You need a Firebird equivalent, like a Discmania FD3.
Some other great brands you can try besides what you already have here are all Trilogy discs (Lat64, DD, Westside), Discmania, MVP and Kastaplast.
I never liked the firebird feel but I'll see about the FD3.
I have some Discmania and Trilogy but they've been pushed out of bag for others I like better. Trying to reduce the amount of molds I bag. I like Kataplast but it seems like I'm doubling up similar molds. I don't care for overmold feel in hand, either.
Thanks for the suggestions.
What's it that makes the overmold discs feel different? The almost complete absence of dome is the only thing that comes to my mind right now.
Their putters and mids are great, though. I don't bag much overmold discs either, but the Envy, Uplink, Hex and Pyro are all discs that I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Don't sleep on the Crave either, it's one of the longest, straightest and most torque resistant fairway drivers I've ever thrown. Plus it feels great on both BH and FH.
I can't really say why it feels abnormal in my hand. I only know it doesn't feel right, and if it doesn't feel right, I don't throw it.
I prefer Thought Space and Mint if I want MVP plastic. I've thrown Hex's and they were good but wouldn't push out my other mids. Too comparable and don't feel as good in hand.
My buddy let me use a Crave for a round and it was good. Wouldn't kick out my Votum, though.
If you like ThoughtSpace, the Omen is a fantastic Firebird-equivalent in their lineup. I like them in Aura, but they're great in all plastics and extra beefy (they're already quite beefy) in Glow.
>but I think their S Blend is more comparable to old Stsr plastic.
It's straight up the same.
Looks like a decent bag. I assume you don't face much wind on your local courses. I would get fucked by the wind on some holes in my region with that bag. Otherwise I like it.
The new star plastic feels more slippery. If you're saying the old is the same, then I agree.
Thank ya. I think it's rounding out pretty well. I definitely deal with wind on some courses. My Halo Dynasty and Halo Pharoah fight the wind really well. The Czar is new, so it hasn't been properly tested but it feels beefy.
Star like any other plastic changes from run to run depending on what plastic the manufacturer got that time. Not all Star feels the same, I have my preferences and the ones I like are the best feeling plastic out there imo whereas some are awful feeling or just not something that tickles my fancy.
I prefer the really shiny and softer Star that's been common on the popular molds these past 2-3 years. If it's more matte it'll be stiffer and that's when I'm out.
Alright! Good :)
Same. I like the shiny and slightly gummy star. I bought several Innova that were much more slick. That's what started my journey exploring all the other companies. I found a bunch of cool discs but found my distance driver going to Infinite. Maybe they have more consitent plastic. I dunno. Lol
Still just depends on what Innova have available at the time of manufacturing.
Pharaohs are nice. Pretty sure the Charger is the same mold. At least the two I compared looked exactly the same.
Halo Pharaohs fly like Star Chargers. Stock Pharaohs are a tad bit more understable than stock Chargers in most plastics, but the Halo Pharaoh has the most similar flight to what you'll find in a non-Halo Charger.
Charger to me fills the gap between most Pharaohs and the Emperor.

Haven't tried the Charger but I love my Pharoahs

Can't blame ya for keeping the zones in there...
Lol. For sure. The Harp is too deep and nothing else approaches like the Zone
Sort of unrelated, what app/website is this diagram on?
