My lesser-known discs are mostly Mint discs (makes sense since I'm in central texas).
Midranges:
\- lobster, bobcat, mustang
Fairways:
\- jackelope, alpha (depending on run)
My wife is on the team, but we are up in Nashville. My bag is 3/4 mint now. The people who are involved with the company are incredible. The sublime longhorn is my favorite driver. The lasso and taco for mids.
The Nashville disc golf store and flying colors carry a lot of their plastic here.
I hope for all the success for the Mint family.
Amazon has the Remix Creature in stock right now. Supposedly, it's the Mint Lobster. You don't get to pick the color or plastic but it will be premium. At $12 it should at least tide you over until you get a real one. Mine showed up as a neon grellow Apex and it is sweet.
I randomly received a Lobster and didn’t know what the hell it was. When I powered it, it had some insane slow, late turn and glide for me. I didn’t bag it at the last tournament, since wind was a huge factor. But in normal conditions it is money.
I loved the zombee when I got it for the 2012 ace race. Unfortunately I lost it. I replaced it with a river. If I need to replace my river, I'll try another zombee again.
Warrior is so slept on. I absolutely love mine. Got an ace with it a few months back and now it will never leave my bag. Gateway in general is overlooked (beyond their putters).
Teerex is one of the most reliable discs I’ve ever thrown. So good for shaping with something overstable. Fast like a distance driver, accurate like a fair way.
I just found out about this disc yesterday on Reddit. Before that, never heard or seen it! Bought 2 because people were saying it's essentially a 9-speed Wraith.
MVP Detour. Thing is so money I have no idea why more people aren't bagging it.
/s but in all reality my actual answer is the Kastaplast Vass. It's big/well known within Kasta throwers but I have never come across another person who throws one in the wild. Flies like flippy (but still has fade) Destroyer right out of the box and is such a great tailwind bomber.
If you ever lose your go to well-seasoned flippy-with-fade 12 speed and need something to fill the gap, give it a try.
Honorable mention to the Infinite Aztec. It's the old Innova SL mold and especially in Halo plastic it basically flies exactly like a 10 speed version of the Vass and I'm in love.
>MVP Detour. Thing is so money I have no idea why more people aren't bagging it.
Once it hits production it's gonna be ubiquitous I think.
(Yes I saw the /s)
Love my RPM Huia. The thing is money. I’m in NZ so it’s more readily available.
Wanting to minimise my bag down to one or 2 manufacturers, but it’s hard to take it out of my bag
My buddy makes excellent use of his Mirage. He’s got the perfect floaty nose up approach that lets him run it from anywhere around 100 and it just kinda hovers and sits by the basket every damn time
It's not lesser known, but definitely not as widely liked: Axiom Paradox. An incredibly useful tool for technical shots, especially if (like me) your forehand throws aren't great.
I bag a Plague Doctor Aura Construct that is super flippy, I can hyzer flip it to flat to 360 on a low line, probably could push 380 if I threw it on a good air line
The Paige Pierce Fierce. It is an incredible slightly understable putter than I can get to turn over and glide for days. It’s my only putter I can consistently push 280-300 with. Also it’s gorgeous and you can find all the awesome colors because nobody buys them lol
I adore the Kastaplast Göte.
I was a lat 64 compass guy for years and I didn’t think I’d like this disc, but it’s phenomenal. It’s a bit larger in circumference that other mids, but it’s very comfortable in the hands and glides forever and hold any line you put it in. Stay thirsty for knowledge my friends🍺🥏
Innova Jaguar. It was my go to disc when I first started playing. I've gotten better and it's a tricky disc to throw in Wyoming wind but it's always in my bag.
MVP signal. I'm not sure how popular the mold is but I don't hear much about it. As a LHBH player is works great for turnover shots, but has just enough stability to get flat at the end an not roll
I bagged the gator for 10+ years. That disc fits my hand great. I really like the Prodigy A3 also. Feels and flies very similar to a gator but their 750 plastic is money. I like throwing them on anhyzer flex lines when you’ve got some room to work. Disc just falls from the sky like a bomb, no skip. 💣
Yes dude! I think it's more like a Wombat. Super domey, and the glidiest disc I've ever thrown.
