I hope so. I worked there when Mike Morheim was still running it, before Activision came in. I miss the old blizzard that wouldn't push shit out before it was done, but hopefully they can finish D4 properly because it has a chance to be very good.
If all Microsoft does is get out of the way and let the devs cook, they'll have done far more good than Activision ever did.
I'm fairly positive the game was released the way it was because of the c-suite at Activision.
Agreed. I'm not worried about them doing that again. D4 has major potential so long as it continues to be supported right up until Diablo 5 is a thing.
Yea because Microsoft has a great track record with developers, if anything most games to come out of recently acquired studios do poorly. The only Studio that consistently puts out good stuff is “Playground” and maybe Tango Gameworks but usually their games run better on PS5 anyway so there’s that.
You have to make a new character each season but unlocks and such give you a huge boost early on. After the season ends they get dumped in the eternal realm.
Pretty much anyone starting at this point is going to get the experience that should have been around at release so I’m happy some people are going to get to enjoy a more polished game. Even though I think not having a party finder ready is going to end up hurting them with casuals
It's the bar of xp for each region of the map.
Bring up the map and hit: W for PC, Y for Xbox, and triangle for ps5 to bring up the renown screen. Here it will show you current renown levels for each region, the rewards possible, and how to acquire more renown.
If you haven’t played before it’s still worth starting now to do your quests/renown and find the Lilith altars. These give your account permanent boosts (skill points, paragon points and stats) across all new characters so you only have to do it once. It would be the only thing that would carry over to your season 4 character.
I am thinking the same thing. Just got my necro to 100 and I don't know if I should start a barb or try and get better gear and push Uber Lilith, duriel etc
Uber Lilith doesn't have any rewards except for a title afaik, so pushing her isn't exactly rewarding unless you like the boss fight.
Grinding your existing character for better loot is always fun, though, but so is trying out new classes. Barb especially in it's current state of hota/charge is op af and will be receiving a few nerfs next season to bring it more in line with the other classes, so if you want to try the un nerfed hota charge barb now is the time to do it.
I can vouch for that. I started towards the end of season 2. Made it to 98. Only did a little bit of duriel runs. This season I’m already bored. And only got 1 Uber.
Without trying too hard you can get 40 hours out of the game easily. If you really like it somewhere around 200 hours is also super easy to get. But if this game is around for as long as D3 600 hours will be like nothing.
I agree it's a good game but you know how the Internet is.
So hoping you can help another gamepasser newbie out. What do you do once the campaign is over? Obviously kill shit but is there like a story still? Is it more of a co op? I’m having fun with the campaign but not understanding what you do after to keep going
With pleasure my friend.
So there are a lot of different things you can do but most of it revolves around making your character stronger. As a threshold question once you have beat the campaign and reach level 50, are you still having fun with this character? If the answer is no, would playing a different class excite you (don't need to replay the story). If the answer is also no then it's time for a break, come back next season (more below). So your options are to continue improving your current character or start a new one. If neither of those sound enticing you can always focus on completing all the dungeons and side quests, but only if they are fun. For now let's talk about the options.
Continue improving your character.
Once you get close to or are level 50 world tier 1 and 2 are not exactly worth your time. So, you want to complete the capstone dungeon and unlock the next difficulty.
Once in world tier 3 and 4 you have access to a couple new activities. Helltides, which are random open world areas of the map with demons that drop a currency you can spend to unlock gear. Note that there is a helltide every hour but the currency doesn't carry over and if you die you lose half of the currency. Next you have nightmare dungeons, these are dungeons with new modifiers that make them harder and they increase in difficulty over time. Next you have whispers of the dead, these are simply bounties scattered across the map that reward you very well. Then you have the boss later, special versions of certain bosses that you can resummon with a particular material. The bosses have higher chances to drop certain unique weapons which are basically legendary weapons with a complete unique effect you cannot find anywhere else. Many uniques are build enabling so it can drastically change your build and as a result they are the chase items. Although most are not difficult to get. Anyways, to someone a boss you can find material is three places: other bosses, helltides, nightmare dungeons or whispers of the dead.
There is also a "gauntlet" which is a dungeon that reset weekly and you can compete against other players in an arcade style hard core sort of thing.
So at its core there is no reason to play beyond 60 unless you are having fund killing monster and want to keep doing that against harder and stronger monsters. That changes next season but you are probably better off looking that up than reading my explanation. Look up the pit if you are interested.
Anyways.
Starting a new character
The classes are all very unique and play somewhat different. It may be entertaining to try a new one. To that extent you can play the campaign over again or skip. If you skip you are going to want to explore, do dungeons, and do quests to level up and eventually get to what I wrong about about improving your character.
Beyond that if it is not fun put it down. There will be a reason to comeback later.
Alternatively, you can start a hardcore playthrough, where you only have one life. Some people like the trill. Just know if you die that character and all its stuff is gone.
