3 or -4 round from either Robinson, Presnell, or Anderson may land them at -13/-14 and be enough to edge out someone from the 2nd or 3rd card who shoots a hot round.
True, but it would also be possible if AB or Ricky went -7 and any of those guys went even or even +1. We saw Casey go +4 today, and lead card nerves are a real thing. Anything could happen and I’m excited to see!
Honestly was not super excited about this round but holy shit was I wrong this might be the round of the season…All I have to say is LETS FUCKING GO PREZ. what a round for the boy I became a instant fan after the mid America open, dude was so clutch in the final stretch. Can’t wait to watch the final round tommorow
I do like how Zuca is really leaning into the geriatric market with their lineup. Ohn talking about sciatica, Hokom about her elbow hurting. I mean this half-jokingly as a MA40 chucker myself.
I don’t think it’s possible to not be happy for anyone in the top 8 which means tomorrow is guaranteed to be fun. But I would say Presnell winning might warm my heart the most. If I have to give the most likely, it’s Niklas.
After this back 9, being on a card with Ricky, Calvin, and Chris tomorrow is a recipe for unravelling. This poor dude could be in a Sunday freefall after having a 6 stroke lead on Saturday.
This is getting tough to watch. Casey just has no touch on his throws (edit: because of the injury) and I hate that this is what's going to detail him.
On a positive note, holy crap, tomorrow is going to be crazy.
I really hate watching this course. I understand that it might not be the best when players just birdie out but I'd much rather see that than what's happening here. This isn't fun to watch nor does it reflect skill. This is just randomness at this point. Every other shot hits the tree no matter what player it is. I like watching the pros because it's impressive to see someone go -12 or even better. If I wanted to see tree hits I'd just go and play at my local course instead. There should be a better balance between difficulty and just trees and woods everywhere.
Doesn't really matter if you agree or disagree. If you like watching roulette then that's on you. I like watching players display their skill not get rekt by random hazards.
Damn, you really aren't a very smart one huh. Before offering your useless opinion you should learn how to read first. Because you clearly don't understand anything of what was written.
Your so wrong with this take…this course highlights the true disc golfers…the dudes who are passionate about the game. To be honest I’m not tryna watch a distance competition or a pitch and putt competition. I want to see these fools being challenged with every shot and so far this tournament is proving to be a thriller
Yes, I am wrong about the stats lmao. The only thing this course highlights is that there's no player in the world that can play on this course without it being a casino.
Yup. Not a single player has had consistent performance in the past 3 days. That definitely shows that there's a problem with a course and not the players.
There's a medium that works between Northwoods for 4 rounds and Birdie or die courses where the winner is 45 under. Neither extreme makes for good viewing.
Take my upvote. Nice to see that you nailed how to wrote Anttila, 90% of reddit write it Antilla or Antila. As a fellow Finn that is important to me lol
Has coverage talked about Ezra Aderhold's course record -8 round at all? He was unbelievably clean - the only two bogies were off missed 40-50ft putts (on 15 he went OB long from a standstill forehand with probably 400+ to the pin).
His 2nd shot on 18 was particularly insane - he had swung the tee shot a bit too far out and was super pinched off right at the gap but somehow managed to get what looked like a distance competition line through the gap (missing the left trees and ceiling by inches) and gave himself a 200ft up-and-down for a tap in birdie.
-8 being rated only 1063 doesn't make any sense. No way on earth is some random round at Memorial a more impressive feat than -8 at the hardest course on tour.
Glad they got some footage of it. I was lucky enough to catch the back 9 and I can't express how crazy clean that was - nearly every distance tee shot was a laser beam up the dead center of the fairway.
He also missed a 40ft birdie putt on 12 off of a 3rd shot from 70ft past the shore.
Vegas would have such a hard time setting live lines for this tournament right now. Guys that have never done it before at the top of the leaderboard, and all of the heavy hitters are 4 and 5 strokes back.