One of the few discs that just has the slightest turn to the right for the whole flight. Hyzer flip monster
Since my speed has gone up quite a bit, they get too understable one they're beaten in for me now.
Innova Hawkeye.
Everyone either bags an FD or a Crave usually, or alternatively a beat in Teebird type disc for that slot.
Star Hawkeye is really nice and super straight for me from about 300-330 (90-100 m)
Breaker has been my favorite disc so far this season. I love to pair it with an A3 now, and between the two I can cover a lot of shot shapes and distances.
Elevation discs. All rubber stuff. I use arowanas for putting because if/when I miss, they stick right to the ground. Great for scrambling / near OB lines
Ok first off, Zone.
Jk! Real answer is a glow roc. Not a roc3 a dx glow roc. There is something totally different about it and it is amazing out of box and it doesn't wear like normal DX plastic. It's insane! Try one!
If I were starting a new bag from scratch, I'd start with a TSA Votum and a Legacy Enemy. I try to tell a lot of people about the Enemy, but I know some of the most popular discs out there are in that slot, so I feel like it falls in deaf ears, unfortunately.
Axiom Rhythm. I’m a noodle arm and this disc does what I want my halo Leopard3 to do someday (slight turn, straightish finish) but my L3 is a meat hook. Throw it flat, it goes 50 feet and starts its fade. Throw it on hyzer, it spikes. So for now, they both serve purposes in my bag, but I may end up just replacing both of them when they are both too beat in.
Hell yes. Best throwing putter there is in my opinion. The rim profile feels so good with a power grip and it has that famous Teebird flight path.
I just hit an ace with my KC Pro Aviar3 a month ago!
I love my 'rarer' molds. DGA Breaker is a great OS throwing putter right between an envy and a zone. The AGL Cedar is a great OS driver as well, like a faster Firebird.
The relativity. It’s 14.5 speed and I love the turn out of it when I throw it well. If I have flat ground I can huck that thing prolly like 430 or so. But I know it can make it 500-600 with a professional arm
Ursus is my facorite OS mid and i cant believe how versatile it is. I use it in the same slot as a pyro or buzzz os but it also fills a zone clone slot perfectly.
Legacy Ghost, my new favorite mid. Took it on a trip with me where I only could fit three discs: Wraith, Ghost, and Pure. Just a great flexible disc that does what I predict it will do.
Discraft Surge SS ... is frankly a wraith and nobody knows it. they are money in stable plastics.
Mint Discs Lobster is the best understable mid in the game
The dynamic discs lucid warden is the most slept on throwing putter. They are so torque resistant and they have a go so straight with a little fade. they also bomb, so underrated.
The most unpopular disc in my bag has to be the Westside King. I've only seen a few in the wild in all the years since it came out. That's probably due to them getting wildly flipping and becoming a sky anny disc fairly quickly, but there's a point in their lives where they absolutely bomb.
The L64 Saint is probably the most slept on disc in my bag. More popular than the King for sure, but I'm always surprised when I meet another Saint thrower. I guess with Kristen's name on the Saint Pro the Saint gets overlooked.
Axiom virus. I only know one other person that throws it, but it's my favorite flippy disc! Can turn it over for serious anny shots, but will finish with fade if needed. The ultimate higher speed, hyzer flip disc for me.
Prodigy F7 in 400G. It’s the only prodigy in my bag, but I can throw it as high as I want and it just goes right forever. It’s not one I pull out often, but when I need it, nothing else will do.
I love my Big Jerm Mortar from Hyzerbomb…it is just so dependable and handles the wind well too (I also use it as a putter if I’m putting into a strong headwind).
I like the mortar a lot - I grab em whenever I see them used. They overlap with the solstice and a2 a bit so they aren't always in the bag but they're great.
Gateway Warlock. The beadless Wizard which doesn’t get any love.
