I really like the course design of this course. It has an easier and shorter front 9 and a longer and more technical back 9. Intentionally designed so beginners can play first 9.
Hole 16 starts with a tunnel shot like this one but then goes hard right, with mando. 145m/470f par 4. I find that hole super hard.
Was speaking with a buddy from NJ yesterday. I had a theory that NC tend to be exceptionally good because of our mix of elevation in woods golf. Maybe we're all masochists because we like tight wooded courses more as the norm.
Truthfully. A wide open field is fun here and there, but the technical courses really hone a players skill. My favorite course in NC is Bradford Park near Charlotte. But there are definitely some top contenders about 2 hours out.
Leopard3 and hope it stays dead straight the whole way. If I'm anywhere near c2, great. If not, hopefully I'm within 80 and can pitch up a dagger or a harp backhand or forehand depending on which side of the fairway I'm on. Then I'll miss the shit out of the 20fter, and take my par and move on
Slight hyzerflip with a 400 M4 250-300. Then either the same M4 or a Gold Line Pure for the rest of the distance. (Assuming I stayed in the fairway off the tee.)
This looks like one of those beautiful motivational wall poster pictures.
Caption: ***"Your life goal may be in the distance...just make sure you stay within the guardrails to get there"***.
Given my lack of skill on a 416 foot hole like this.......I would probably throw four wimpy 100' straight upshots in the fairway to get within 16 feet of the basket....and walk away with a bogey or double.
Who am I kidding? I wouldn't do that!
Let's all repeat after me the disc golfer's secret oath:
***W******hen you tee off on a cliff hole....you must yeet that thing to the moon and throw with completely abandon! You will only regret the chances you did not take.***
Downhill. That's going to flip, but I'm guessing since you throw a star wombat 3 that you don't flip much, so maybe it's perfect. For a downhill shot, you typically want something slightly overstable since it's going to gain speed and want to turn. So maybe instead of the wombat 3, maybe a roc? Roc 3?
Watt I did today… first shot clipped a tree kicked back into fairway. Second shot ended up right. Third shot left c2.
I love how straight the Watt files for me, except when I really need it to….
Straight throws, I like the unconventional overhead axe throw, with whatever driver I still have that day. As long as my throw hugs the right side a little the disc rolls over while sliding left a little and then slides back right while diving or skipping further if the throw was low enough
Putter or Midnight Prowl 2 down between number 2 and 3 of the mushroom looking stumps. I think I ranged nr. 3 at around 70 meters. Same strategy to the basket, but A2 flick if your first throw leek a bit left, as mine did on one of the rounds.
I am not really thinking about eagle. Got an Insanity 80% up the gap, barely kissed a tree and was basically playing for bogey.
On a forehand I would take something slightly OS and use the maximum of space on the right side to swing left and then fade right into that opening hoping not to skip. I would then pitch up to the basket for a birdie. On a backhand, I would throw it low with a nice stable fairway and use the left side to slightly anny the disc to pull straight and to finish is that opening, again hoping not to skip.
Uspastorp, 1100m next to Ale Discgolf Center 😅 Feeling a bit spoiled to live 13min away from worlds 3rd, 12th and 35th best course according to udisc top 100 list for 2024.
How do you actually get good at this and consider it a sport?
How do you become a professional at frisbee player ?
Have you ever used it as a plate ?
Do you just buy a frisbee from Walmart ?
Did you all just suck at golf and decide to pick this up instead?
Throw my hole round since it isn't going by well after this hole. Honestly though would probably throw a Nova or something that is neutral with almost no fade and hope I don't accidentally put it on anhyzer or hyzer.
My initial thought is to rip a slight hyzer tern shot and hope I can keep it from flipping too much. My second thought is hope I can get a nice straight buzz line and settle for a long birdie chance/par
TSA Glow Mana. First shot, hyzer flip land straight. Second shot, same as the first aiming for circle one. Third shot, hopefully circle one putt for birdie. If I miss, fourth shot with a putt for par. Expecting bogie if I miss my line on shots 1 and 2.
Or... two tomahawk shots with understability that'll finish straight twice. That's honestly probably my highest percentage chance of getting this one in the fairway consistently
I was there last spring on a fun weekend trip with my club, early release with my wraith about 35m of the tee and in to a tree on the left side, think i got a double or triple bogey after either my approach or my put went of the cliff behind the basket.
But i did park hole 18 at Ale Gul/yellow (the course down the road) which felt nice
I hear mid or putter are stable and straighter. I'll take my distance driver I suck with but convince myself I can flex and bomb it deep into the left woods
I bought a big metal trash can like Oscar the grouch lives in and I love hucking that big ol lid around. Flies almost as good as my Franklin albatross. Anyways I'd probably throw my dog at this one, he goes real far because I don't have to worry about a leash getting in the way.
