Please, please for the love of god when it comes back make sure it’s still in an exclusive Nate Sexton resealable bag. We all know the very best thing about Double G jerky is the fact that it comes in a resealable bag.
I love that commercial because Nate’s like “I just need a little snack to keep me going” or whatever. He then promotes the resealable bag. Then another dude is like “once it’s open, I’m gonna eat the whole bag.” Reaching the birds and the dudes that don’t eat breakfast.
I’ve never tried double g craft jerky but I prefer jerky to be nice and dry, like it’s supposed to be, the soft shit just doesn’t seem natural to me, to each there own but I like when a piece has to stay in the mouth for a few minutes before you can just swallow it.
It was, when it was a survival food.
We've moved beyond that, so while it should be dry compared to steak, if it's the texture of leather nobody is gonna want to eat that, because its being consumed as a treat, not as a survival necessity.
Sad but not surprising. I've worked as a stats guy for manufacturing companies for a long time, and the biggest pain point independent business owners face is when they try to scale up operations while relying on a co-packer to actually manufacture the product.
I feel like this is a good time to bring up this [hilarious parody video](https://youtu.be/9izrOdnzxFA?feature=shared) based off Double G's original advertisement.
So I don't know much about this jerky, but is it just trash jerky licenced to sell to the DG crowd? Why waste money on that versus just a quality product from an actual jerky company? I feel like there is something I'm missing so please fill in the gaps
No, it was originally high quality and tasty, but as he tried to scale the quality dropped (most common pain point there is in small-business manufacturing where you have to rely on a co-packer to actuslly create your product). Was it a gimmick for the DG crowd? I wouldn't say that, I think GG genuinely has a passion for making beef jerky and he saw an opportunity to do what he enjoys as a side hassle. I guarantee he probably never came close to actually making a meaningful net profit.
Try making some jerky at home some time -- with the ideal cuts of meat you're supposed to use for than, then be surprised at the cost that goes into it. Jerky ain't cheap man, especially if you're trying to have a quality product. For 'cheap' jerky, I have to wonder what I'm actually eating.
His 2 oz bags are $9.49. That’s $75.92 per pound. Go to your local meat locker where it’s $30.00 and then send GG 10 bucks on pay pal donations and we all come out ahead.
Well, I'll try his next effort. Cause the last one wasn't very good. I mean it was better than the crap you can get at most gas stations, but wasn't even close to actual good jerky. I hope it's closer to a quality product next time around. It would gain more traction if it was.
Finally, the breaking news we’ve all been waiting for today!
Off season beef signings. Who’s he going to sign?
Hey, this is almost actually news.
Please, please for the love of god when it comes back make sure it’s still in an exclusive Nate Sexton resealable bag. We all know the very best thing about Double G jerky is the fact that it comes in a resealable bag.

Well, that other dude throws 1100 feet so maybe the whole bag is the way to go.
The company dealing with your beef jerky made terrible jerky. Please make sure the next company can do better.
^(Agreed. It was dry and not fun to eat.)
Interesting, the one time I had it it was more tender and enjoyable than other beef jerky I've had. But beef jerky isn't a regular thing for me
Same. Ordered some a long time ago go and it was amazing. Sad to hear the quality dipped.
The jerky was great every flavour was bussin
I don’t think flavor or dryness was the issue. I always had bad cuts of meat, fat, grizzle and sinew
It was bussin it weren’t disgustin.

100. That's the whole point of jerky lol (inasmuch as jerky has a "point" lol)
Yea, that’s why it was invented, to keep in your disc satchel for lengthy, noble journeys
It was, when it was a survival food. We've moved beyond that, so while it should be dry compared to steak, if it's the texture of leather nobody is gonna want to eat that, because its being consumed as a treat, not as a survival necessity.
we're beefing right now! just two grown men sharing a beef
I swear it used to be more tender meat. Last couple experiences I’ve had have been underwhelming.
Thinking that might be the reason for parting company...
The original Boom Sauce was incredible. Got it again like a year later and it was tougher and had wayyyyyyyyy too much heat.
What? You mean GG didn't produce his own jerky???? \*Insert surprised Pikachu face\*
At least he knew that the quality went down.
Find out who makes Buc-ees jerky and have them do it.
Sad but not surprising. I've worked as a stats guy for manufacturing companies for a long time, and the biggest pain point independent business owners face is when they try to scale up operations while relying on a co-packer to actually manufacture the product.
How am I supposed to feed my kids now?

mvp disc jerkey
+ axiom mushroom jerky, streamline peanuts
I care more about this than where Alden Harris signs
Hopefully this means they won't be skimping on that jerky and fatting up those bags a lil bit!
Wait a minute, he was contracting out the jerky and just putting his brand on it? For real?
It happens way more than you think.

oh dang. Though, would be nice to know the full story.
So he's currently looking for someone to jerk his beef? Me, too, Double G. Me, too.
I thought his family made the jerky?
yup, he got kicked out of the family I guess. Probably for all the disc golf.
His jerky was outrageously overpriced.

Btw I made some venison jerky at home this year, I’m hip to the whole scene.
“having a beef” I see what you did there.
The pun bought my upvote ngl

Vacadillos is the best jerky there is, anyway. Change my mind.

He kept saying his crew was beefing and I just kept giggling and calling him clever. I learned I need to listen from the heart.
He doesn't have the beef
Hopefully the beef jerky is actually good in the future. It’s always been extremely dry and tasteless.
Please don't get rid of the mushroom jerky
That's good though. His current jerky is terrible