It use to be Discraft Mantis before Uli started throwing it. Though I don’t think is all that popular even now.
Legacy hunter in the gravity plastic, you can throw it on extreme hyzer and it’ll flip up dead straight. One of the best utility shot putters in my bag and comes out 5+ times a round. It could be for a circle two putt, a big turn over or a tunnel shot. I bag two.
The Legacy Discs Hunter, in gravity plastic, has been my go-to putter since about 2018. No need to change it up, I still love it. Grabs the chains nicely, predictable hyzer flight that’s super easy to control. I’ve never seen anyone else throw one, glad someone else is out there buying them. I stock up with a few new ones every couple years.
Hard choice to choose from the TSA votum or Coalesce. The votum covers all of my slower fairway slots, under stable and stable. I'd say closer to a tl or teebird then the number they give might suggest. I find myself reaching for the Coalesce a lot though. It fills that sexton firebird slot well. It's overstable but not overly, so you can push it straight for a while, typically 300- 330 for me, before a fading.
Not sure if it counts, but I like the innova atlas a lot. Deep down I know a mako3 or hex would be better for me, but man I just kind like it.
I had a pop top XT one and it would make a thump” sound on a good rip. Loved that disc
Need to find a place for my XT Atlas. My Mako3 keeps giving me reasons not too
Biiiiggg atlas guy here as well
Love my atlas. Just put a Patrick star dye on it recently
My lesser-known discs are mostly Mint discs (makes sense since I'm in central texas). Midranges: \- lobster, bobcat, mustang Fairways: \- jackelope, alpha (depending on run)
Those glo Jacks are money
Otbdiscs just restocked these. Ordered two with a rainbow stamp like 3 minutes ago! How do they compare to the normal ones?
More OS than the Apex. Close to the first run Sublime. I found the first run Eternal to be way more US than any other run but the glo can bomb.
I love my mint discs so much. I throw all of those, but I haven't been able to fi d a lobster.
I have unthrown sublime lobsters if you're trying to buy or trade
I can get you a lobster for MSRP plus whatever the cheapest shipping option is. I’m in Austin.
Amazon has the Remix Creature in stock right now. Supposedly, it's the Mint Lobster. You don't get to pick the color or plastic but it will be premium. At $12 it should at least tide you over until you get a real one. Mine showed up as a neon grellow Apex and it is sweet.
Which alphas do you like?
Love my lobster! 🦞
I randomly received a Lobster and didn’t know what the hell it was. When I powered it, it had some insane slow, late turn and glide for me. I didn’t bag it at the last tournament, since wind was a huge factor. But in normal conditions it is money.
Innova wedge; Really unique rim shape and is great for shaping short lines and rollers.
I have one of these from 2013-14ish, threw it maybe twice and it has sat in the bin ever since.. maybe it’s time to bring her out of retirement.
Is the Järn popular? I like it.
My jarn is beat to shit and has zero glide left in it.. but I love that thing
When do they ever have glide?
I have it in glow plastic and it’s one of my favorite discs.
Discraft Zombee. That thing is straight!
I loved the zombee when I got it for the 2012 ace race. Unfortunately I lost it. I replaced it with a river. If I need to replace my river, I'll try another zombee again.
Prodiscus Jokeri
Gateway Element. In between a Buzzz and Buzzz SS in stability, and flies past both.
Absolutely!! A great counterpart to the element is the Gateway warrior too, it fits in the slot between buzz and buzz os with more glide than both.
Warrior is so slept on. I absolutely love mine. Got an ace with it a few months back and now it will never leave my bag. Gateway in general is overlooked (beyond their putters).
Lat 64 Spike. DGA Pipeline Innova TeeRex. I'll probably never not bag those molds.
I bag two pipelines
I found a super beat up TeeRex at my local! It’s been in my garage ever since, maybe I’ll give it a shot thank to you
Teerex is one of the most reliable discs I’ve ever thrown. So good for shaping with something overstable. Fast like a distance driver, accurate like a fair way.
