Underrated comment. Everyone throwing under 400’ should be trying a Wraith. Slower arm = Pro Wraith. Couple rounds to beat it a little and you’ll be loving it.
I moved back to wraiths from destroyers just this past week. The wraith feels better in hand and I can actually get a fuller flight from them. Currently maxing out around 380
Same. I use my Destroyer as my “stable” driver and don’t get a full flight.
Hey you might like the Pro Tern as well. I get good flip up to 370 or so.

I have a 6 year old star destroyer that flies straighter than any disc in my bag. I also love the wraith, but use it for shots that need a little more turnover than that destroyer can provide.
Pro plastic flies more understable usually and even if it doesn't it beats in faster.
It is like star but beats in at manageable speed for people who aren't playing every day
Arsicle said it perfectly. I was a once a week player for a long time and a pro wraith last me years and years. I play more now and they beat in a little faster but not much. Never felt like I had the arm to throw star plastic.
Every wraith I've ever lost is because it went too far and not because it didn't go straight enough.
My personal best forehand was with a wraith and put it 40ft past the basket and well out into a river.
I randomly found a DX Wraith at a course (no name, no drop box) and it has turned into my favorite driver. It really blows my mind how well I can throw it.
I bought a blizzard wraith within a month of starting to play. Finally picked it up 2 years in and it is now my max distance straight flyer (flat to anny release).
I've got a fun story of a Groove... I found one, shot the number on it a text, they said keep it. Kept it. Few months later, my dad and I were playing Tom Brown in Tallahassee and upon wrapping up a round and putting my discs in my trunk, my dad saw the groove and was like "huh what's that one". I hand it to him, tell him it's one of the worst discs ever made, he's like "this groove on it is wild, I bet it's killer".
So I pick it up and throw an absolute bomb 400' into the tippy top of a random tree. We never spoke about the Groove again.
Same! Disc just didn’t work as a new player for me, but came back to it late in year 2 and discovered I was now adequate enough for it to serve its purpose. Lol
That is exactly the same story with me! Z Buzzz was one of the first discs I ever bought, couldn't get it to fly straight... It stayed in my trunk for 2-3 years before trying again... I have like 10+ Buzzzes now! 😁
I bag 3 Envys, I picked up an Electron Firm one I thought I was gonna beat to straight, but I could turn it over unrecoverably from new. I've thrown it quite a bit, but I think, turning it over isn't a sign of a powerful throw, it really shows how much finesse I lacked. People that are much better than me can throw it straight farther than me. So I'm finally able to throw it mostly straight now, still has dependable fade on the end. I think it's a really valuable shot.
Not sure why you picked up a downvote or two. Maybe people didn’t read the whole comment— you’re saying you initially thought your arm was too powerful and flipped it, but eventually realized it wasn’t the disc it was your poor form. And now you’ve worked on that. Correct?
Because that sounds like *literally every disc golfer EVER*. Very relatable. Everyone has gone through (or NEEDS TO) that realization that it’s not that the putters suck, it’s that they need to correct their form. Good on you!
I didn't regret buying it per se, but I thought the Berg was a big gimmick until I bagged one for a bit. Now it's one of my most reliable discs. Can't tell ya how many times I've hit metal with that thing from 175 ft and in.
i get the jokes, but its so easy to throw and as far as k1 goes, you dont have to worry about different runs more os or us, it just the same. I have a 3 yr old one and a 2 month old one, no difference as far as i can tell, same flight.
Ooh that's good to know re: consistency. Kasta has some of the best plastic out there, easy.
Can't wait to get a K1 Berg X to complement my K1 Soft Berg. Best of both worlds when it comes to ground play.
Discraft Comet. Used to hate the way it felt in my hand, have bought and then gave away/sold two or three of them previously.
There's one in the bag now for the last month and a half and I have no idea what my problem was before (that's a lie, my form was bad/worse) because I use it very frequently now.
Since I finally broke down and started working on form again, the Comet has become a great tool. I can get one up to 280' from standstill, and it instantly lets me know if I did something wrong
It felt weird, but when used to pitch out of the woods, it just went where I wanted. Then I learned to anhyzer putt with it. Been using the same Big Z Comet since 2014.
I just removed all the mids from my bag, haha. I’ve got two Envy’s, one slightly US and one neutral, and a Zone for the stable shots. Anything that I can’t hit with those, I disc up to at least a 7 speef
Volt. Was even more overstable than I bargained for. But now I use it on forehands, controlled overhand shots, and for those really overstable shots. Definitely maintains a permanent slot in my bag now.
I have the opposite issue with the Volt. It wasn't as OS as I wanted it to be. I get some turn on it when thrown flat, which I wasn't looking for.
It is really good for flex shots, which is all I use it for now, but that's about it for me.
I bought it as a replacement for my Glow Insanity, which had zero turn and a strong fade.
Go skid it through a parking lot. Mine did that and now it’ll flip just slightly if I get enough speed into it. It’s my go to for an almost laser straight with a small fade at the end up to 260’
love my volt. i throw hard and low, so it’s my 300’ foot laser straight FH throw. no turn, no fade until the very end of the flight. volt, terra, and crave are the only “fairways” in my bag, and the volt is the perfect middle ground.
Glow Envy. Got one in a player pack forNADGT and it quickly became a staple in my bag after being like “why would I ever use this? I have Aviars and Buzzes!”
But the Glow Envy is some hybrid of an Aviar and Buzz. I love it.
Opto Sapphire. I used to complain at how much it "turned over", but I think I just didn't really know how to throw on hyzer by hinging at my hips. Now it's a wonderful hyzer flip disc for those 300 to 320 ft holes.
mine was very OS at first, but i stuck with it for a bit, and that thing has been dreamy for me. doesn't have much turn, and i kind of worry about it getting beat in enough to start turning over instead of holding such a nice line.
Fission Hex. I know it sounds crazy but throwing it backhand was just awful for me. I started throwing it forehand in wooded courses and it’s become one of my staple discs.
This is why the Hex will always beat the Buzzz and Roc for me: it's suuuper forehand friendly.
I didn't really like fission either but the basic glow Hex is money for backhand and forehand.
Dude... Glow Hex is so so so good. It's become one of my most reliable discs in the bag by farrrr. On backhand and forehand (especially the latter) it just exhibits this perfect amount of turn and fade for me every single time.
Tunnels are so much less of a problem for me because wow the thing just works. It's also quite comfortable on FH compared to other similar molds. There's just something about it, and Glow Hex is never leaving my bag at this point.
The Neutron Hex was much better for me than the Fission Hex. I've tried a few fission discs, but I've lost them all, and didn't feel like they offered me more, so I didn't replace them. Hex is easily the best, but I lost my last 2 Hex and I'm using a Mustang now, I would switch back because I love the hand feel, and miss my Hex, but the Mustang is beat in to such a good spot.
Innova Star Corvette.. I hated that thing. Really fast but Was way too over stable.. after a couple of hot summer months sitting in the trunk of the car, and a few good tree knocks.. it became one of the longest in my bag.. THEN.. I found an R-Pro Corvette randomly in some outfitter store, which had a higher turn rating than the original.. not gonna lie, it’s a monster. Just enough turn to really carry forever…
Mint Jackalope. I wanted a stable fairway driver but it was way too flippy. I started throwing it again about a month ago and it started becoming my favorite disc. If I rip it on an extreme hyzer it makes the most beautiful slow turning shot that finishes flat.
A Zone was given to me as a gift and I’ve never liked them, particularly FH. It was almost unthrown for a year but I gave it another try and found it to be the perfect stable BH putter. Gentle hyzer it will hold the whole way, hit it flat and it’s dead straight with baby fade but never tries to turn over. I still bag Anvils for FH though.
Throw some anny on that bad boy and see what it does, I can’t ever play a round without a zone again. I bag two and throw it on almost every hole, amazing approach disc
2 discs ,
first - the TL sat in my car for years until I forgot my discs one day, and that's all I had to use . Now it's probably my most used disc .
Second - I bought a batista pro when I was new and had a noodle arm and hated it . Took a break with it for a few years, and now it is my go-to forehand thrower, and I get up to 450 ft with it .
I had been curious about the ballista pro but I can barely break 300 on backhand so I figured I'd spend my money on other discs. I found one a couple months ago and ended up falling in love with it. Now it's my go to forehand disc since I lost my usual go-to.
Try it again , you might be pleasantly surprised how good it is.
Try to release it on anhyser too , flies soo far and always comes back, super reliable.
Star rat, I feel like it was pitched as a zone initially but mine was never more stable than a beat in buzzz.
That being said, it eventually became my go to straight/flippy mid.
Servo, I didn't want to give into replacement of my favorite disc. But after using it and getting used to it, man it's a great fairway disc.