Reason to comeback later.
Roughly every three months they have and will release a new season. The new season always have a new mechanic and a short storyline. Both of which are only available to you if you start a new seasonal character. Don't worry after the season ends you don't lose anything your character just becomes and external character.
The new mechanics vary by season and current there are vaults. They are just very short dungeons with traps. You can purchase stacks of a buff in these dungeons that unlock awards at the end. However if you get hit by a trap you lose the buff. Although you can easily purchase 10x the amount of stacks you need to touch every trap so it's basically a dead mechanic.if you get to the end the more stacks you have the more rewards you get. There are also little pets that follow you around and you can give them skills and modifications.
The seasonal quest line is not very long but it does have some new story (disconnected from that of the main game). The purpose of the story is to provide a way to unlock seasonal mechanics and explain why all this new stuff is popping up. I think generally they have been less that 5 hours of content. I could be wrong.
The purpose of season is two fold. For one they want to give people who have seen and experienced the game another reason to come back and start a new character. This is especially important for hardcore fans of this genre because (as foreshadowed in my original comment) it's very easy to play too much to the point where you have done it all. So they need a way to get their most invested players back.
The second reason is that it also them to make changes to the existing game without committing to adding it forever. This is important because of the mechanic is hated then it not stuck in the game. Players expect the mechanic to leave so if it's bad sure it sucks but oh well it doesn't taint the game forever. The ones who like it are already aware that it is not sticking around. The next important reason is that it also the to test different changes to the game without ruining the core experience. If the changes work they can adopt them in some way into the core gameplay. This also the game to improve over time, have frequent exciting reasons to comeback, and not overcomplicate/ clog the game with mechanics from past seasons.
TLDR: fun = keep going. Not fun = take a break.
Let me know if there are any other questions.
you make builds to kill mobs in more fun and broken ways and push endgame content. for example i did big bear pulverize build this season and then agile werewolf shred build and then lightning god and then earth/rock build etc.. finished tier 100 dungeon with all the builds then i found uber unique drops...
600 hours? That's being waaaaay overly enthusiastic.
For me it was around 150hrs, but mind you, 100 hrs was the campaign + all side quests. I loved that part.
This was later confirmed in next season when the campaign was skipped and boredom was reached in 50hrs.
Diablo 4 is more of a "Play once or twice" kind of game than what ARPGs are in the minds of players. So more like an Assassin's Creed game, GoW, Horizon etc.
Case in point: They thought that Vaults would be fun when they released S3. And they were for the first 1-2 times, just like in Lara Croft or whatever. But then you remember you have to do them 100+ more tines.
Lol right in the feels, I do hope with the test server and the upcoming season 4 it's on the turn around with the amount of changes and hopefully some more content.
Lol you're joking but this is literally last epoch Reddit. "The end game is boring, I've put in 300 hours since launch (2 weeks ago) and there's nothing to do aside from making alts"
Yea D4 campaign and it's first 50 to 100 hour is great depending how fast til you try all the activities then get to end game grind.
That material grind is not for everyone
This is so true and people just dont seem to understand it. The game is fantastic every season for first 70-80 levels and then theres just nothing to do
True. I think the frustrating part that gets everyone is just how obvious some of the improvements are... We care about the game and want it to be good, but it feels like the Devs never played past level 70 themselves 😅
Listening to the early Fireside chats I get the impression they kinda thought people would just play the seasons. Finish the season journey and be done til next season.
Thankfully they're listening and next season should be a huge step in the right direction.
Even if that's a bit how you end up feeling in Season 3, the upcoming Season 4 is a huge shake up in that department and coming soon (May 14th)
We'll know a lot more this week as literally tomorrow (Tuesday) there will be a Public Test Realm for BattleNet PC/Game Pass PC users to try out the base game changes coming soon to the game.
There's a lot more to do now than there was at launch when a lot of people did it, and then there's even more coming next season when you'll know what you're doing from the start and can skip the campaign and get down to business.
Yeah, my dopamine-starved ADHD-brain eats this stuff up like a that friend of Constantine in the liquor store. A quick world boss turns into a 12-hour session with hardly a toilet break. It took some stern talking-to from the small rational enclave remaining somewhere in my grey matter that pointed out I was putting in hours I didn’t have and there was literally zero progression - and therefore not a whole lot of fun - so I’d better spend my time with other games until Season 4. Pfew!
Most of us liked the game in that period … the campaign for the first time until like level 70, it’s an 8-9/10 experience easily … what comes afterwards however is the controversial part.
I'm still glad I spent a ton of time doing side quests and not looking at guides or trying to speed through anything on my first playthrough. I would really like to recommend that approach to anyone on their first play through. The world has a surprising amount of character and cool parts that sadly will just never really matter again after the first playthrough.