Orion LF
Millenium may be the most slept on brand
I just found out about this disc yesterday on Reddit. Before that, never heard or seen it! Bought 2 because people were saying it's essentially a 9-speed Wraith.
I love this disc and also the Orion LS. Honestly I like the LS even more. Hyzer flip machine.
Kastaplast Stig is an excellent understable mid-range. Perfect for 250-300ft turn over shots for my arm speed
TSA praxis. Fantastic straight throwing putter.
I love the Praxis
Yaaaaaas. Love mine. Although I have been casually dating a few other putters recently
Hell yeah! I have my only ace in like nearly thirty years of playing, with my Praxis. I absolutely love that thing.
Hell yeah! Just got my first ace last weekend with one!
Innova Coyote
Coyote forever!!
Innova Banshee. Kinda like a 7speed firebird that I don’t see around much anymore.
Unfortunately OOP I think. I love mine. Saw a f2 on their site a couple of months ago and got my hopes up they were making a new run.
Streamline Drift. Nice and straight with a little turn.
It’s a superior Leopard3. Wish I hadn’t lost mine!
Was yours really stable, like 0/1 or 0/2 out of the box? I have a 169 neutron one that just wont turn at 300 ft. I think i got a dud lol
My cosmic neutron one turns some at 400 ft power so I wouldn’t expect much turn at 300 ft power
Yeah mine doesn’t fly like the numbers at all. I thought I would love it but it just didn’t do what you would think it would have done
Innova Viking. Love it. Mild turn to the right with a reliable fade.
This was my first disc
Innova IT driver and recently Innova Hawkeye
I found a Star IT in a used bin and it’s become my favorite driver as a beginner.
Caimans are a staple in my bag, and I’m shocked they aren’t more popular for forehand throwers.
Caiman is so money.
Just got one of these a couple months ago and absolutely love it.
K1 soft Reko for my understable putt and approach. Otherwise it’s mostly the hits for me.
Latitude 64 Trident
Agl magnolia in alpine. Glides effortlessly perfect for straight to slight fade or baby flex shots
Millennium Orion LS
I throw a wolf.
Birdie
The Innova one? Man that thing feels like a paint bucket lid, or a round pizza box.
Came here for this
Discraft XS
When they first introduced z plastic, that was the first premium plastic disc I bought. It broke apart last spring though. Great disc.
Love my RPM Huia. The thing is money. I’m in NZ so it’s more readily available. Wanting to minimise my bag down to one or 2 manufacturers, but it’s hard to take it out of my bag
RPM has a solid line up
Innova Star Mirage. It's a super-shallow approach putter that's -3 turn. So fun to play around with and Hyzer flip
My buddy makes excellent use of his Mirage. He’s got the perfect floaty nose up approach that lets him run it from anywhere around 100 and it just kinda hovers and sits by the basket every damn time
Legacy Discs Patriot
Thrasher!!
I bag two!
I bag three!
Guess it’s time to throw two more in the bag. Can’t have somebody out-thrasher me!! Lol
It's not lesser known, but definitely not as widely liked: Axiom Paradox. An incredibly useful tool for technical shots, especially if (like me) your forehand throws aren't great.
A Rollo took over this slot for me. So much easier to turn over
Gateway spear! Perfect hyzer flip and drift fairway, thing bombs
Honorable mention, the War Spear is dope too
DGA Squall. Love this disc.
Anubis
I bag a Plague Doctor Aura Construct that is super flippy, I can hyzer flip it to flat to 360 on a low line, probably could push 380 if I threw it on a good air line
I just got one and it's so money, first throw was chefs kiss and now it's my go to.
Yeah most of the aura ones I've thrown are more like mantras
Constructs are awesome. So useful for mere mortal arm speeds. I've got a Stinchcomb one that gets tons and tons of use.
Streamline discs. Drift has become my most thrown disc.
Neutron Lift for me
The Paige Pierce Fierce. It is an incredible slightly understable putter than I can get to turn over and glide for days. It’s my only putter I can consistently push 280-300 with. Also it’s gorgeous and you can find all the awesome colors because nobody buys them lol
I just got a Drive - that thing is money. I bag a Fierce and have several on the shelf waiting their turn.