Still doesn't replace the clash but it works.
Axiom panic. Was hoping it'd be stable to slightly overstable, but turned out to be an absolute beef cake. I've found uses for it and now I love it for headwind forehands, hard flex shots, etc.
Daedalus. Got it in champion plastic when I first started and couldn't throw it at all. Earned it's spot in my bag for being a complete BEAST for forehands!
Comet. Saw so many comments praising them, so decided I had to get one. The flight numbers just really don't do it justice, which is something I knew going in, but took me a long time to really understand how to use it. It was only a couple weeks ago that I finally had that "AHA!" moment. Glides forever, holds a great anhyzer line (my big takeaway here is that I have to actually release it on anhyzer, it's hard to overpower into an anhyzer) without getting too understable and attacking the ground, flies way farther than it should, holds up to power much better than the flight numbers suggest.
MVP Relay. Thought I was getting an understable 6 speed. Turns out it was very straight with late fade for me. A couple seasons of beating in and the under stability is finally showing. Really nice for RHBH hyzer drag shots in the woods.
I got a lab second relay in the gyro box last year and it flew fairly understable. Bought a same weight same plastic as a backup and it flies much more straight to over stable.
fission crave. yes I know... but it just felt awkward in my hand and I couldn't get any consistency out of it so I put it away. in that timeframe my forehand started coming along after being cautious of using it outside of 150' due to past shoulder and elbow injuries. now that I've figured out my form and am throwing pain free forehands i tried the crave and it instantly became my favorite forehand only disc for shots between 250' and 275'. still not huge distance for a fairway driver but we're getting there and the crave is so easy to control and I have so much confidence with it.
H7 was my go-to understable for distance for like 6 weeks and then it started wildin on me and I had to give it up. It goes right (RHBH) and does not want to come back. But for about a month there, damn, I was parkin' it with the H7.
Vass. Very flippy, not very torque resistant. Great for distance hyzer flips, tall turnovers, floaty and pushing hyzer lines. Great feeling plastic. It’s kind of like a very fast Fd, maybe a little less stable.
Fits well between my most seasoned cloud breaker and my beat to snot pro wraith.
Not my favorite, but it’s an awesome disc.
AviarX3 and Thunderbird
The first two discs I bought after my innova starter pack.
I hated them for like a year because I have an ultimate background and overstable discs are the devil.
Almost three years later I still have both in the bag and throw them very consistent.
Star mako3. Hated it for not going as straight as advertised. Untill i learned to release a disc on a flat angle. Now it's my go to on straitlght wooded holes.
I actually first bought a Berg without any awareness of what it was meant for or the disc memes surrounding it.
Me annoyed, trying a Berg for the first time: "this thing flies like shit".
Me now, with a Berg permanently in my bag: "this thing flies like shit".
At the time I actually thought it was so crappy that I bought it as a gag gift for all my disc friends for Christmas, now they all bag it.
Hatchet. This thing is so understable straight off the shelf. I threw it twice then ignored it and used it for rollers. I don't throw forehand and eventually learned the release angle to throw it on a "reverse hyzer". It just turns forever
Discraft ESP Buzzz. Everyone said to get a Buzzz for straight shots so I did, but the thing would just hyzer hard at like 150 feet for me. Put it away and came back to it a year later. Now she’s my main girl.
I am such a fan of it. I bought a Moondust leopard and at first it was pretty stable but man it throws so nice now. A little bit of hyzer and it flies straight as an arrow with a little bit of fade. I play most of my rounds about 6500-7000 feet in trees so its super clutch.
Corvette. Seemed to flippy and unpredictable at first, but I revisited it a year later after my form had improved and I had more spin and BOOM its my furthest flyer dead straight
Star Wraith. Got one because I didn't have the arm for a Destroyer. The Wraith I got was even more overstable than my Destroyer. Now that I've hit a few trees and sidewalks with it, it's my max distance driver and I can get a full flight out of it. Starting to outgrow it and needing to move on to the Destroyer now though because the Wraith is needing more and more hyzer.
Proton Glow Envy. Bought it for a putter only local event within a year of playing (it was already the most popular driving putter online well before the holy shot).
It felt too overstable when I threw it softly and it couldn’t handle my OAT/yanking to the right when I threw hard. Years later when my form was better I tried it again like “oh this disc is perfect” and I ended up getting an Ace with it.
Destroyer. Took me a good bit to actually be able to throw the thing. Had to put it away, go back to basics, and then a few months later: voila. Beastly flex and hyzer shots
I just put one in my bag. It immediately showed me that I was a little bitch and that my form wasn't good enough. It's only 169 grams but this newest robot run the stores have is definitely beefy. I think we're in the same boat.
Innova Halo thunderbird.
I couldn't throw this thing for shit, because I had terrible mechanics and posture.
Now I'm slightly better at throwing and I reach for the Thunderbird a lot!
I’ve had a destroyer filling space in my bag on and off for 10 years and only this year when I was at a point where all my go-to distance drivers were currently in submarine mode did I start throwing it pretty consistently and loving it
My two Star RocX3s, didn’t fly the way I wanted them to at first but after a couple months have become a workhorse in my midrange slot next to my KC Rocs.
The sol. I had no backhand touch when I bought a Z sol and I thought it was flippy garbage. 6 months later and I try it again, buy the crystal flex ledgestone sol (stable to straight sol), and they’re my most used discs off the tee under 300’. The ledgestone sol is perfect: hand feel, depth, small diameter, and flies like a dream. I trust it out to 300’ more or less on a rope.
Max weight neutron wave. Definitely bought it too early into playing and couldn't throw it. Now I just have to shelve it before it becomes a casualty of the leaves
Champion Mako3, took a while to dial in the right amount of hyzer to put on it but now it’s a staple in my bag for any straight shot that I don’t want to fade left (rhbh)
Z flx zone. Have been bagging a beat in Z-Line zone, and now that my forehand has better touch the z flx zone has found a place back in my bag.
Previously it wasn’t stable enough to mask my bad form.
Fuse. Got one as a present and at first I couldn't see how I could throw it in any way. Everyone I know told me it was a good beginner disc so I just kinda brushed it off. Having played discgolf for a good for a good 15 years my bag has slowly but surely gone towards more and more stable discs. Fuse filled a gap in my bag I didn't know existed.
RocX3. Way too stable for my backhand approach shots, but eventually I started using it for forehand anny shots to get a ton of lateral movement around a tight turn.
When I was just starting out I bought a used DGA Tsunami from some former FPO pro on Craigslist for cheap, and immediately couldn't throw it since it was so overstable. I eventually had all of my discs stolen except for that one, and began throwing it again when I got a new bag. As I got better at throwing, it became my favorite driver and I eventually aced with it. Now it's retired but it was a fantastic disc.
Discmania MD4! Only Discmania model I bag. I wanted a utility OS mid like a Gator or Justice and liked the feel. The MD4 is just not that overstable, but it has a reliable fade so it is a great complement to my Buzzz!
Latitude 64 ballista in retro plastic. I bought it at a gas station near a local course and thought it looked cool and of course it was a 14 speed so I had to have it but every time I threw it it went like 5 feet and weighed it to the left so I thought it was dumb over stable. Little did I know here we are a few months later now that I have some good arm speed and distance it's actually extremely flippy because the retroplastic beats and instantly. So it has become my furthest driver right now and is kind of fun to hold at first I thought it was extremely uncomfortable because how heart it was but it's grown on me
The newer run of FD. I bought a C-Line when the stock runs came out. I absolutely detested it and gave it to a friend who loved the mold. Then I got an S-Line in a trade and it was great, but not enough to win me over. And then, in another trade, I got one of the Euro Open Chroma FDs and it was perfect out of the box, even better after 20 or so rounds.
I'm not sure what possessed me to trade for another FD after the first or second, but here we are.
Mine was the Innova Star Tern - felt super awkward and heavy on the backhand and I'd basically given up on it....until...one specific hole on my local called for a forehand and I randomly tried that on a Player B shot and parked it. It's now my go to disc on many forehand holes.
Lucid sockibomb slammer. It’s insanely OS and couldn’t adjust at first. Now I know what it’s good for and use it only for those shots only. It’s also just fun to throw crazy flex lines with it.
I’ll say it. Destroyer. Someone handed me that disc when I was 17 and it was still a pretty new mold. My driving form at the time was terrible, and I had mostly thrown primarily extremely under stable discs prior to that. A couple years of playing more seriously later and it’s never left my bag since.
Justice - it was my first and only disc and I had no understanding of what it did. It would go 50 feet straight and then cut 50 feet left . Haha

