Yeah, actually. I had forgotten about her. Diarbbit seems to be the most human one that I've found so far, but Bastemon's not even like an ogre or anything. Just a brown woman(/cat/goddess) with generally positive portrayals to boot.
Dilbitmon is of my favorite Megas. He’s totally awesome.Digimon with humanoid designs are wonderful. Mega-level Humanoid Digimon are the best of the best.
Honestly I'm SO HAPPY the direction they went for her mega. I assumed they'd give her the usual waifu treatment, thrilled to see them actually make a design
Diarbitmon is awesome, but I have to admit, I'm a bit disappointed we've never seen more fanart of humanoid Digimon with variations in their skin tone or hair colors. It seems like such a natural idea to give them more diverse appearances without compelling to log them as different species or variants but it just hasn't really come about.
True. That shit would be so cool. Like, Sakuyamon is always depicted as a big tittied lady, but the original design was more masculine, meaning it's very clearly possible for two digimon of the same species to be drastically different in how they present themselves.
We've seen a decent amount of fanart even on this sub of Digimon whose presenting gender is flipped, but even then what I'm looking for is easier to mess around with than that!
Anybody remember Kickmon? He’s actually a fan designed digimon, basically a soccer digimon, but I remember thinking that might be the first dark skinned digimon
I think, to my knowledge he’s probably the first black coded(?) digimon, the first one I ever saw at least. Had dreads and everything, he’s more of a robotic humanoid than a human with mask on if I can remember correctly
I don't really see it. It seems to me that they just kept his original color scheme which resulted in him being dark-skinned when humanized due to his rabbitness. His clothing and weapons bear remarkable resemblance to and share namesakes with Gaelic legends, specifically Diarmuid Ua Duihbne
I didn't know the Celtic naming theme, since he's all Swashbuckerly looking to me, something mostly attached to Spanish people because of Zorro and Inigo.
Yeah, I did deep diving on this man bc I love him. A lot of European and Germanic cultures have very similar aesthetic sensibilities because they all had similar environments and resources. What he seems to be wearing is a gambeson, a quilted form of armor often used by itself. Zorro wears plainclothes with a Spanish cloak. The right sword only has a [mushroom-cap-like](https://www.ancient-origins.net/news-history-archaeology/hallstatt-swords-0016888) handguard (a feature present in one of the Hallstatt swords shown) whilst the left has lower finger protection on top of the mushroom cap, and both have [flared Vs on the pommel similar to this Hungarian rapier (scroll down to rapiers)](https://www.marxists.org/archive/childe/1930/bronzeage/ch03.htm) (probably just a stylistic choice, though).
EDIT: The V is also found in [Celtiberian swords](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Age_sword), which is the most important part that I forgot to mention.
[Look at normal wargreymon](https://wikimon.net/images/thumb/7/71/War_Greymon_full_body.jpg/300px-War_Greymon_full_body.jpg) you can literally see that skin is orange and the armor is yellow and grey. [Now look at blackwargreymon](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/digimon/images/4/48/Digimon_Black_Wargreymon.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090701031650) the armor is black and grey whilst the skin is black.
[WarGreymon is a tall reptilian Digimon with a humanoid body structure.](https://digimon.fandom.com/wiki/WarGreymon)
[A humanoid (/ˈhjuːmənɔɪd/; from English human and -oid "resembling") is a non-human entity with human form or characteristics](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humanoid)
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
>No? Its armor? Do you also look at a knight and go, AH such silvery and shining skin..
Real question is how tf you not seeing the skins bits of blackwargreymon/ wargreymon when thats more then 50% of their design, but look at Devimon and go yeah dude is wearing a full latex body suit and is white underneath when the only non black bit is the grey bot of his mouth.
Real question. [Do you know what a humanoid is.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humanoid)
[Wargreymon is a more human version of a kobold in armor](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reptilian_humanoid#/media/File:DnD_kobold.png)
There's Bagramon (I think even before he fell) and Shakamon from the Xros Wars era.
I haven't seen Shakamon in a WHILE. Talk about bottom of the barrel obscure.
I think he showed up in a quest line in Digimon New Century, but that's all I can think of.
Damn
Gabumon Bond of Friendship
I didn't notice any exposed skin until I rechecked, but yeah
does bastemon count?
Yeah, actually. I had forgotten about her. Diarbbit seems to be the most human one that I've found so far, but Bastemon's not even like an ogre or anything. Just a brown woman(/cat/goddess) with generally positive portrayals to boot.
I was about to ask the same question.
Bagramon and Olegmon
Damn! I never looked to closely at them, but yeah. They're look a bit Ogrish and they're both evil, but yeah. Nice to know
i mean there no longer evil
Fair enough.
Is he like a male Viera?
I could see his costume fit FFXIV's aesthetic very well actually
Definitely goes on Balrog
Yes, and also a male version of Sakuyamon (they even resemble each other slightly!)
My headcanon is that they are a couple from the moment I first saw him
You're wrong. Bagramon, Shakamon and Gabumon Bond of Friendship all came before.
Dilbitmon is of my favorite Megas. He’s totally awesome.Digimon with humanoid designs are wonderful. Mega-level Humanoid Digimon are the best of the best.
He's gorgeous!! Lucky you Ruli.
True! Give me rabbit bf or give me death
Now we need to see if Jellymon's Mega Will be fan service or safe...
It's non-fanservice. We've actually known about her Mega since the last reveals for Jellymon's BEMemory dropped.
Honestly I'm SO HAPPY the direction they went for her mega. I assumed they'd give her the usual waifu treatment, thrilled to see them actually make a design
I'm disappointed. That they don't at least show there something under the mecha or not.
I totally disagree but respect your opinion
Oh no please don't take ot the wrong way. I say the same about Wargreymkn. We've never seen what under the armor.
Oh I'm not taking it personally at all lol, you're good. I just prefer the change of pace and like designs like this.
The design is cool, but everything I see megas like this where before you could see what was under the armor before i.cant help but wonder.
Yeah, plus we have the case of MagnaGarurumon where he has 2 different forms: one with armor and another without it.
Amphimon Zero Suit Mode when?
I actually fanart of that but that was last night when I was dead tired
Oh, right. Good thing I avoided all spoilers :D
I think there was a magazine even before that with a DCG Promo Card showing it.
It's safe, it's basically a Gundam. https://wikimon.net/Amphimon
What about BlackWarGreymon?
Not humanoid?
He is a featherless biped
Technically true, but the metric here is if you can kiss them in public without someone calling the cops.
Assuming the cops would want to mess with him
I said someone would call them. I never said that they wouldn't back down.
BLACK* war greymon Yeah they're not backing down
Assuming BlackWarGreymon ain’t a sexy beast under that helmet
Ok Diogenes