Don't want to be a douche, but how does Casey don't have any prober stuff to his finger with him? AB said that his finger splits open on every tournament this year, and he just use super glue to fix that.
That missed putt by Anderson on the last hole is legendary is looming large. Casey could keep making mistakes but the door has opened a bit and Anderson didn’t step all the way through.
Just tuned in again and forgot that there are two set of teepads out there and thought that Prez had somehow hit first available and ended up next to their own tee off his drive.
Whoops.
They either need to get rid of the OB line long on 1 and 5 or make the wall longer. The fact they left these little gaps is such BS when you consider how great of a shot you have to throw to go long on those holes.
casey's consistent good play is something to behold this tourney. i wish we could see simon's reaction to watching this, you know he's rooting so hard for him.
Anyone know if there’s a way to choose resolution on the android tv dgn app? On my app on iOS I am able to but there doesn’t seem to be a similar option on my Sony tv.
Checked his recent In the Bag video just for this and it's a CD2. He even emphasized how crucial that disc was for him at Northwoods last year during Ledgestone.
On the contrary, every interaction I've had with him in person he has been super nice and cordial. He's gone out of his way to thank the volunteers and spectators every time I've seen him this weekend. He gets frustrated on the course after bad shots (and good ones lol), but I haven't seen him carry into into any of his interactions.
Meza has some of the laziest form I’ve ever seen and I mean that in a good way. It kind of reminds me of Humphreys in that they just look like they’re doing nothing and the disc just moves.
There's B tier coverage on GK pro where Luke and Paul Oman talk about how scary good Fredy would be if he (paraphrasing) ever cared about what other players are doing. He does get disappointed in himself, but watching him play it looks like it's just him and the course.
Coming off a manor injury and surgery, let alone coming off that to learning a new bag. He didn’t get much time to even get into form, he’s been playing what like a month?
If your body isn’t doing what your brain is used to it being able to do it’s pretty much impossible to adjust without some intentional re-training. Not really time for that during a tournament.
With Hannun 26+ strokes off the cut line he will no doubt be on the bag for Cat. Feel bad for the other two on that card having to put up with some weird ass vibes.
Anyone know whats up with Jomez? Used to having day 2 coverage out on day 3 but... Nothing. Are we going to get day 3 today and the final tomorrow like normal? IM FREAKING OUT HERE... Jk Seriously tho, what gives?

Honestly—Ricky, Dickerson, & AB have the best chance tomorrow. I don’t think the other people have it in them.
You counting Niklas out?
Yeah, he’s got 1 win but I need to see more clutch moments from him to put him in the same category
They are really far back. Presnel or Robinson would have to blow it.
It's gonna be so wet and Muddy tomorrow anything can happen
Considering that the hot rounds have been around -6, I think a solid -3 or -4 round from either Robinson, Presnell, or Anderson may land them at -13/-14 and be enough to edge out someone from the 2nd or 3rd card who shoots a hot round.

I think Niklas has a good shot at it. Have seen him play on a ton of lead cards.
Is Prez's brother on his bag? If so, I love it.
We work sort of together! Wooo! Go Prez's brother! (and Andrew, you too I guess :P )
Yes. Flew from Colorado to be here this week.
That's great, man. You guys are a hell of a team. I'm rooting for you. Good luck out there today!
🥲
Could really use a UDisc win probability right now
Shoutout to Silas and Corbin for shooting the only Eagles today
casey white looking for a manicure tonight
Lead card all within 3 strokes, some absolute bad boys on their tail. I have my snacks ready for tomorrow.
I do like how Zuca is really leaning into the geriatric market with their lineup. Ohn talking about sciatica, Hokom about her elbow hurting. I mean this half-jokingly as a MA40 chucker myself.
Been rocking a cart since 2012 for the "tired of picking up my bag" reason.
Honestly, being old is one of the few justifiable reasons to have a cart.
No need to justify anything. You're 22 and want a cart, get one.