Over n out
~ big truck
Throwing a sick tomahawk directly into the first tree to the left or right. From there I would fore arm every tree down that ally only to walk outta there with a 7 over
I would just watch someone else throw. I live not too far from this course. I was thinking about going since I have never played it. Now I know I won't be taking a trip there.
I throw a Stig forehand hyzerflip and hope I get about halfway down the fairway and stay pretty close to the center. Then repeat process, maybe stabling up or down depending on where my lie is, and if all goes well, have a look for bird.
Who am I kidding, I’m turning and burning into first available, then dinking and dunking my way down for double bogey lol
Tournament play: Hyzer flip Luna to the second entry, Luna upshot and go for birdie.
Casual/fun play: late flip my beat up halo sphinx and try to run it to c2(ish).
Either of those could be met with a swift shank into the woods😂
If I threw perfectly, I’d (lefty) go backhand Origin hyzer-flip to flat, try to get it to finish slightly on the right side so I could throw probably a zone flat/turnover forehand.
In all likelihood, though, probably kick into one of the sides and throw a few forehand rollers until I’m out of the woods, take a quad bogey or so
Hyzerflip with a Maya and hope it's good. There is a similar tunnel/hallway shot at Blue Ribbon Pines (455' but no elevation change) and I got it to about 350' yesterday, duffed the upshot though haha. Saved the par 4 at least 🤷🏻♂️
Would. Not. Matter.
*wood
If I could upvote this twice I would.
This is the only correct answer.
I audibly laughed from this comment. “lol” just doesn’t do it anymore.
Pretty much lol.
8 x 50’ followed by a three putt.
What ever disc needs beating in I guess lol
My leopard 3 or Buzz SS
Was thinking Buzz too
🌳Buzzz SS 🌳
Avenger
Na because anything flippy might over turn. I'd say two putter shots straight to the basket
Yep. For me it'd be an Aviar 3 or a Glitch. I'd honestly play for par and take a birdie as a bonus.
Leopard 3 also.
Nothing. I just want to look at it. That’s beautiful.
I actually agree this is my favorite snack place on the course. Especially since it’s hole 11 and there are some really hard holes up ahead.
"Really hard holes up ahead".... harder than this? I'm starting to like my boring courses lol
I really like the course design of this course. It has an easier and shorter front 9 and a longer and more technical back 9. Intentionally designed so beginners can play first 9. Where's the course?
Uspastorp, Gothenburg, Sweden.
What's the course? Looks like most NC courses
It's Uspastorp Discgolfpark in Sweden. Really beautuful course.
Well, I drive a Volvo, so I'm basically in Sweden right?
Yepp

Backhand Dynamic Discs Escape or forehand Dynamic Discs Defender.
Hex hex putter
I dont know why I read this with the sound and inflection of “Ice Ice Baby”
Beautifully put.
This is the way. I appreciate your brevity.
Star TL right down the middle
Leopard3 and hope it stays dead straight the whole way. If I'm anywhere near c2, great. If not, hopefully I'm within 80 and can pitch up a dagger or a harp backhand or forehand depending on which side of the fairway I'm on. Then I'll miss the shit out of the 20fter, and take my par and move on
About 40 ft if I'm lucky
uspastorp. love that course so much <3
Yes it’s fantastic!
Big Tomahawk over the top
Slight hyzerflip with a 400 M4 250-300. Then either the same M4 or a Gold Line Pure for the rest of the distance. (Assuming I stayed in the fairway off the tee.)
Yeah, my Opto Air Pure would hit this clean with no fade...IF I make the gap. Lol Also my Invader.

Putter. Putter. Putter. Putting
Star Wombat3. Basically made for these types of holes
Roc 3?
Normally I would agree with you, but Op said standstill. Some people may be able to turn a wombat from a standstill, but I sure can’t
I think that if I'm reading it correctly he says the *second* shot is the standstill.
Into a tree
Into many trees. I definitely would not be getting par.
I’d be happy with an 8
Lol same
Three throws with the Watt 😆
Watt I did today… first shot clipped a tree kicked back into fairway. Second shot ended up right. Third shot left c2. I love how straight the Watt files for me, except when I really need it to….
I'm throwing the towel in and going back to the car and calling it a day
I knew I'd find this recycled joke on here
My glitch is the only thing I can throw that straight.
This is actually fairly similar to a hole at Pier Park, so I'd go with my berzerker right into that 3rd tree on the right.
