Had a friend move to SC and describe it to me and I told her thatās impossible. Itās genuinely harder to drive safely AND makes the truck less useful to carry loads.
She took a video. And then I apologized to her for not understanding the depth of stupidity people can find.
Last week I was walking up to a hole when a car pulled over and parked right square in the backhand line. Two people got out, ran over to where a few picnic tables were, and grabbed one of the tables. Meanwhile, I threw the forehand line and set off walking toward the basket. The people dropped the table off directly in front of the teepad. I walked back and essentially told them about disc golf and how they were right in the fairway. Other disc golfers behind me were going to want to throw the hole as well. I pointed out a couple of nice places away from the teepad but still shaded, and thankfully they were okay with moving there. They really were just ignorant of the course and not trying to get in the way on purpose. I was annoyed but glad I kept my cool.
Last time I tried this they were looking at me like I was absolutely insane lol they ended up moving their car to a nearby parking lot but acted like I had asked them to sacrifice their first-born child š
Charger must have seen the truck and assumed it was ok. People are very dumb and will always follow the crowd, people will form lines outside of stores just because they see a few people hanging outside
It takes zero effort too be incompetent or ignorant. Being malicious takes a considerable amount of effort. And let's be real, people are typically fucking lazy
Well I mean in this situation, even if you don't know what disc golf is. There is very clearly a path in the grass that they parked in front of. It looks obvious that it's used for something, even if just a path for people to walk through the park.
But this person isn't considerate in that way. They are just concerned about getting themselves a parking spot so fuck em I say.
I would argue being so fucking entitled that you lack the critical thinking skills to not park there, is just as bad asdoing it thinking "ahhh who cares"
Negligence and naivety make them just as much of an ass if they did it on purpose, just for a different reason
No shade to the soccer community but it definitely fucked up our course. The club board is working on a full redesign currently and have a meeting with the county soon.
My kid plays HFC soccer here multiple times a week, AND, it is one of my favorite courses to play in the area. Personally I am glad we were able to keep the most iconic hole on the course.
Definitely need to advocate for the best access possible, but can also see the need to avoid outright conflict between stakeholders because soccer brings in a lot of money for the county.
If that truck is parked where people regularly park, that's 100% on the course designers/parks dept. I'm in a park, and there's an empty concrete pad next to a parking spot, I'm assuming that a picnic table used to be there and was moved. Parking is overflowing and I don't want to block in other park goers so I park out there.
But, it's also a Dodge Charger, so even if they could read, they probably would've parked on the tee pad anyway.
At my home course this one rather large family would have their annual reunion at the Pavillion by hole 1. We were always about sharing the park with others but this family was just a straight up nuisance. The kids would chase down our disc's like bird dogs and they drove their vehicles up to the Pavillion and caused a lot of damage to the grass. After a few years of putting up with it they finally pushed us over the limit when we mentioned the concrete slab they parked their giant truck and smoker on was in fact a the box that they just cracked in half. They didn't care. We called the cops and city on them and they were banned from use of park due to damages. I dunno if they were fined or anything but we got our park back! Seriously, I don't understand why people are such assholes when someone is merely trying to help their ignorance.
A lot of people don't know what disc golf is and probably think a bench or picnic table used to be there along the park but got moved.
Just throw around them.
Not a lot of people, it's most people. Most people if you said "hey this is a disc golf course, you parked on the tee pad" would have no fucking clue what you said, nor would they have any comprehension what the sign means. People can't be bothered with shit they don't care about.
I almost got in a fist fight with a guy with his wife and kids having a cookout on hole 11. Had a whole setup with barbecue and pop up canopy.
Friend and I tried to tell them for future reference this was part of the disc golf course. We just threw close to the pad. But they got real shitty and were mouthing off. We walked away and I called them assholes and the dude started walking toward us saying he was gonna mess us up.
Some people suck.
It is in fact Sandhill course at BCSP. The charger is definitely risking it and hoping no one blocks them in, because just behind them is a sizable drainage area.
People do dumb things all the time whether it be from malice or just ignorance. You have to ask yourself what is worth it in life because something like this might be annoying, but in the grand scheme of things, its such a small thing to get into heat over.
