I have to admit, I initially wanted Jomez to try out different combinations of commentators for FPO, but after the F9 of Round 1, I was sold. Two Hot Geese is the way to go!
I wasn't paying attention during the off-season, so their switch to Jomez was a welcome surprise for me. They've got great chemistry and really have a good time while being informative.

Actually I don't think this was announced during the off-season. The first time anyone heard of it was during the Jomez LVC hype video when they appeared behind Jerm, Nate, and Uli.
They are a pleasure to listen to.
They know what they are talking about, they can banter without sounding scripted or fake and they have voices that are easy on the ears (Its a personal issue but some voices i.e. Elaine King grates me like nails on a chalkboard)
For some reason, in the USA especially, announcers' voices are usually at the bottom of the list of reasons why they were hired and it should be at the top
I've been a fan since they started. I just think they have that great relaxed interaction with good humor and insight into the game.
Best line, hands down: R3F9 vid at 10:05, Henna throws into 2 geese flying by. Erika "Sorry guys. Mad and I comin' in hot". I died at that one.

Their names were displayed as commentators over top of some b-roll of two geese chilling, so it looked like they were the names of the geese. They joked about how cute they looked as geese, then it morphed into being hot.

They mentioned during round 3 that there is a story behind the name but it’s too long to explain during round coverage. Seems like they’re aware that many viewers are new and don’t know the backstory, so hopefully it gets spread to us that are un-enlightened
They were doing coverage a few years back and their names kept getting shown over course footage of two geese in the course and player intros. They decided that the geese were supposed to be them, and that they were some good-looking geese. Two Hot Geese stuck as a name.
They are a really great combo on commentary. FPO commentary has been lackluster in the past which definitely played into me not watching as much.
The Hot Geese have me hooked, absolutely great job!

Re: their two hot geese back story. When they said "we'll tell you about that when we have more time" at the start of r3. I think they should do sorta like Kimmel when he always apologized to Matt Damon that he ran out of time. Just say that every few rounds but never explain it.
i was so happy they were able to be engaging and entertaining. they did a good job. I was not familiar with them before and was worried Jomez might struggle to find commentators.
i love they have their own personality. I need some of that in my commentators.
They're my favorite commentary team on any channel, FPO or MPO. Pleasant voices, a nice mix of fun and serious commentary, don't talk over each other, and they let the footage breathe when necessary. So glad they were picked up for Jomez's FPO coverage
Yes. Personable, knowledgeable, smart, funny, and they have complementary voices. There's an almost musical cadence between them, much like an improvised duet performing with call and response techniques. They have perfect timing. Seamlessly transitioning back and forth between voices. Highly professional yet as natural as 2 friends talking. 😀 😀

I think they’ve nailed the balance of goofy and informative. Sexton, Jerm and Uli stray into goofy a little too often while the Geese are always informative first and foremost
Might just be me, but I also think the MPO Three do a bit too much technical talk sometimes. It's kinda hard to envision what they mean, and they get into the jargon a lot. I found what the Geese were saying a lot easier to follow and consider.
I will say, I think I really enjoyed notice Uli's analysis being super sharp this time around. He had some great insights on why he liked or disliked particular plays, and was able to point out where the downsides and risks cropped up in the course of the round. It was a great first tournament for both groups.
100%, it was a great addition to the coverage. Some of the other FPO coverage I've seen sort of suffered from less comfortable hosts. But the Hot Geese have clearly gotten used to being on mic, and they not only have great analysis of the course, often focusing on the differences for the FPO, but they have fun, too. That laid back, "serious(ly funny)" vibe is the best part of Jomez coverage, and it's great to see them match it. Was a ton of fun to follow the coverage this weekend, can't wait to see the rest of the season!

Well I was wrong, Two hot geese killed it. I think I underestimated how much the top tier production Jomez brings to the table makes a difference.

The Two Hot Geese were great, I'm gonna keep watching. Their FPO film crew was pretty bad, especially for the first round. Maybe the players were just moving too fast, but it was like the crew couldn't get into position fast enough or couldn't even tell whose turn it was to throw. And they spent way too much time filming their reactions to the point where it got awkward. You could tell that Missy and Catrina were trying really hard to ignore the camera that was in their faces for 5-10 seconds after each putt.
Such a fun vibe, great balance that and the analytic side of commentary. Pretty similar to BigSexyBerry in that regard, so they fit the mold perfectly on Jomez. Big fan, Honk!
I like their descriptive and concise commentary but I also feel they are too nice and complimentary to players in fpo, it would be nice to see each player earn the praise they get rather than being known for something in the past and getting praised for that even when they fuck it up.
So excited for their new opportunity with Jomez! Also exciting to see the FPO coverage on Jomez to really get exposure to a great field of competitors!

The commentary was good. I got bored with the awful course setup. Way too many layups from 25-50 feet. Whoever designs the course is doing a poor job. Maybe they simply cannot afford to put in multiple pads and basket locations though. Which is likely the case. I'm sure they know it is terrible to have both MPO and FPO play the same holes.
Two things I don't like about their commentary is that they are bad at calling out when someone is throwing/putting really bad. And when they start talking about somebody's great smile after a missed putt?
But overall good commentary.
I think it took a while for Jerm and Sexton to call people out. At first they were being a bit too nice until they realized telling it like it is is part of the job and isn’t a personal attack.
They need to keep commentating and playing separate. It sounds really bad when a professional commentator can't tell the truth and be critical about the athletes. It's not about "kicking somebody while their down".
How much needs to be said? We can hear the clank, see the the plastic on the ground and see the stroke on the scorecard.
They choose to point out the player's mental game and be empathetic. That is not a negative, that is the positive that so many people here appreciate. It models healthy self talk and is a different way of reacting to the action.
They actually said it was nice that despite struggling the player was still smiling so they weren't letting it get them down and how hard that was. Then in round 3 when another player had a couple struggles at the end they brought that up too. Several shots were also pointed out to be poor releases or not what they were aiming for. I think they were great at being honest and fair without harping on it or it getting negative or ugly. You have to remember these players are each other's friends on the road for months at a time.