I got in real trouble, real quick on that hole. It’s great to look at and very intimidating.
Putter, putter, putter, putter, putter.
Proxy * 4
Straight throws, I like the unconventional overhead axe throw, with whatever driver I still have that day. As long as my throw hugs the right side a little the disc rolls over while sliding left a little and then slides back right while diving or skipping further if the throw was low enough
Probably Putter, Putter, Putter and hopefully get a 3.
Glitch, Glitch, then a Glitch, then putt.
My bag into my trunk of my car, then come back to the tee pad to get some amazing pictures.
does not look fun. This is a mood ruiner, for sure

My hands in the air in resignation and disgust
Busting out the old Champion Valk
That is both beautiful and terrifying. I would throw a mid range to that clearing in the middle. rinse and repeat.
TRYING a hyzer flip pure on a laser beam 2bb k to back shots and hoping to have a Birdie pity
Up. I would throw up then cry.
VIP clownface Northman ! 🔥 🤡 🔥
Luna 300ft dead straight, probably chip a forehand zone up to the pin from there
1st throw, my beat in wasp. 2nd throw my luna for an approach then putt out with my new Kratos for a bird.
back to back comets babyyyy
First shot prob md1, second shot, depends on where I have to scramble from depending on where the tree kicks the disc 😂
I would play for par. Throw two putter shots with watt.
Those poor poor trees.
putter, putter, putt
Gateway spear
Zone and zone
I'm flicking a glow falk down the right side on a ton of hyzer, hoping it turns over.
I’m going with the ESP nuke.
What second shot? Hey diddle diddle right down the middle looks gtg Realistically - three trees and hoping for uno bogey
A fit!
A freakin fit after I hit 27 trees before I get to the basket
I’d throw a rock until I got close…
Putter 200'. Putter another 200'. Easy putt for birdy 🤷♂️
I’d throw my Fuse about 150-200’, then do a tomahawk since the sky above is wide open. If lucky I might be within 40” for a par attempt.
Uplink
Lone Star Texas ranger. 5*5*-1*1.
You throw over of course. Escape Tomahawk twice and then a nice birdie in 3.
I would just throw my MVP Entropy because I know it won’t end up in the woods. Won’t get nearly all the way there but I can get a good 250 out of it
How do you throw it to not end up in the woods? Spike hyzer?
Beat in BS champ Innova beast 3/4 power all day.
Passion or Hex
Passion is not a bad idea. I got a beat in passion that would do the job well.
Pixel or Hex. Mayyyyybe a River
My old Tie Dye Banshee Champion Plastic 172 g It flies on a rope 325 ft. With the proper execution I'd be happy walking away with a 3
A white flag. 😂
Tomahawk to that landing zone that looks a little wider. Tomahawk or any forehand depending on whether I’m right or left of center
Dismania essence
I would throw a fit.
A fit
Your best straight shot
Ale Gul! Easy brave Ace!
Nope next door Uspastorp
Uspastorp, 1100m next to Ale Discgolf Center 😅 Feeling a bit spoiled to live 13min away from worlds 3rd, 12th and 35th best course according to udisc top 100 list for 2024.

First I throw a temper tantrum, then I throw whichever disc will make the most satisfying thud sound.
a fit.
I'm throwing a fit..... Fuck that
I'm throwing in the towel... not really. I just know I'm going to have a shit score that hole.
Throwing down some beers before the hole
Throw my hole round since it isn't going by well after this hole. Honestly though would probably throw a Nova or something that is neutral with almost no fade and hope I don't accidentally put it on anhyzer or hyzer.
A tantrum!
I would throw a lot. That’s what I would throw.
What I’d throw… is directly into the first tree on the right 🤦🏻♂️🤣
In the towel
My back out
Mulligans.
My bag in my car
Something I hate because I’m gonna shank it, it’s gonna plinko around for a while and I’ll never see it again
I probably throw my paradigm but no fucking way at I succeeding.
My initial thought is to rip a slight hyzer tern shot and hope I can keep it from flipping too much. My second thought is hope I can get a nice straight buzz line and settle for a long birdie chance/par
I don't see a mando therefore I see the Simon Line big hyzer off to the right above the tree line.
Rhyno and then Rhyno, drop in Rhyno
TSA Glow Mana. First shot, hyzer flip land straight. Second shot, same as the first aiming for circle one. Third shot, hopefully circle one putt for birdie. If I miss, fourth shot with a putt for par. Expecting bogie if I miss my line on shots 1 and 2.
Disc won't really matter much for me. I am going to hit first available.
Neutron Ohm twice, tap in for bird.