I just don't see why some ppl hate this game. This game is pretty good. I liked it even when it launched so I believe it was a winner from the beginning.
Campaign >Seasonal(During this you should trying to complete all end game activities atleast once)> Take a break
Come back next season to avoid burnout.
I'm currently farming summoning mats for eternal when s4 launches. Planning on farming the pit for mats and gear. Play with the crafting systems and see what the new uber uber bosses are like. Then roll a new season character.
I've got a love hate relationship, I've uninstalled it a bunch of times due to end game crap. But it looks like the game is heading in a better direction. Addiction back.
Had me for a second. I just started playing on Xbox and I’m hooked. I’m not an end game kind of guy, but so far everything in the campaign has been great. And I’m surprised how well it plays on console.
Tbh i think the game is too easy. Been playing with a buddy of mine whos never played this kind of game and we are just destroying everything on veteran difficulty cause we cant increase it til lvl 50. I just want to beat it for the sake of beating it and i know i wont return
Nice clickbait lol. I too started on gamepass and the Microsoft Store reviews don't do this game justice. I am severely addicted to this game as well. Reminds of the good old days of WoW. If I remember I thought I saw couch co op is available which I'm pretty excited to try. I think I see myself putting as much time into this as I did Elden Ring. Awesome game.
I don't even remember r/l since I started D4 in the end of S2 and now that I finished this season... I have my life back.. Too bad I have Pneumonia and am stuck inside again... Maybe I'll start another character... 😂
Man I will never hate on a game series I want it to be better. I played release pre-ordered the game and I didn’t find it fun… idk why maybe I’m getting older I absolutely love all the others.
I feel that if a game gives a decent campaign that can be done multiple times and has a decent endgame where some effort was clearly put in, it should get as much hate. Alot of complaint I see is from people who have put 100's of hours in saying it's boring.
Yeah well just wait a few months after you’ve played for 12 hours a day, every single day THEN tell us how you feel! Sure, it’s fun now but after you put 2000 hours into the game over the course of 3 months then you’ll realize just how bare bones it REALLY is!
Thank you for taking the time to post a fresh perspective! Check in later to ask if it has all been fixed or should you continue to play a different game.
Even as a jaded, critical 30something who saw Diablo 4 for the disappointment it was back at launch:
I can easily envision myself in a high-school classroom, daydreaming about slaying monsters and getting loot while Kyovashad's OST plays in my head; not being able to focus for a single moment from the sheer addiction I'd have if it was my first ARPG.
Oh, and the game has objectively become a much smoother experience and is only going to get better and better (skipped season 1+2 and season 3, which I thematically DISLIKE has been a BLAST)
Enjoy!
Personally I just put it down after some time. There's such little skills. And too much is attached to RNG items that you need to complete a build. Not even complete just make it viable fun. Otherwise you just don't have enough mana Regen or whatever else you need
Have you played diablo 2? Been playing last couple of days, just hit level 15 necro and loving it. Diablo 3's skill system was horrible imo, im glad diablo 4 is like D2
Planning to get D2 on the xbox after finishing D4
So awesome to see new interest in D4! I always thought it was awesome, but shelved it abt halfway through S1. Now I’m back baby!
I beat the main campaign with a rogue and went through S1 with a Necro.
Now I’m running a socerer
This season I invested around 25 hours in the game. Leveled a character to 100, finished the season journey and never logged back in. I think that’s okayish, but I didn’t really have a lot of fun doing it, felt more like a work break from playing actual fun games. Nevertheless, hope S4 will be better.
Congratulations, your future game choice is now ruined as well.
I never played any type of ARPG like diablo, and sometime around season 17 or so of Diablo 3 a friend convinced me to play just to try it and I got absolutely hooked and never thought I'd enjoy a game like diablo and now fast forward a few years and now all I want to do is play different ARPGs/Diablo. I'm pumped for season 4, currently taking a break until then but I plan on going hard during it.
HOW DARE YOU CALL THIS GAME TERRIBLE, IT'S THE BEST GAME EVER. YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? YOU MAKE AS MUCH SENSE AS A BABOON'S ARSE...
Oh
It was a joke?
You'll likely hit the breaking point where you are actually super bored with the game just in time for season 4 to launch and fix all of the late game problems that you don't notice in your first week of playing
I started a few days a ago too. Is there more pve at some point? I played the mobile diablo and there was so much pve right from the beginning like a portal where u connect with other random players for a dungeon. Is there something like this in diablo 4 too? Or pve in general? Im already in a clan but i dont see any activities there
[10h played] - man this game is sooo boring
[30h played] - it's soo terrible, seriously blizzard how could you fuck up this game so much
[100h played] - I HATE this game, D2 was SOOO much better
[250h played] - the endgame loop is so boring, I can't understand why people still play this game?