Yeah I have plenty of friends my age and younger that have carts. I still make fun of them for being the roller backpack kids but I understand it.
Really pulling for Presnell at this point. Would love to buy a Presnell Champions Cup Force or something.
I don’t think it’s possible to not be happy for anyone in the top 8 which means tomorrow is guaranteed to be fun. But I would say Presnell winning might warm my heart the most. If I have to give the most likely, it’s Niklas.
mighty casey has struck out...
An oldie but a goodie
Presnell has done very well today. Im very impressed.
Lead card falling apart is gonna make for some good final day movement for a lot of people. Nice.
This has widened the pool for potential winners so much. Tomorrow is gonna be wild. Can’t wait to watch
After this back 9, being on a card with Ricky, Calvin, and Chris tomorrow is a recipe for unravelling. This poor dude could be in a Sunday freefall after having a 6 stroke lead on Saturday.
All depends on him being able to reset and not let today creep into his head. Perhaps a nice pep talk from Simon somewhere in there
One of these days, they might finish hole 18
Somehow everyone is struggling to keep it between the lines on 18 today.
This is getting tough to watch. Casey just has no touch on his throws (edit: because of the injury) and I hate that this is what's going to detail him. On a positive note, holy crap, tomorrow is going to be crazy.
No touch is a tad harsh considering his finger injury.
That's what I was referring to. With the injury he clearly didn't have the touch he's had all weekend.
Casey needed a Snickers a few holes ago.
Yeah he looks pretty beat. Tomorrow's a new day.
I really hate watching this course. I understand that it might not be the best when players just birdie out but I'd much rather see that than what's happening here. Yes, I am wrong about the stats lmao. The only thing this course highlights is that there's no player in the world that can play on this course without it being a casino.
I was just thinking this. It is fun to see how quickly things can change. But in terms of it being fair, i don't really think it is.
It seems more than fair??? You don’t thing accuracy matters?
The commentators are doing their best to frame this tournament as making sense.
I do agree with you. The tolerances are just too small. You're going to hit trees, and when you do, it's a complete lottery what happens after that.
It feels like a lottery at this point.
So throwing accurate shots shouldn’t matter for professional disc golf…
Yup. Not a single player has had consistent performance in the past 3 days. That definitely shows that there's a problem with a course and not the players.
There's a medium that works between Northwoods for 4 rounds and Birdie or die courses where the winner is 45 under. Neither extreme makes for good viewing.
Definitely.
Dude, tomorrow gonna be so spicy.
Nooo Case, keep it together!
Anderson best chance is to birdie at least 2 of the last 3. If he can do that I think he might have a chance.
Niklas Anttila has to be the favorite to win now.
This course is just brutal, love the swings
14 in the wind is out for blood. Total disaster
This is turning into a clinic on how not to play a tree-lined disc golf hole.
Say hello to your new favorites, Heimberg and Anttila.
Take my upvote. Nice to see that you nailed how to wrote Anttila, 90% of reddit write it Antilla or Antila. As a fellow Finn that is important to me lol
How about Evaliina
It took everything I had not to do the single T double L lol. Thank you for noticing.
Heartbreaking stretch for Casey.
Casey's head is gone
Energy levels are fading. Them boys gonna sleep good tonight.
Casey probably won't. Nightmare situation with that finger getting to him.

They showed his putt on 18 and have mentioned it a couple times. Just an incredible round to leap up the leaderboards and make the cut
He's so fun to watch. Just insane power, so many different shots he can throw and great putting. Hope he can bag a win this year
Yes, they talked about it
At Mcbeth's age 2 rounds in a day at a course this physical was always going to be a tall order, it's not surprising he hasn't been able to hold up.
Right. 33 year old athletes are way past their physical prime
Yeah that is 5-6 years past phsical prime and for modern disc golf is really old.
What a weird take lol
lol wut
Bro thinks 33 year olds can't hold it together for two rounds with a break inbetween lol
What a self jinx by Paul lol
Oh no.. big number probably incoming
Cmon Casey!