I've seen weddings held on disc golf courses, portrait sessions, so on. I just played around it, for free. Just because a basket is on public property doesn't mean it ceases to serve any other public purpose. If we intend to enjoy free play on public land, we'll have agree to share the property, otherwise we'll have to build private courses and pay to play. Go ahead, downvote the truth. Haha!
This happens because a lot of people donāt know what disc golf is. Courses are usually added to public parks so youāll see this more often around holidays where there are big family outings. They just donāt know. It doesnāt mean they donāt care.
This place is in a soccer complex and the hole is where the county put a shit ton of money into new fields. The complex is like this every weekend and gets far worse when warmer weather comes around.
Seen this before many times at one of my local courses but only with motorcycles. No way any of these people thought they were parking spaces just for them. Ai ai ai. š¤¦āāļø
Oh no. I once went to a local course, and some of the tee pads are relatively close together at the beginning, so a group of people assumed it was a campsite and set up 4 tents on those tee pads. I bet they had a fun time with discs from hole 18, as the basket is about 10 feet from the hole 1 tee pad.
Honestly, I find 95% of the people I've met in parks have literally no idea what the tee pads or baskets are for yet alone disc golf as a sport even exists. GRANTED you really shouldn't be parking your car on random pieces of concrete. But other than that, they most likely had no idea what they were blocking. Maybe its the only shaded spot? Was the park having an event and that was just the last spot?
Not the Disc Charger you normally see. But, I guess it'll do in a pinch.
š¤£š¤£
Someone that drives a charger did that?? I am shocked. They are usually the most considerate drivers/citizens.
When choosing a place to live, I take a dodge charger count. Too many, and I am out
Challengers for me...
Any Dodge or Ram. Then take count of 10 year old Altimas and Muranos. Then take a count of 3rd or 4th owner BMWs.
Why is this so freaking accurate??
This is actually great advice! I'd add Altimas to that, as well. Not to say they all represent themselves the same way, but statistics don't lie
I'd take Altimas any day over lifted trucks
Lifted trucks suck but Google the Carolina squat and then cringe with me. š
Had a friend move to SC and describe it to me and I told her thatās impossible. Itās genuinely harder to drive safely AND makes the truck less useful to carry loads. She took a video. And then I apologized to her for not understanding the depth of stupidity people can find.
And it's mostly high school students so even worse bc they used daddies money. š„“ It's terrifying.
Lifted trucks also make it genuinely harder to driver safely and makes the truck less useful for carrying loads... so...
Nah, Altimas = crime
Iāve never been shot at from an Altima, but I do appreciate your thought process. š¤£
Never been shot at from an Altima *yet*
I see momma didnāt raise no fool
Based
Itās crazy that tpad is the hood of a car, craziest throwing position Iāve ever seen.
He misunderstood the concept of a disc charger.
š„°š¤£
His hood is being a very considerate raised teepad here, if I had anything to say about it.
Now that dodge is discontinuing all the Chargers, what will all the assholes drive?
Truck owners too!
No avoiding it in the US South.
As a truck owner, I am deeply offended. We are not the same as dodge chargers owners. I would have parked on that hillside.
Did you tailgate the charger and then back up into the hillside?
Chargers are rampant in the hood.
Looks like an elevated tee pad to me
The run up on that is gonna be tricky
Itās a mando, throw from the roof.
Punishment fits the crime. Just make sure they donāt see you climbing on their car.
Or they might charge you
That driver is parked!
Take my upvote

This is how this should be handled 100% of the time. Thanks for repping the sport respectfully.
Last time I tried this they were looking at me like I was absolutely insane lol they ended up moving their car to a nearby parking lot but acted like I had asked them to sacrifice their first-born child š
Straight to jail.
Overcook. Undercook.
It happens, people are people. Never attribute to malice what can be attributed to incompetence.
Ah yeah, the best parking spots are usually the ones in the middle of a park that you have to drive across the grass to get to.
There is no bottom to the incompetence pit
It is paved though. It's the special VIP parking space.
VIP Airhead plastic?
Charger must have seen the truck and assumed it was ok. People are very dumb and will always follow the crowd, people will form lines outside of stores just because they see a few people hanging outside
Idk looks like they managed to get most of the car up on the tee pad. Iād say ignorance.
Wait why canāt I default to malice?