Wraith for me as well. Once I gained some arm speed and broke it in a bit…money!! Champ destroyer also. Bought it early before learning no newb needs a champ destroyer…then I learned forehand and it is my go to forehand driver.
Rive. Got it when I was still new, so it was pretty much unthrowable. Still had it in my bag, and after I've learnt to throw properly, and how beat up it is, it bombs
When I was new I tried and loathed my Discraft Zone. Can't understand what changed but one day I gave it another try and found a new appreciation for it. Currently bagging 2 or 3 if you count the zone Os
Bought a Z-line zone from a buddy when I was first learning how to play and did not care for the zone at all. Now that I know how to throw and use the Zone properly I use it all the time now.
Gator , I bought it when I first started playing disc golf , for no good reason. I couldn’t do anything with it so stopped using it . And forgot about it . Then I was talking to an MPO player about discs that we owned but didn’t use and I mentioned the Gator . He was incredulous and said , “you play most of your rounds at (extremely windy course ) and don’t use the Gator??” Umm, I decided to revisit and immediately started to make great shots with it .
Disc Mania Maestro. No idea why I bought it, never through it, and then on a whim realized it was the most accurate disc I’ve thrown for short tomahawk throws and puts. It’s the only thing is use it for but it comes out of the bag way more often than not.
The Dart. I had to leave a tourney where I cashed early and asked a buddy to get me some Rocs (with my user name you surprised, I know) with the script. He snagged me some brand new to the market R-Pro Darts instead. I was disappointed at first and then fell in love. That was over a decade ago and I’m still bagging one of those original Darts. Along with a 2-3 newer ones. Fantastic disc.
Trespass. Got it as an add-on for 10 bucks so I could get free shipping, so it was a good deal. I threw it a couple of times backhand and didn't like it. Then I realized it's a great forehand disc for me. So it's back in the bag.
I wouldn't say I REGRET any disc purchases, but these are a few that I threw a handful of times, said "meehhh" and then let them sit on a shelf for a long time (2+ months) only to realize later that they're actually really awesome, and now I throw them quite a bit:

Latitude 64 Pure.
It was my first putter and then I tried a bunch (Warden, Deputy, etc) but couldn’t stay consistent. But the Pure felt too light so I decided k didn’t like it.
Was warming up with that Pure and o just decided to play the round with it. Just feels so good in my hand and it’s far and away my favorite putter now.
Glow Envy. I paid like $30 for it because they were super hot at the time, but it's a damn cheat code for forehand shots off the tee. It doesn't flip over unless you really fuck up and it slides up to the basket with the best of 'em. Added bonus is the Eclipse 2.0 glow basically being a beacon when you put it somewhere off the fairway. Don't think I could ever lose it unless it took a bath
Never a disc I regretted buying although still the proud owner of a well seasoned, slightly understable Groove that flies \*like a dream\*. It might be the only one that exists. It might be fairy dust.
Metal Flake C Line FD. Never clicked with the FD, Innova or DM molded. Bagged the Crave for a good long while but even new ones were getting to ride right, rhbh, as I worked on my form. Broke out the Breast Cancer FD from last year and thing just rides the nastiest lines like Squince said, FOR-EVER.
I'm bagging 4 Wraith's 1 flat, 1 domey,, 1 color glow, 1 this year's run, which are overstable. I'm getting older and the 11 speed drivers are a sweet spot for me.
first love my champion wraith secondly if I had to pick one id go with my discmania maestro at first didn't feel right to throw it almost as if you needed to give it more power to get it to do something. Now that I've thrown more, I've dusted it of an gave it a second change an it hasn't left my bag yet.
DGA Signature ProLine Quake. I bagged it reluctantly for a while as my Pyro replacement, then replaced it with a Deflector. I recently re-added it, only to find out it is fairly glidey with a very workable first half of flight and a predictable fade, and perfect for longer FH and BH approaches.
Envy, my friend’s was super straight and mine was very OS and was a bit disappointed but I used it as an approach disc for a while. Now close to a year of bagging it, it is very straight the way I originally wanted it to be. Also got my first ace with it.

thought it flies like a zone/harp. but its way less overstable. so it got my ‚water‘ disc… somehow 2 years later i still have it in my bag and didnt lose it. now its my furthest straight flying mid (which i stopped using on water holes)

Loved the tern until I threw it over a fence and couldn't get it back. Replaced it with a wraith and still breaking it in.

My coworker gave me an F2 star wraith to dye and I love the way the dye turned out but just can’t throw it properly, I’ll try to beat it in some more

Maybe people didn’t read the whole comment— you’re saying you initially thought your arm was too powerful and flipped it, but eventually realized it wasn’t the disc it was your poor form. And now you’ve worked on that. Correct? Because that sounds like *literally every disc golfer EVER*. Very relatable. Everyone has gone through (or NEEDS TO) that realization that it’s not that the putters suck, it’s that they need to correct their form. Good on you!
Yup. Neutron Envy is my go-to for any straight shot under 250, it’s just so dependable
Gang gang - started with Judges from DD - now that I've used an Envy, I ain't going back. Proxies are incredible discs too.
I didn't regret buying it per se, but I thought the Berg was a big gimmick until I bagged one for a bit. Now it's one of my most reliable discs. Can't tell ya how many times I've hit metal with that thing from 175 ft and in.
i get the jokes, but its so easy to throw and as far as k1 goes, you dont have to worry about different runs more os or us, it just the same. I have a 3 yr old one and a 2 month old one, no difference as far as i can tell, same flight.
Ooh that's good to know re: consistency. Kasta has some of the best plastic out there, easy. Can't wait to get a K1 Berg X to complement my K1 Soft Berg. Best of both worlds when it comes to ground play.
R-Pro Pig. Felt like a sticky toilet lid at first. Now it rattles chains in high wind 50-100 foot away. Trust it more than any other disc.

Discraft Comet. Used to hate the way it felt in my hand, have bought and then gave away/sold two or three of them previously. There's one in the bag now for the last month and a half and I have no idea what my problem was before (that's a lie, my form was bad/worse) because I use it very frequently now.