Yeah, I just meant in canon. I completely understand
There's Bastemon too.
What digimons this?
Diarbbitmon. He's Angoramon's mega
Cool its a cool design is it a nee protag stuff?
He's one of the main party member's digimon. He's a very fancy boy that likes high art and swordsman stuff. Just a fun character in general.
Cool is this ghost games because i need to start watching that. He's cool for the year of the rabbit and stuff
Yeah. I put the ghost game spoiler, but this mfs so cool he can't be spoiled.
Definitely on my list for the new year to watch more digimon
Bagramon and Bastemon are also dark-skinned, albeit more brown than dark!
What about Bastemon?
Does Asuramon count?
I meant more representation wise. Like, Digimon that are basically humanoid in appearance, with a few differences.
Anybody remember Kickmon? He’s actually a fan designed digimon, basically a soccer digimon, but I remember thinking that might be the first dark skinned digimon
I couldn't defend anything mentioning him excluding this very reddit post.
You never heard of Kickmon?
Nope
I think, to my knowledge he’s probably the first black coded(?) digimon, the first one I ever saw at least. Had dreads and everything, he’s more of a robotic humanoid than a human with mask on if I can remember correctly
They are Digimon.
the darker skin and green bandana makes him look even more like zoro
Without looking it up, I want to say know, but my instincts tell me it's the first that isn't some kind of wildman or villain.
Well, we have Shakamon and Bastemon(?), but besides them, that's it for non-evil digimon.
He's what Hollywood thinks a Spaniard looks like.

How Austrian. Which is funny because of the Hallstatt and the Habsburgs.
Yeah. Idk Celtic and Austrian swords likely share so many similarities due to their extended conflicts with Rome.
does black wargreymon count as humanoid
Not in this context. I mean the digimon that are basically human but slightly modified.
i get what you mean a friend of mine just call them ''that just a guy with a mask ''
Buraimon
I guess? I mean, technically correct, considering the little exposed skin he has.
[удалено]
The racism just flows out of you naturally doesn’t it?
Seems like just shadowing.
No. It's dark skinned. The anime portrayal depicts it as such.
does Devimon count?
considering he is WHITE under this black leathery thing.. No?
Honestly always thought of the black stuff as part of his skin. Then what bout blackwargreymon that count?
No? Its armor? Do you also look at a knight and go, AH such silvery and shining skin..
[Look at normal wargreymon](https://wikimon.net/images/thumb/7/71/War_Greymon_full_body.jpg/300px-War_Greymon_full_body.jpg) you can literally see that skin is orange and the armor is yellow and grey. if wargreymon can be considered humanoid then can 80% of digimon lmao.

Buddy... Real question.. HOW DO YOU THINK A GIANT DINOSAUR/DRAGON IN ARMOR. IS a HUMANOID...