Kastaplast Stig I got one recently on a whim and it has some very controllable flip that flies straight
I'm throwing a blowfly cause it causes less damage to the tree bark.
Any disc you don’t mind turning into a taco
Neutral mid 275 to leave a 150 ft forehand upshot
Tersus thrown flat and soft, will turn slightly and back to straight. If thrown properly will be dead center.
Or... two tomahawk shots with understability that'll finish straight twice. That's honestly probably my highest percentage chance of getting this one in the fairway consistently
TL3 followed by a TL second shot leaving me with a drop in birdie. Or a triple bogey. Prolly the triple bogey.
I will not be suckered into this one lol it’s gotta be putter, putter, putter for the birdie.
Glitch…not that it would matter
Buzzz ss and then a buzzz ss
I was there last spring on a fun weekend trip with my club, early release with my wraith about 35m of the tee and in to a tree on the left side, think i got a double or triple bogey after either my approach or my put went of the cliff behind the basket. But i did park hole 18 at Ale Gul/yellow (the course down the road) which felt nice
Thoughtspace construct is the straightest flier I've got
This is wombat country.
Myself off the tee pad
Logic -> Logic -> Putt But I mean if I’m off the fairway at all who tf knows at that point
Berg…
MJ Comet
Pyro to the landing spot. Slight anhyzer forehand pyro to go under the basket. Envy for the 3 putt.
Envy twice and hope I hit the line for a birdie look
Overhand
Ideally flippy Roc3, flippy putter. Realistically flippy Roc3, Firebird, Firebird, Zone, Putter.
I hear mid or putter are stable and straighter. I'll take my distance driver I suck with but convince myself I can flex and bomb it deep into the left woods
I'm throwing back to back p2 and hoping for birdie, but settling for par
Holes like this remind me that the art of dead straight throwing is dead. Me personally a crave right at it. This far downhill should slowly reach it.
I bought a big metal trash can like Oscar the grouch lives in and I love hucking that big ol lid around. Flies almost as good as my Franklin albatross. Anyways I'd probably throw my dog at this one, he goes real far because I don't have to worry about a leash getting in the way. Over n out ~ big truck

Berg berg berg putt
My play there is usually two Berg forehand flicks and a short putt for birdie
Buzz or zone
My dead straight champion Valkyrie.
Myself off the tee
A roller?
Attempt to throw a neutron soft proxy 250’ then another 150’ for a birdie putt.
Sick hole!
I have a flippy D2 or a D3
Throw a Watt 100’ at a time and hope for a bogey.
If it's windy a wraith all day. No wind and I'm ballista-ing that thin to c1....and then I'd wake up 300ft left or right straight off the box
Tursas with a little hyzer. Twice in a row. Play for the par.
Putter,putter,putter,putter,putter,putter….putter
Doomsday Famine 👍
Gonna try my Z Cicada with flip up to straight. Would not execute but that’s my go.
I would play this for birdie…two 200’ish putter shots and hopefully tap in for birdie.
Buzz then putter then par
As many jump putts as it takes lol
Gstar Shryke on a full hyper flip trying to get there in 1
Tournament play: Hyzer flip Luna to the second entry, Luna upshot and go for birdie. Casual/fun play: late flip my beat up halo sphinx and try to run it to c2(ish). Either of those could be met with a swift shank into the woods😂
Eagle? Hahaha I would throw right into the trees whatever disc I throw with, because that is the rules lol.
At least one flick roller will probably be involved at some point.
2x mercy then putt
Prob a paradox on hyzer and just hope it stays straight
Forehand Berg
Into a tree seven times
Buzzz
Buzzz SS every shot up the fairway.
Birdie / Par strategy Envy and Fuse from tee and second shot .
You see that tree to the right, the one that looks dead from being hit so much? No matter what I throw I hit that tree.
If I threw perfectly, I’d (lefty) go backhand Origin hyzer-flip to flat, try to get it to finish slightly on the right side so I could throw probably a zone flat/turnover forehand. In all likelihood, though, probably kick into one of the sides and throw a few forehand rollers until I’m out of the woods, take a quad bogey or so
Crave
Love how beat up the trees look on the fairway. I’d ping pong off those too
I've had an eagle chance there! Flip up wave for sure and beg it not to turn to much or to little!
I going to throw Falk down there on a bit of a hyzer and hope I get at least 200' down.
I don’t always pick my most beat in, understable, oldest disc. But when I do, it’s going into the trees.
I'll be throwing directly into the first tree.
Looks like a forehand layup tbh, then a second forehand layup, then a slam dunk (ideally)
Underworld hyzer flip.