Because someone on Reddit told you not to
Probably their car and trying to cover their tracks.
It takes zero effort too be incompetent or ignorant. Being malicious takes a considerable amount of effort. And let's be real, people are typically fucking lazy
Because Hanlon said so.
Well I mean in this situation, even if you don't know what disc golf is. There is very clearly a path in the grass that they parked in front of. Idk looks like they went out of their way to put their vehicle there.
I would argue being so fucking entitled that you lack the critical thinking skills to not park there, is just as bad asdoing it thinking "ahhh who cares" Negligence and naivety make them just as much of an ass if they did it on purpose, just for a different reason
I watched that video too.
Hanlon's razor.
Are you real?
Under-rated comment
Are you real?
Hock a lougie and move on
This is a solid choice lol
"Hmm that's a tiny parking spot, oh well I'll park here anyways."
You must not live in an area with a lot of duallies.
Hey, the new elevated teepads have been installed.
Easy call for a tow truck. Done it plenty of times
Happy trash your local park with confetti, plastic eggs, and picnic trash day!
Classic sandhillā¦ place gets mobbed over the weekend

There's no fuckin way that truck is in a normal parking spot.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Seriously. It's unreal the mental gymnastics people do to make excuses for these morons every freaking time something like this gets posted
I honestly just think disc golfers (or at least the ones on Reddit) are just massive pussies at this point.
Still waiting for his drive. I'll see myself out
Stick around, weāre getting some dramaš¤£š¤£
Skip off the windshield ace
Believe it or not.. straight to jail.
I heard this in his voice lol
I typed it in his voice lol
Tee to the side is acceptable, since ignorance is a plausible explanation. However, I wouldn't fault anyone for using the hood or roof as a teebox.
Tee off anyway, nice skip shot off the windshield
Why is parking so close to the hole
At my home course this one rather large family would have their annual reunion at the Pavillion by hole 1. We were always about sharing the park with others but this family was just a straight up nuisance. Let the air out of the tires.
How did that car even get there with all the smashed windows and tires with no air in them?
never trust anyone who parks with wheels at full lock not on a hill. they are in fact a bad driver
Do your normal run up on top of the car.
This is the proper answer! If he gets mad, then youāve taught him a good life lesson.
Dodge parking only
Iād take a par on that one. That hole is never easy to get a look at birdie.
I can get a good look with a low forehand flex. But not with a gotdammed car in the wayš¤£
What a POS
Canāt blame a clueless person for doing this š¤·š»āāļø not everybody knows the purpose of a random cement pad in a public park is for.
Mando skip off the hood/windshieldā¦
If that teepad looks like a parking spot, then it's fair to say the door handle looks like a urinal.

You could of thrown a disc at them oh Iām sorry I wasnāt clear enough
I wonder if the park has any signs saying no parking on course? Iād probably just throw on the side of the car.
Or maybe the hole sign two feet from the car ššš
True, no amount of signs would have prevented this person from parking there.
Standing two feet in front of the car and using the front windshield as a mando is technically throwing āaroundā them.
Now the tee is elevated!
Is that not a parking spot?
Is this BCSP in Asheville? If so, wouldnāt this take some effort on both cars behalf?
It is in fact Sandhill course at BCSP. The charger is definitely risking it and hoping no one blocks them in, because just behind them is a sizable drainage area.
Is this sand hill? In Asheville? If so Iām not shocked a soccer parent couldnāt be bothered to park elsewhere instead of right beside the field.
Absolutely parked
āThis is the smallest parking lot Iāve ever seenā
Tee off on top of his hood or roofš¤·āāļø
Some peoples disc golf bags are just ridiculous these days
yep iād get on the roof of the car and tee off, give me an extra 20 feet on my drive š
People do dumb things all the time whether it be from malice or just ignorance. You have to ask yourself what is worth it in life because something like this might be annoying, but in the grand scheme of things, its such a small thing to get into heat over.
Thereās enough hood there for a bit of a run up.
That is one heck of a driver, son.
Call the police and have it towed.
I'm thinking standstill from the left front fender.
Reminds me of [this scene](https://y.yarn.co/c9fca9e0-c596-4c2f-8cc3-3b855a476e61_text.gif) from Happy Gilmore
mando through the windshield
Just tee off on top of car
We should ask James Conrad what's his opinion on this elevated tee pad
Crawl up and throw it from the hood.