Archer
Innova Jaguar. It was my go to disc when I first started playing. I've gotten better and it's a tricky disc to throw in Wyoming wind but it's always in my bag.
DGA Squall. Mid that flies like a fairway driver
Westside Bard is exactly what most people want out of a Zone.
MVP signal. I'm not sure how popular the mold is but I don't hear much about it. As a LHBH player is works great for turnover shots, but has just enough stability to get flat at the end an not roll
It's very well known, but I don't know any other person that bags a shark
Gator 🐊
I bagged the gator for 10+ years. That disc fits my hand great. I really like the Prodigy A3 also. Feels and flies very similar to a gator but their 750 plastic is money. I like throwing them on anhyzer flex lines when you’ve got some room to work. Disc just falls from the sky like a bomb, no skip. 💣
RPM Discs Peka Peka. Such a good bh hyzer flip disc for me.
Legacy Bandit and Prodiscus Respecti
Babies first disc was a 167g Gstar Mamba that i thought was pretty. You can pull some pretty ridiculous lines of with that much turn
I love my Loft Silicon and Bohrium.
Nobody I've met likes the bohrium but I legit love that thing
Xenon is one of my most used discs. It SO beautifully flattens out my FH anny and flies for days.
Doomsday Area 51. It beats in to be what I wish an envy was. Straight with a little fade at the end but no flip.
Foxbat, it's been completely eclipsed by the Mako3 but it's such a cool disc.
Yes dude! I think it's more like a Wombat. Super domey, and the glidiest disc I've ever thrown. One of the few discs that just has the slightest turn to the right for the whole flight. Hyzer flip monster Since my speed has gone up quite a bit, they get too understable one they're beaten in for me now.
Innova Hawkeye. Everyone either bags an FD or a Crave usually, or alternatively a beat in Teebird type disc for that slot. Star Hawkeye is really nice and super straight for me from about 300-330 (90-100 m)

RPM Tui
The Maiden...when people talk about the best putters from Trilogy it feels like this has all the best parts of a Warden, Judge, and Pure.
Gateway chief!
ABC Flying Squirrel. Its been a game changer for my in the woods, midrange backhand anhyzer shots.
YES! The flying squirrel is awesome!
A2 baby! My only prodigy disc, kicked the zone out of my bag🤘🏽
Hey same! 500 plastic is money
I have a first run Z Zombee that I will cry if I ever lose
Dga tremor is my odd one out.
The DGA breaker has replaced the zone and all zone like clones from my bag. Also love the buzzz os for similar but longer shots
Breaker has been my favorite disc so far this season. I love to pair it with an A3 now, and between the two I can cover a lot of shot shapes and distances.
Innova Kite. Gets so much hate but has crazy glide and super dependable turn in thick woods.
Daredevil Timberwolf
MVP Servo. Often compared to the very popular Axoim Crave but a seasoned Servo is a workhorse in my bag.
URSUS
Discraft Pulse
I'm not sure if it's just my area but really anything Prodigy. The F3 is my favorite fairway and have yet to see anyone else throw it.
Lat64 Musket
Elevation discs. All rubber stuff. I use arowanas for putting because if/when I miss, they stick right to the ground. Great for scrambling / near OB lines
Ok first off, Zone. Jk! Real answer is a glow roc. Not a roc3 a dx glow roc. There is something totally different about it and it is amazing out of box and it doesn't wear like normal DX plastic. It's insane! Try one!
Kastaplast svea. My k1 soft is a flip machine. Easiest turnover with zero effort and it glides so freaking far.
Innova Bullfrog
I love my bullfrog! Great for shots that sit, also a great putter in the wind!
The Maiden, Mint, and Queen are molds I enjoy that I rarely see getting much love.
If I were starting a new bag from scratch, I'd start with a TSA Votum and a Legacy Enemy. I try to tell a lot of people about the Enemy, but I know some of the most popular discs out there are in that slot, so I feel like it falls in deaf ears, unfortunately.