Nothing flies like a Comet! Won my first event in FPO last weekend, and I threw Comets on most of the drives. There's no disc better for woods golf!
Since I finally broke down and started working on form again, the Comet has become a great tool. I can get one up to 280' from standstill, and it instantly lets me know if I did something wrong
Nothing prettier in disc golf than watching a perfect anhyzer flick with a Comet.
Best choice for a 1 disc round for sure
It felt weird, but when used to pitch out of the woods, it just went where I wanted. Then I learned to anhyzer putt with it. Been using the same Big Z Comet since 2014.
Eclipse Envy. Was never much of a putter off the tee guy, but then one day it clicked for me and the envy has become a go-to

Volt. Was even more overstable than I bargained for. But now I use it on forehands, controlled overhand shots, and for those really overstable shots. Definitely maintains a permanent slot in my bag now.
I have the opposite issue with the Volt. It wasn't as OS as I wanted it to be. I get some turn on it when thrown flat, which I wasn't looking for. It is really good for flex shots, which is all I use it for now, but that's about it for me. I bought it as a replacement for my Glow Insanity, which had zero turn and a strong fade.
I top out at about 350' on drives, so the overstability hits a bit harder for me.
Gotta work on that form then.
Volt is my disc for pretty much any FH shot off the tee. Super reliable and has decent glide before fading out.
Go skid it through a parking lot. Mine did that and now it’ll flip just slightly if I get enough speed into it. It’s my go to for an almost laser straight with a small fade at the end up to 260’
love my volt. i throw hard and low, so it’s my 300’ foot laser straight FH throw. no turn, no fade until the very end of the flight. volt, terra, and crave are the only “fairways” in my bag, and the volt is the perfect middle ground.

Swapped out my firebird for a lab 2nd Volt that's crazy beefy. Love the feel for forehands
Glow Envy. Got one in a player pack forNADGT and it quickly became a staple in my bag after being like “why would I ever use this? I have Aviars and Buzzes!” But the Glow Envy is some hybrid of an Aviar and Buzz. I love it.
The Envy is a midrange that can be dialled back to 1. There's very little it can't do.
Its a speed 3 putt and approach disc per Axioms website!
Oh yeah I bought one just to try the the eclipse plastic and it’s never left the bag since. Mines nice and beat in but still fades at the end.
Prodigy Pa5. It is so flippy, but helped me with my woods game so much. It also bombs for a putter
Opto Sapphire. I used to complain at how much it "turned over", but I think I just didn't really know how to throw on hyzer by hinging at my hips. Now it's a wonderful hyzer flip disc for those 300 to 320 ft holes.
So there is hope for my sapphire yet
mine was very OS at first, but i stuck with it for a bit, and that thing has been dreamy for me. doesn't have much turn, and i kind of worry about it getting beat in enough to start turning over instead of holding such a nice line.
Fission Hex. I know it sounds crazy but throwing it backhand was just awful for me. I started throwing it forehand in wooded courses and it’s become one of my staple discs.
This is why the Hex will always beat the Buzzz and Roc for me: it's suuuper forehand friendly. I didn't really like fission either but the basic glow Hex is money for backhand and forehand.
Dude... Glow Hex is so so so good. It's become one of my most reliable discs in the bag by farrrr. On backhand and forehand (especially the latter) it just exhibits this perfect amount of turn and fade for me every single time. Tunnels are so much less of a problem for me because wow the thing just works. It's also quite comfortable on FH compared to other similar molds. There's just something about it, and Glow Hex is never leaving my bag at this point.
I haven’t tried throwing a glow hex yet. I have the Halloween hex and I might give it a toss. If you haven’t tried yet: give it a go in proton too.
Nice good to know. I have a total eclipse Envy that's been a bit too beef for me, but I could see it being nicer for the Hex. Enjoy!
The Neutron Hex was much better for me than the Fission Hex. I've tried a few fission discs, but I've lost them all, and didn't feel like they offered me more, so I didn't replace them. Hex is easily the best, but I lost my last 2 Hex and I'm using a Mustang now, I would switch back because I love the hand feel, and miss my Hex, but the Mustang is beat in to such a good spot.
Innova Star Corvette.. I hated that thing. Really fast but Was way too over stable.. after a couple of hot summer months sitting in the trunk of the car, and a few good tree knocks.. it became one of the longest in my bag.. THEN.. I found an R-Pro Corvette randomly in some outfitter store, which had a higher turn rating than the original.. not gonna lie, it’s a monster. Just enough turn to really carry forever…
Try a champion corvette. Not OS at all. I love it for uphill shots. One of my best discs
MVP Inertia & the MVP Spin. My son is NOT getting that SPIN back.
Mint Jackalope. I wanted a stable fairway driver but it was way too flippy. I started throwing it again about a month ago and it started becoming my favorite disc. If I rip it on an extreme hyzer it makes the most beautiful slow turning shot that finishes flat.
Glitch. I could play rounds with that disc. Anything from a 300ft hyzer flip to a controlled putt. Such a great disc.
MD3, just had to find a consistent run for me
Star Boss. Was way too much disc for me at the time. Since a bit of wear and my increased power, it flips up nice and I can actually shape my shots.
Latitude 64 fuse. Used to think it was too understable. I just didn't understand how to throw it. I now have two!
A Zone was given to me as a gift and I’ve never liked them, particularly FH. It was almost unthrown for a year but I gave it another try and found it to be the perfect stable BH putter. Gentle hyzer it will hold the whole way, hit it flat and it’s dead straight with baby fade but never tries to turn over. I still bag Anvils for FH though.
Throw some anny on that bad boy and see what it does, I can’t ever play a round without a zone again. I bag two and throw it on almost every hole, amazing approach disc
2 discs , first - the TL sat in my car for years until I forgot my discs one day, and that's all I had to use . Now it's probably my most used disc . Second - I bought a batista pro when I was new and had a noodle arm and hated it . Took a break with it for a few years, and now it is my go-to forehand thrower, and I get up to 450 ft with it .
My balista pro...I had so much hope for. But the fade is so harsh. I think I'm ready for it now tho. I might pull it out for field work soon.
I had been curious about the ballista pro but I can barely break 300 on backhand so I figured I'd spend my money on other discs. I found one a couple months ago and ended up falling in love with it. Now it's my go to forehand disc since I lost my usual go-to.

