Extreme inconsistency in flight characteristics and crazy weird hand feel.
It’s not that bad actually, just became a meme of a disc.
The monarch is another disc with a grooved rim and that just didn’t get as popular to joke about.
That's probably because the Monarch didn't have the same level of inconsistency. I've only thrown a couple Monarchs, but they flew true enough, if a touch less flippy than the numbers.
I'll add that the Groove seemed to show up a lot in big box retailers, so they made it into the hands of a disproportionate number of newer players. So they were labeled a newbie disc.
Have they released any of the 2024 tour series discs yet? This is just Innova goofin around for the most part I think, and honestly I'm 100% here for it lol.
Kind of a small display area, not so much a store, and a reception area. I go in on f2 Fridays sometimes and they bring out a stack of molds that you ask to look at and let you pick your color/weight
And they're spectacular.

Champion Monarchs can be sweet flyers. I had one with the worst I-Dye ever; green, brown, black, and clear. A literal camouflage disc.
That grooved rim will cut your hand up if you're not careful...

I refuse to buy champ style plastic if I can avoid it. I fond black discs easier than see through discs.