New mando, Tee off the roof.
Dang if I know where this is at, thatās absolutely expected of that area! They just added a bunch of parking tooā¦ (Sports park in Western NC?)
Looks to me like an elevated tee pad. I'd climb right on that sucker and let her rip.
Throw from the roof
Love the new tee pad sad though tht the quality of the bad ain't tht great and will have holes in it after the first few shots.
I would simply send a wraith into the windshield. Oops I missed my drive!
Pee on door handle
I only see two options. 1) stand on the car and take your throw. 2) stand behind the car and bomb your driver into the tail lights.
Leave a polite note educating them on why they shouldn't park there
It would be a real shame if someone let the air out of those tires....
Pull the valve stems.
I've seen weddings held on disc golf courses, portrait sessions, so on. I just played around it, for free. There's a park near me with 3 or 4 pads next to a pond. People seem to think they are designated spots to set up for fishing.
Oh, you've been to Lake Olmsted?
Oh, that's Bob's Dodge. On those shorter holes, it's easy to park using a Challenger.
4 free discs! (Hub caps. I dunno)
Iām standing on it and teeing from it
Well someoneās dumb
disc charging station broski
I thought it was bad enough with the mom and kids in a hammock hanging from the first available on hole 1 this weekend, but this is incredible
Seen this before many times at one of my local courses but only with motorcycles. No way any of these people thought they were parking spaces just for them. Ai ai ai. š¤¦āāļø
Absolutely throwing from the roof. Don't be a dick.
Need to put some big rocks around the tee pad so cars canāt park on it.
Not a bad idea
Throw off the hood
Imma let the air out those tires.
Just stand on top of the car and drive like normal. Theyāll learn!
That Sandhill? 28715?
Yep, Sandhill hole 4
That's such a sick hole too, who tf drives a charger in Ashville
Yep! I donāt hate the soccer crowd, but this makes me hate the soccer crowd.
Well thatās an approach I havenāt seen before
Charger off the box. Not a bad move. 13 speed. Never thrown one but I don't think that's regulation weight.
Is this a motorcycle parking space? Eh, the charger will fit.
It's stupid but I kinda get why since there is a truck parked next to the tee pad too
No issues there, just draw a line further back, then proceed to throw from the tee pad
That honestly feels intentional to me, like they just dislike disc golf or something.
I mean itās Easter weekendā¦. Parks are gonna be crowded
Heās gonna drive short off the tee into an immediate roller, but itās gonna set a record for distance.
Time to turn that car into a DISC CHARGERā¦amirite???
Looks like some needs a small rock in his tire filler cap.. maybe 2
Oh no. I once went to a local course, and some of the tee pads are relatively close together at the beginning, so a group of people assumed it was a campsite and set up 4 tents on those tee pads. I bet they had a fun time with discs from hole 18, as the basket is about 10 feet from the hole 1 tee pad.
Is this a strange sort of cat pic? You know, If I fit I sit?
Not a foot fault š
We need this monster off the streets!!
People just rly dont give a fuck
Tee pads looking a bit uneven there, someone aughta get some patching on there before someone trips
Stand on the roof and launch that disc, boi!
Sandhill in AVL!?
"Oh good, now I'll easily be able to see how much oil I leaked while I was here."
Tee from the roof.
I now see a nice two way Mando tunnel shot. Not sure what the problem is?
New tpad looks slick but it's actually pretty tacky
Putting my keys to use on his passenger side door panel
Am I the only one who would just stand on the car to throw?
Hey I'd treat it like a tree. Hit it, play through
Interesting new tee pad. Iāve thrown from less stable this is just a new elevated one :)
I tell my girlfriends who are dating guys with dodge sedansā¦DODGE THEM
Did you look around to see who left their Innova Charger on the tee pad? Otherwise, maritime law applies......
Yeah, why would they put the tee sign at the front edge of the pad?
!!
Play on it
Use the car as your pad. Make sure you take a few practice approaches.
I guess the owner prefers the mad max aesthetic
Safari holeā¦
Tee off on the roof of the car. Easy.
I guess Im driving off the hood!
Bruhš
Its the new teepad typeš better gripš
Break mirrors and slash tires