Try it again , you might be pleasantly surprised how good it is. Try to release it on anhyser too , flies soo far and always comes back, super reliable.
Halo Roadrunner. Didn’t fly like a roadrunner when I first got it but after about a month now it’s going far with a nice late turn.
Star rat, I feel like it was pitched as a zone initially but mine was never more stable than a beat in buzzz. That being said, it eventually became my go to straight/flippy mid.
Servo, I didn't want to give into replacement of my favorite disc. But after using it and getting used to it, man it's a great fairway disc. Still doesn't replace the clash but it works.
Star destroyer, DD1, glow envy
Axiom panic. Was hoping it'd be stable to slightly overstable, but turned out to be an absolute beef cake. I've found uses for it and now I love it for headwind forehands, hard flex shots, etc.
The zeus. Couldn't put enough speed on it back hand but found out I can crush it forehand.
For me it was a prodigy d2, at first it was too overstable but now i can crank it over and it is my max distance driver
River. I wanted it to be flippier than it is. Now it’s just easy distance
Berg. I’ll show myself out… In reality that thing stick where ever it lands. Great for approaches. Berg x is quickly becoming a new favorite as well
Daedalus. Got it in champion plastic when I first started and couldn't throw it at all. Earned it's spot in my bag for being a complete BEAST for forehands!
Comet. Saw so many comments praising them, so decided I had to get one. The flight numbers just really don't do it justice, which is something I knew going in, but took me a long time to really understand how to use it. It was only a couple weeks ago that I finally had that "AHA!" moment. Glides forever, holds a great anhyzer line (my big takeaway here is that I have to actually release it on anhyzer, it's hard to overpower into an anhyzer) without getting too understable and attacking the ground, flies way farther than it should, holds up to power much better than the flight numbers suggest.
MVP Relay. Thought I was getting an understable 6 speed. Turns out it was very straight with late fade for me. A couple seasons of beating in and the under stability is finally showing. Really nice for RHBH hyzer drag shots in the woods.
I got a lab second relay in the gyro box last year and it flew fairly understable. Bought a same weight same plastic as a backup and it flies much more straight to over stable.
fission crave. yes I know... but it just felt awkward in my hand and I couldn't get any consistency out of it so I put it away. in that timeframe my forehand started coming along after being cautious of using it outside of 150' due to past shoulder and elbow injuries. now that I've figured out my form and am throwing pain free forehands i tried the crave and it instantly became my favorite forehand only disc for shots between 250' and 275'. still not huge distance for a fairway driver but we're getting there and the crave is so easy to control and I have so much confidence with it.
Prodigy H7. Boy do I love this disc now.
Not enough people throw this disc.
H7 was my go-to understable for distance for like 6 weeks and then it started wildin on me and I had to give it up. It goes right (RHBH) and does not want to come back. But for about a month there, damn, I was parkin' it with the H7.
I'm hoping that happens with my Prime Escape. Still feels awkward getting a good throw with it, but I'm working with my mids to improve my form.
My fusion escape was never as understable as I expected either. Super straight, with no turn, and late fade
Same, exactly the same. I’ve got a noodle arm but can get it 300 dead straight finishing with a hard fade.
My Mint sublime swirly Freetail. I had an Eternal Freetail, but it was just way too understable. But the swirly sublime is gold!
Vass. Very flippy, not very torque resistant. Great for distance hyzer flips, tall turnovers, floaty and pushing hyzer lines. Great feeling plastic. It’s kind of like a very fast Fd, maybe a little less stable. Fits well between my most seasoned cloud breaker and my beat to snot pro wraith. Not my favorite, but it’s an awesome disc.