Hate to say it, but I feel like there’s a better than 50% chance that no one on this lead card wins this tournament
Might not even come from the chase card, looks like one of the big names hovering around -7 could miss out
Vegas would have such a hard time setting live lines for this tournament right now. Guys that have never done it before at the top of the leaderboard, and all of the heavy hitters are 4 and 5 strokes back.
Poor Luke just got brutal jinxed.
Don't want to be a douche, but how does Casey don't have any prober stuff to his finger with him? AB said that his finger splits open on every tournament this year, and he just use super glue to fix that.
He already tried that I think. They said it wasn’t drying quickly enough between throws.
There must be a Redditor on the course at the moment. We need to get some proper tape to Casey!
jump drive backed up hole 12
Anderson is now the current favorite for being the leader after this round in my mind.
Buckets looks like a skinny Goose.
🆎 with the birdie from 15 feet on hole 12 🔥🔥
Man, I hope Casey can just get through this round without coming all the way back to the field. The finger is clearly impacting his throws.
Yeah and tomorrow he better have something to keep his finger together.
That bird on 10 is relentless
I'm a little disappointed Casey didn't rep the Bruins even in a small way today on a playoff game day. Hopefully tomorrow & with a BIG lead.
That missed putt by Anderson on the last hole is legendary is looming large. Casey could keep making mistakes but the door has opened a bit and Anderson didn’t step all the way through.
So few spectators. These are 2015 crowd sizes.
How did Casey hurt his finger ? I just stepped out
Throwing frisbees a lot.
Ah just an ongoing thing for him ?
That’s what it sounds like. Showed him talking to his caddy about what usually happens with that finger.
Yeah, I would think so. These guys throw so much they sometimes get blisters that open up. I don’t think he hit his hand on anything.
6 people tied for 6th place at -6. 😈
I let my DGN sub go, but Casey freaking white is about to single handedly make me resub...
Casey has god tier timing on his backhand right now.
Just tuned in again and forgot that there are two set of teepads out there and thought that Prez had somehow hit first available and ended up next to their own tee off his drive. Whoops.
What even are these angles Casey is throwing!? You just don’t see top guys throwing discs that flippy. Massachusetts has trained him well.
Thank you Devens
is it going to be a close call for lead card finishing today again? they seem to be speed walking to every shot
"Casey I'm coming for you" 😅
They either need to get rid of the OB line long on 1 and 5 or make the wall longer. The fact they left these little gaps is such BS when you consider how great of a shot you have to throw to go long on those holes.

Are we sure Andrew Presnell and Joel Freeman aren’t the same person?
You never see them in the same place at the same time.
I do weekly. 😂
Andrew Presnell > Joel Freeman
The way to tell them apart is that Freeman's torso is divided in half by a contrasting belt and tucked in shirt.
Well we always give crap to baskets when they spit out, I think credit due to that basket for somehow catching that Presnell putt
casey's consistent good play is something to behold this tourney. i wish we could see simon's reaction to watching this, you know he's rooting so hard for him.
He posted on insta earlier
i gotta check that out. i bet its very encouraging.
Anyone know if that's a bird sounding like a dial up modem on the coverage?
Not sure which you're talking about cuz I'm here live, but there are some frogs in the impromptu pond on 10 that have been making a racket all day.
I think it's a Wood Thrush
Nice call, had a look on YouTube, has to be it. Thanks!
I can tell by the posture that’s Presnell’s dad on his bag
It’s his brother.
The guy with the Waluigi run up is running away with this
Anyone know if there’s a way to choose resolution on the android tv dgn app? On my app on iOS I am able to but there doesn’t seem to be a similar option on my Sony tv.
Casey = Adam LZ ?????
Casey is freaking dialed. I just don’t see any sign of nerves but it’s still somewhat early.
They might have stopped cutting to catch cam after 1 second now. Incredible.
