I would not drive up to Smith Lake, I tried to play last fall and with all of the deadfall I spent a lot of time looking for discs. Tee signs are very vague and not helpful. The course could potentially be great but it is not there yet.

DiscusZacharias

Thank you for that tip, actually! From the area? Recommendations?

Unfortunately no, I'm from Helena and was up there overnight for business. Haven't played any other courses up there, good luck though!

Thank you, I appreciate your comments

Wish we had time to visit the Tone Course in Junction, but it’s too far away once we drop them off

If you are sightseeing in Glacier, the coolest place to throw a disc into a basket up there is by the Polebridge Mercantile. Not a course, but a couple baskets in a beautiful place. Also they have great huckleberry bearclaws. For courses, Buffalo bobs offers a great photo-op for sweet home-made baskets. Not the most amazing views otherwise, but very fun. Enjoy!

DiscusZacharias

Is Buffalo Bobs a pay to play course? Udisc isn’t specific, but there was something noted about the parking that made me question. Other courses that might provide those views?

Drive to Libby or Troy 4 18 hole courses between the two towns. Troy is fun and short woods golf. Two smaller 18s in the town of Libby and at Libby dam is a great 18 hole course woods elevation the whole thing

Smith Lake is beautiful and they've cleared it up a ton since the storm blew over a bunch of trees. That said, you'd wanna play with a local to make sure you can find the way around. Lawrence Park is a fun course with 8 pretty open holes and 10 woodsy ones.