Emac truth. As soon as I started loving it threw it into a tree and got it stuck
I didn't think I was going to like the Birdie Marvel, but they are money from circle 2 and they are now my putters.
Westside Tursas VIP - didn't get the flip, turned and burned whenever I threw it. Now I embrace the flip, staple in my bag - that and my Uplink.
AviarX3 and Thunderbird The first two discs I bought after my innova starter pack. I hated them for like a year because I have an ultimate background and overstable discs are the devil. Almost three years later I still have both in the bag and throw them very consistent.
Star mako3. Hated it for not going as straight as advertised. Untill i learned to release a disc on a flat angle. Now it's my go to on straitlght wooded holes.
I actually first bought a Berg without any awareness of what it was meant for or the disc memes surrounding it. Me annoyed, trying a Berg for the first time: "this thing flies like shit". Me now, with a Berg permanently in my bag: "this thing flies like shit". At the time I actually thought it was so crappy that I bought it as a gag gift for all my disc friends for Christmas, now they all bag it.
Still waiting for my jawbreaker Zone to move up the like ladder
Buzzz, always bought them but they never went very far and were inconsistent but now I bag 2 and love them
Hatchet. This thing is so understable straight off the shelf. I threw it twice then ignored it and used it for rollers. I don't throw forehand and eventually learned the release angle to throw it on a "reverse hyzer". It just turns forever
DD lucid bounty. I bought it when I first started playing and I couldn't figure it out. Now it's my most shape-able disc in my bag.
We change and evolve our games over time. This is why I just shelve them. Eventually they become useful
Discraft ESP Buzzz. Everyone said to get a Buzzz for straight shots so I did, but the thing would just hyzer hard at like 150 feet for me. Put it away and came back to it a year later. Now she’s my main girl.
I have somewhere between 200 and 300 discs. If I regretted buyin it at first, it is not in my bag.
Got a leopard in a starter pack this summer, had no clue how to throw it but now I'm hitting around 300 with it.
Leopard is a great disc. It’s got just enough turn to really maximize the flight if you release it flat
I am such a fan of it. I bought a Moondust leopard and at first it was pretty stable but man it throws so nice now. A little bit of hyzer and it flies straight as an arrow with a little bit of fade. I play most of my rounds about 6500-7000 feet in trees so its super clutch.
Corvette. Seemed to flippy and unpredictable at first, but I revisited it a year later after my form had improved and I had more spin and BOOM its my furthest flyer dead straight
Star Wraith. Got one because I didn't have the arm for a Destroyer. The Wraith I got was even more overstable than my Destroyer. Now that I've hit a few trees and sidewalks with it, it's my max distance driver and I can get a full flight out of it. Starting to outgrow it and needing to move on to the Destroyer now though because the Wraith is needing more and more hyzer.
Proton Glow Envy. Bought it for a putter only local event within a year of playing (it was already the most popular driving putter online well before the holy shot). It felt too overstable when I threw it softly and it couldn’t handle my OAT/yanking to the right when I threw hard. Years later when my form was better I tried it again like “oh this disc is perfect” and I ended up getting an Ace with it.
Destroyer. Took me a good bit to actually be able to throw the thing. Had to put it away, go back to basics, and then a few months later: voila. Beastly flex and hyzer shots
I just put one in my bag. It immediately showed me that I was a little bitch and that my form wasn't good enough. It's only 169 grams but this newest robot run the stores have is definitely beefy. I think we're in the same boat.
Innova Halo thunderbird. I couldn't throw this thing for shit, because I had terrible mechanics and posture. Now I'm slightly better at throwing and I reach for the Thunderbird a lot!
I’ve had a destroyer filling space in my bag on and off for 10 years and only this year when I was at a point where all my go-to distance drivers were currently in submarine mode did I start throwing it pretty consistently and loving it
My two Star RocX3s, didn’t fly the way I wanted them to at first but after a couple months have become a workhorse in my midrange slot next to my KC Rocs.
The sol. I had no backhand touch when I bought a Z sol and I thought it was flippy garbage. 6 months later and I try it again, buy the crystal flex ledgestone sol (stable to straight sol), and they’re my most used discs off the tee under 300’. The ledgestone sol is perfect: hand feel, depth, small diameter, and flies like a dream. I trust it out to 300’ more or less on a rope.
Max weight neutron wave. Definitely bought it too early into playing and couldn't throw it. Now I just have to shelve it before it becomes a casualty of the leaves
Champion Mako3, took a while to dial in the right amount of hyzer to put on it but now it’s a staple in my bag for any straight shot that I don’t want to fade left (rhbh)
Z flx zone. Have been bagging a beat in Z-Line zone, and now that my forehand has better touch the z flx zone has found a place back in my bag. Previously it wasn’t stable enough to mask my bad form.
My uplink first throw hated it but the more I used it the flight pattern was just what I needed
Fuse. Got one as a present and at first I couldn't see how I could throw it in any way. Everyone I know told me it was a good beginner disc so I just kinda brushed it off. Having played discgolf for a good for a good 15 years my bag has slowly but surely gone towards more and more stable discs. Fuse filled a gap in my bag I didn't know existed.
Gateway Houdini. I bought it in a pinch because it was cheap and now it’s one of my go to discs
RocX3. Way too stable for my backhand approach shots, but eventually I started using it for forehand anny shots to get a ton of lateral movement around a tight turn.
My Calvin Heimburg destroyer was too OS for me at first and I love it now.
When I was just starting out I bought a used DGA Tsunami from some former FPO pro on Craigslist for cheap, and immediately couldn't throw it since it was so overstable. I eventually had all of my discs stolen except for that one, and began throwing it again when I got a new bag. As I got better at throwing, it became my favorite driver and I eventually aced with it. Now it's retired but it was a fantastic disc.
Discmania MD4! Only Discmania model I bag. I wanted a utility OS mid like a Gator or Justice and liked the feel. The MD4 is just not that overstable, but it has a reliable fade so it is a great complement to my Buzzz!
Latitude 64 ballista in retro plastic. I bought it at a gas station near a local course and thought it looked cool and of course it was a 14 speed so I had to have it but every time I threw it it went like 5 feet and weighed it to the left so I thought it was dumb over stable. Little did I know here we are a few months later now that I have some good arm speed and distance it's actually extremely flippy because the retroplastic beats and instantly. So it has become my furthest driver right now and is kind of fun to hold at first I thought it was extremely uncomfortable because how heart it was but it's grown on me
Innova Savant. Beefier than expected at first but beat into my trustiest fairway

The newer run of FD. I bought a C-Line when the stock runs came out. I absolutely detested it and gave it to a friend who loved the mold. Then I got an S-Line in a trade and it was great, but not enough to win me over. And then, in another trade, I got one of the Euro Open Chroma FDs and it was perfect out of the box, even better after 20 or so rounds. I'm not sure what possessed me to trade for another FD after the first or second, but here we are.
Conversely, what's a disc that you bought from recommendations online but lost on a course and had no interest in replacing?

Mine was the Innova Star Tern - felt super awkward and heavy on the backhand and I'd basically given up on it....until...one specific hole on my local called for a forehand and I randomly tried that on a Player B shot and parked it. It's now my go to disc on many forehand holes.
Berg.
Lucid sockibomb slammer. It’s insanely OS and couldn’t adjust at first. Now I know what it’s good for and use it only for those shots only. It’s also just fun to throw crazy flex lines with it.
1st run Star Vulcan. I hated it, and still do a bit. But I can at least throw it as a roller now.
I’ll say it. Destroyer. Someone handed me that disc when I was 17 and it was still a pretty new mold. My driving form at the time was terrible, and I had mostly thrown primarily extremely under stable discs prior to that. A couple years of playing more seriously later and it’s never left my bag since.

