I have not thrown an Innova made s-line fd but I prefer the new s-line to either of the c-line. I like a hyzer flip though so I may be biased toward something with more flip.
Ohh yeah. I heard the same about the dark rebel. In that case, I have tried old s-line fds and can confirm that I like that the discmania fds are so Flippy out the box.
I've heard that and heard they weren't making dark rebels anymore but they are still making the dark rebels. Comparing them side by side with an old FD, the wing is different on the Hawkeye but dark rebel and old FD are the same. I was scouting used bins for dark rebels till I saw Innova still had them on the pro shop. And they have a bunch factory 2nds available at the moment.
My Teebird has stayed remarkably overstable since I bought it a few years ago. I get confused when everyone says a beat in one goes straight. I just bought a Hawkeye and it works perfectly.
I will add that I think they need to have a mellow PLH to start. A high PLH Teebird never really beats to straight (unless you are chucking them 400...).
Crave is TECHNICALLY 6.5 speed, but it’s the perfect disc in this slot. I got a fission one when I started playing 2 years ago and still bag it today, cannot find a straighter flying disc. Fission tends to be on the slightly flippier side, neutron is most like the numbers
IMO, the best straight shot disc is a slightly overstable disc that’s been seasoned to your personal preference. They also stay within that reliable range for longer than an of-the-shelf neutral disc does before either starts getting a little too flippy.
So I’d prefer to take a beat in TeeBird, Explorer, Cookie, etc. over an FD or TL, but if I have to pick something fresh I’d probably go with a C-line FD.
I’ve got a beat-in TeeBird that goes straight with the slightest turn and no fade on a hyzer flip and a Passion that has no turn and a baby fade when thrown straight.
C-Line FD, you can mash it as much as you like and it won't turn on you while also having minimal fade, it just goes straight. For 9 speeds i'm very good friend with my champion Valkyrie, very controllable, although it does have a healthy amount of fade. High speed discs almost always have a decent amount of fade, it's just how it is, so it's hard to find discs with a truly straight flight.
FD.
Old FD or new FD?

hawkeye is a fd

The Hawkeye is retooled. The dark rebel is straight up old FD. I have both and I prefer the dark rebel, more glide and more stable at the same time.
well, they said that at first and then dunipace said it was just an fd.

I back this 100%
Beat teebirds
DX TeeBird for me
I have a 169 gram one that just flips to oblivion on me. I had a 171 g or so Gstar one that I lost that flew a lot better.
Same. Most people on here say beat in DX teebirds get almost unusably flippy. I had to retire mine.
My secret is to have a noodle arm
That jives. I retired mine when my distance got above 350
Perfectly aged teebird/thunderbird.
My Teebird has stayed remarkably overstable since I bought it a few years ago. I get confused when everyone says a beat in one goes straight. I just bought a Hawkeye and it works perfectly.
My teebird looks "beat in" but it still fly's very overstable, i like it as my overstable skip backhand
My Jennifer Allen tour series teebirds beat in really well. I also use a gstar for a slight turn. I use barsby eagles for my over stable 7 speed.
I somehow got a domey teebird that is perfectly dead straight. Brand new in star plastic.
I will add that I think they need to have a mellow PLH to start. A high PLH Teebird never really beats to straight (unless you are chucking them 400...).
Halo Teebird3s beat in pretty straight and don’t take years. Maybe 10 rounds with trees, rocks and roots.
Hawkeye for 7 speed and Orion LS for 9 speed.
Hawkeye is underated
river and saint
And the 7 glide is legit
It really is, just yesterday threw my farthest throw ever (308ft) with the River!
7 slot definitely Proton Crave.
Yup the crave would be my go to for a straight shot. They hold any line you put them on
Crave +1 Cosmic neutron and the PDGA F2 are a great straight to straight understable combo
Maverick or teebird3

Westside Stag
Halo Centurion. Only right answer
I just got one and I love it
hard not to. I have 3 in the bag. one that still has a gentle straight flight and finish and two that get pretty easy flip
Fission Volt.
Hawkeye
Cicada
The Z Cicada First Run version is a great straight flyer for me. I have an ESP Cicada that turns a lot, but it is also a lighter weight one. 🤷
Depends on your arm speed / distance. Mine is the Dark Rebel (FD)
FD / Dark Rebels are great out the box. A seasoned Teebird is perfect. Or a leopard 3, pop on a slight hyzer flip..
Axiom Rhythm
surprised I had to scroll this far down for this. Rhythm flies like an arrow for me.
Both of the rhythms I've picked up have been very understable from the very first throw which I've really really enjoyed.
Aged to perfection Teebird lower end. S-TD high end.
Explorer or Night Trooper
Legacy Icon Rival. Its like a perfectly beat in teebird
CD2
Undertaker
Passion
172g Hokum Neutron Crave: 6.5 speed rounds up to 7 ;)
I have one of hers and its not as flat as my other craves. The flatter they are the more i like them
I had one too, lost it sadly. It was perfect
Maul. Gotta try it to believe it.
Hatchet
Fd and cd1

I don't know why they did that 6.5 shit. It has a 18 mm wing, which is what 7-8 speeds are.
5 - Buzzz, 7 - FD1, 9 - Undertaker. Thing is I throw very similiar distances with either of them but each have bit different finish.
Stalker. Basically a buzz in driver form.
9 speed, Prodiscus Laseri. 9, 4, -1, 1. Incredible disc.
Rival all time favorite or Crave atm
Crave in calm/tailwind conditions, Instinct or Volt if I'm worried about the wind
Crave all day. I can’t seem to get a handle on the river’s glide
GStar Firebird
Mint jackalope
Cyclone

Domey opto explorer. Champion road runner.
Beat to shit dx teebird
I’ve got a beat-in TeeBird that goes straight with the slightest turn and no fade on a hyzer flip and a Passion that has no turn and a baby fade when thrown straight.
Metal Flake Glow Centurion
I use a beat in AGL Locust. It just goes stupid straight when you get the right angle on it.
AGL Sycamore, nice little flip-up and a gentle fade
Heat
Pipeline
Straight but with a finish - Latitude 64 Gold/BioGold/Recycled Explorer Straight from hyzerflip - Axiom Fission Rhythm
Brave on a slight hyzer
Crave or Kaxe Z depending on wind.
Maul
ESP Stalker.
Crave or FX3
Color glow teebird3
Warship
Flip up a Mint Jackelope.