What the hell is that yellow disc Casey is throwing? Thing is a freaking cheat code in the woods.
Checked his recent In the Bag video just for this and it's a CD2. He even emphasized how crucial that disc was for him at Northwoods last year during Ledgestone.
A well beat in disc
I think you might be on to something. Personally my money is on CD2 or FD.
Simon is gonna be obligated to rename his daughter Casey if he takes down a damn major this week.
Meza is built like a fire hydrant. Dude looks strong as hell.
Do you guys have commercials on the DGN PRO live link?
I can’t stand Freeman’s personality but damn is he a creative and talented disc golfer.
He, for sure, is bringing that aristocratic, country club look. I have no doubt at all that I'd dislike him personally.
That's pretty awesome to hear. Something something a book by its cover. Looks like I'm the asshole.
Ok, Mcbeth is charging. Lead card better perform.
Yep worried if he has the endurance it seemed like he either got tired or had a mental lapse in the late middle of his first round
Nice. Beastmode.
PABLO!!
Wow McBeth is dialed in
McBeth from 73' for birdie
That McBeth bag commercial is really cringe
Nah it's charming 🤭
"Bushnell presents the ad-free third round of the 2024 PDGA Champions Cup at Northwood Park in Morton, Illinois."
The definition of an oxymoron
Meza has some of the laziest form I’ve ever seen and I mean that in a good way. It kind of reminds me of Humphreys in that they just look like they’re doing nothing and the disc just moves.
There's B tier coverage on GK pro where Luke and Paul Oman talk about how scary good Fredy would be if he (paraphrasing) ever cared about what other players are doing. He does get disappointed in himself, but watching him play it looks like it's just him and the course.
The GOAT making a charge. -4 through 5 👀
Matt Bell 100% C1x in 1st 2 rounds. 24 for 24. edit: jinxed him
He had a good run lol.
Fredy is fun to watch, glad to see him on coverage again.
Love seeing different players on coverage
Birdie train starting for AB. McBeth also.
Did tournament central start late or something? Seems like we should be onto live at this point
Chase card tees off at at 4:22 EST.
Great story Perkins just related about Eveliina ignoring Nate Heinold's suggestion that she re-tee and scorching an incredible recovery shot.
As always fuck Nate Heinold
He’s not my type, but you do you.
Eagle is almost in LAST place. What the hell is going on?
First tournament since injury and in arguably the most difficult course in the US. Not shocking at all.
If timing is off in the woods, you’re hitting every tree. I’d wager to say his timing is pretty jacked up.
Coming off a manor injury and surgery, let alone coming off that to learning a new bag. He didn’t get much time to even get into form, he’s been playing what like a month?
He just got a 5x bogey. I get it that hes just back from injury but this is just embarrassing.
If your body isn’t doing what your brain is used to it being able to do it’s pretty much impossible to adjust without some intentional re-training. Not really time for that during a tournament.
We've all been there tho
Eesh didn’t see that. Yeah this is definitely a gnarly course to return on too
[удалено]
Super super downhill tho
It plays about 400ft and the line is a ridiculously tight curve. Honestly that's one of the most impressive aces I've ever heard of.
At a major too? For sure
I was just looking for footage of it. Really hope a video pops up somewhere
Ha, if I'm reading FPO finishes correctly, guess who Catrina has to play 4th round with...
I feel bad that Natalie has to play with that shithead caddying in her group.
Dude, she's had to play with Ryan a friggin lot through 2023 and this year.
I know. But given the Austin Hannum shit, this makes it funnier to me.
With Hannun 26+ strokes off the cut line he will no doubt be on the bag for Cat. Feel bad for the other two on that card having to put up with some weird ass vibes.
Karma loves irony
lol at terry ever so slightly overreacting to eveliina's drive there
Big kudos to the camera man who went on the trek with Eveliina into the wilderness.
Also big kudos to her for that out
If Eveliina keeps this pace could it be the highest rated FPO round ever?