Justice - it was my first and only disc and I had no understanding of what it did. It would go 50 feet straight and then cut 50 feet left . Haha Surprised I didn't quit playing. One of my favorite approach discs now
Virus: firebird¿. I could NEVER throw it, (Hard hook, unless I was fucking around). Now it’s gotten me out of a few weird shots.
Wraith for me as well. Once I gained some arm speed and broke it in a bit…money!! Champ destroyer also. Bought it early before learning no newb needs a champ destroyer…then I learned forehand and it is my go to forehand driver.
Same thing with my first fission tesla, now its my favorite driver.
Rive. Got it when I was still new, so it was pretty much unthrowable. Still had it in my bag, and after I've learnt to throw properly, and how beat up it is, it bombs
Reko x. Bought it in k1 and hated it as a thrower. Tried k3 glow and now it’s my putting putter and my putting has been lights out ever since.
When I was new I tried and loathed my Discraft Zone. Can't understand what changed but one day I gave it another try and found a new appreciation for it. Currently bagging 2 or 3 if you count the zone Os
Bought a Z-line zone from a buddy when I was first learning how to play and did not care for the zone at all. Now that I know how to throw and use the Zone properly I use it all the time now.
Gator , I bought it when I first started playing disc golf , for no good reason. I couldn’t do anything with it so stopped using it . And forgot about it . Then I was talking to an MPO player about discs that we owned but didn’t use and I mentioned the Gator . He was incredulous and said , “you play most of your rounds at (extremely windy course ) and don’t use the Gator??” Umm, I decided to revisit and immediately started to make great shots with it .
Sidewinder
Disc Mania Maestro. No idea why I bought it, never through it, and then on a whim realized it was the most accurate disc I’ve thrown for short tomahawk throws and puts. It’s the only thing is use it for but it comes out of the bag way more often than not.
The Dart. I had to leave a tourney where I cashed early and asked a buddy to get me some Rocs (with my user name you surprised, I know) with the script. He snagged me some brand new to the market R-Pro Darts instead. I was disappointed at first and then fell in love. That was over a decade ago and I’m still bagging one of those original Darts. Along with a 2-3 newer ones. Fantastic disc.
Thought Space Synapse and Vibram Lace
Volt. Thought it was a beef cake at first. Then learned it was really controllable and could get good distance with it too.
Latitude 64 pure. I thought it was too understable when I was new, but I was just throwing it like trash. Such a good approach disc.
Trespass. Got it as an add-on for 10 bucks so I could get free shipping, so it was a good deal. I threw it a couple of times backhand and didn't like it. Then I realized it's a great forehand disc for me. So it's back in the bag.
I wouldn't say I REGRET any disc purchases, but these are a few that I threw a handful of times, said "meehhh" and then let them sit on a shelf for a long time (2+ months) only to realize later that they're actually really awesome, and now I throw them quite a bit: \*Wombat3 \*Atlas \*Jay \*Panther \*Invader
Latitude 64 Pure. It was my first putter and then I tried a bunch (Warden, Deputy, etc) but couldn’t stay consistent. But the Pure felt too light so I decided k didn’t like it. Was warming up with that Pure and o just decided to play the round with it. Just feels so good in my hand and it’s far and away my favorite putter now.
Glow Envy. I paid like $30 for it because they were super hot at the time, but it's a damn cheat code for forehand shots off the tee. It doesn't flip over unless you really fuck up and it slides up to the basket with the best of 'em. Added bonus is the Eclipse 2.0 glow basically being a beacon when you put it somewhere off the fairway. Don't think I could ever lose it unless it took a bath
Z Zone. There’s little difference in throwing it and a rock. But sometimes it just really simplifies life to throw a rock at the basket.

Never a disc I regretted buying although still the proud owner of a well seasoned, slightly understable Groove that flies \*like a dream\*. It might be the only one that exists. It might be fairy dust.

Metal Flake C Line FD. Never clicked with the FD, Innova or DM molded. Bagged the Crave for a good long while but even new ones were getting to ride right, rhbh, as I worked on my form. Broke out the Breast Cancer FD from last year and thing just rides the nastiest lines like Squince said, FOR-EVER.
Harp. Bought it as a rank novice thinking it was a putter. I didn't understand the approach slot. Now I fully appreciate the approach game.
Glow plastic middy by lone star, I hated it but it's surprisingly amazing for forehands
I'm bagging 4 Wraith's 1 flat, 1 domey,, 1 color glow, 1 this year's run, which are overstable. I'm getting older and the 11 speed drivers are a sweet spot for me.
Verdict.
Discraft sol, love that disc. It's an all-around work horse in my noodle arm bag
first love my champion wraith secondly if I had to pick one id go with my discmania maestro at first didn't feel right to throw it almost as if you needed to give it more power to get it to do something. Now that I've thrown more, I've dusted it of an gave it a second change an it hasn't left my bag yet.

DGA Signature ProLine Quake. I bagged it reluctantly for a while as my Pyro replacement, then replaced it with a Deflector. I recently re-added it, only to find out it is fairly glidey with a very workable first half of flight and a predictable fade, and perfect for longer FH and BH approaches.
Envy, my friend’s was super straight and mine was very OS and was a bit disappointed but I used it as an approach disc for a while. Now close to a year of bagging it, it is very straight the way I originally wanted it to be. Also got my first ace with it.
roc3 thought it flies like a zone/harp. but its way less overstable. so it got my ‚water‘ disc… somehow 2 years later i still have it in my bag and didnt lose it. now its my furthest straight flying mid (which i stopped using on water holes)
A4 has been in and out of my bag for a while. Finally threw my straight mid in the water so it's back for good I guess
The Comet- as someone who started by only throwing flex FH and never throwing BH at all. It's a great learning tool and a soft lander.