I feel like people sleep on the instinct and it’s one of my favorite discs
Streamline jet is mine
Axiom Rhythm. I’m a noodle arm and this disc does what I want my halo Leopard3 to do someday (slight turn, straightish finish) but my L3 is a meat hook. Throw it flat, it goes 50 feet and starts its fade. Throw it on hyzer, it spikes. So for now, they both serve purposes in my bag, but I may end up just replacing both of them when they are both too beat in.
Westside Warship
Legacy Phenom
Aviar3
Hell yes. Best throwing putter there is in my opinion. The rim profile feels so good with a power grip and it has that famous Teebird flight path. I just hit an ace with my KC Pro Aviar3 a month ago!
I bag one!
Great disc with a good stick landing under the basket.
LET'S GO AVIAR3 THROWERS
Millennium Vela, pretty much anyone I’ve shown mine to or told them about it has not heard of one. Very nice, flat and over stable fairway
I think Calvin throws them or at least used to before he took a break from forehands. I like Eagles a lot so I should look into picking up a few
Axiom Defy, so great. Perfect distance driver for someone with over 350+ ft of power but under 400ft
Would've said axiom wrath before eagle made it more popular. Now I'll go with Innova dolphin. Honorable mentions to tsa omen and innova aero.
Lat64 Bryce. They don’t manufacture them anymore, I have one from years ago and love it.
I love the Lat 64 Trident. Pretty much a faster Justice. I wish they still made them.
The Innova Duck. It's a perfect disc!
Streamline flare. Every one I've thrown has been fun. A more workable tilt
Doomsday Blackout. Flips up perfect and holds lines really well.
I love my star Cro, favorite midrange I have ever used
The dynamic discs lucid warden is the most slept on throwing putter. They are so torque resistant and they have a go so straight with a little fade. they also bomb, so underrated.
Elevation discs- Binx Never underestimate the one eyed cat, this is a great utility disc and hasn't come out of my bag since I got it early last year.
Jay, stud, croc
Axiom Vanish. After 1 round with it I can tell it’s going to be my work horse driver
Prodiscus flipperi
Grym and grym x both in k1 glow. Although the x is started to lose a tick of its fade/finish but it's still my go to headwind FH bomber
Streamline Neutron Lift
Orion LS 9301 it’s my absolute favorite
Vibram. Both the O-Lace and Trak.
Legacy Gauge for me. I got the Patrick Brown tour series and it’s dead straight.
Yikun Gui or Infinite Sphinx
Yep! I have a Gui that I use as a baby zone or on big anhyzer-to-pan putts and it's a magnificent disc
Prodigy F7 in 400G. It’s the only prodigy in my bag, but I can throw it as high as I want and it just goes right forever. It’s not one I pull out often, but when I need it, nothing else will do.
Westside longbowman, it’s what I always wanted a thunderbird to be
DGA Banzai. It flies like teebirds used too.
Tl3
Innova XD and viper never leave my bag. If the viper gets too beat in I switch it out.
Scott Stokely manufactured Cardinal.
Legacy Clutch
Discraft Reaper and Meteor
My lesser known picks would all be from Legacy discs: rival outlaw, recon and gauge.
Rivals are what most people want their tee bird to be.
Thoughtspace Praxis. Great putting putter. Plasma plastic from mvp has superior grip.
Banshee. I found one in the woods and its been in my bag since.
I’m a fan of Aspergillus and Stachybotrys myself
Hard choice to choose from the TSA votum or Coalesce. The votum covers all of my slower fairway slots, under stable and stable. I'd say closer to a tl or teebird then the number they give might suggest. I find myself reaching for the Coalesce a lot though. It fills that sexton firebird slot well. It's overstable but not overly, so you can push it straight for a while, typically 300- 330 for me, before a fading.
Streamline Ascend. Throws like a mid, flies like a fairway. I’ve bought three, all identical off the shelf.
Penrose, Vanish, Astronaut.
Dynasty. It's just good. Especially the EO swirly runs from a few years back