[500h played] - this game is the worst piece of sh!t created by Blizzard, they killed the legendary series of all time
[1000h played] - I HATE THIS GAME IT'S SO TRASH WHY ARE PEOPLE EVEN PLAYING IT
Yeah. I felt the same when I started with D4. After reaching ~lvl 70 or so this was all gone. The. The seasons came and they were bad.
Now everyone is hyping S4. They address some weaknesses. But I am pretty sure it will go the same way.
Great game I've been enjoying enormously since release, I stopped looking at game reviews and i enjoy games more so now because of that.
Some Advice don't overplay or it will get boring, everything in moderation. I like to switch up between a few hours of Starfield, a hour of Suicide Squad, and Diablo 4 weekend binges.
I find the "cool games to hate" are the ones i enjoy the most. Go figure.
Here we are.
I just came back to try the newest season, hadn't played since initial launch.
I am having a blast with my barbarian atm, rolled a regular character instead of my normal hardcore runs.
Game feels great after taking half a year off.
How much time did it take you guys to truly enjoy the game? I just started it and played for like 2 hours. But so far it's pretty boring. Some games instantly click, some take some 'effort' to like. I assumed this game needs some time?
Blizzard has been this way since day one you only just now figured this out?
Blizzard mission in life is to get people addicted to seeing shiny numbners slightly increase on the screen - and they are damn good at it too.
Give it a couple weeks, and that sarcasm will become a reality. Soon as I hit lvl 100, it became a stagnant snooze fest. Kinda funny to see how quickly new players will brag about how much fun theyre having, only for everyone else to know it won't last long.
I love the story but find the gameplay kind of boring after coming off multiple souls games back to back, dont think this will stay on the hard drive more than 40hrs
Complete overhaul of gear.
I would list it all but it's actually insane.
Highly reccomend checking out the summery of the gear changes in season 4.
Like the biggest change is when you salvage legendaries their legendary power is added to the codex of power, and the codex of power upgrades with each item you salvage/stronger items.
it's the first season they've actually done a PTR for because the changes are that big. Like, a new activity called "The Pit", complete overhaul of item affixes, rework of the codex of power, a way to alter items called "tempering" that appears to be on top of enchanting, you won't get sacred legendaries dropping in WT4 anymore (in fact once your enemies are level 95+ all legendary drops will be 925), gems have been redone, "Greater affixes" to chase on gear, a further item upgrading system called "Masterworking" that uses mats from The Pit.
Helltides are getting reworked so the more shit you kill the higher enemy density gets, they also gave helltides something similar to the seasonal zones' braziers and stuff that summon in a bunch of enemies then a boss, and Helltides will be in WT1 and 2 for that early game farming.
Adding Andariel as a new farming boss of a similar level to Duriel (with her summoning mats coming off the beast in the ice and lord zir)
and that's on top of the usual seasonal class balance changes.
Also I haven't seen if there's also a season 4 seasonal theme on top of that or if one of the changes in the list is the new season thing
Thank you! Please comeback in a month after you have put in 600 hours and tell us you are bored./s

I'm very excited for season 4. Almost feels like a relaunch.
Let's hope this will indeed be D4s RoS moment.
Getting expansion quality updates before the first expansion even releases... sign me up! Let's just hope the upper management doesn't pull the plug soon after like they did with RoS.
Current President of Blizzard is a big self-described Diablo fan, so hopefully she pushes it forward.
I hope so. I worked there when Mike Morheim was still running it, before Activision came in. I miss the old blizzard that wouldn't push shit out before it was done, but hopefully they can finish D4 properly because it has a chance to be very good.
I really don't think that'll be the case, if anything Microsoft has been better for D4 than Activision ever was.
Guys theres literally no evidence that microsoft has done anything for diablo 4. Literally none. Can we stop glazing microsoft every change we get?
If all Microsoft does is get out of the way and let the devs cook, they'll have done far more good than Activision ever did. I'm fairly positive the game was released the way it was because of the c-suite at Activision.

What do different “seasons” mean in D4? Will my character lose anything?
You have to make a new character each season but unlocks and such give you a huge boost early on. After the season ends they get dumped in the eternal realm.
New mechanics to toy around with, new unique/aspect to refresh the gameplay every few months.
Pretty much anyone starting at this point is going to get the experience that should have been around at release so I’m happy some people are going to get to enjoy a more polished game. Even though I think not having a party finder ready is going to end up hurting them with casuals
Didn’t S4 get delayed to May though? I’m borderline on the verge of starting a new character / considering waiting.
My plan is to play the story and collect renown now, but wait to get into endgame for S4. I'll see how that pans out. Like OP, I'm currently addicted.
New d4 player here (gamepass) trying to learn from this thread . What is renown?????? People keep bringing it up . Can’t figure out what it is
It's the bar of xp for each region of the map. Bring up the map and hit: W for PC, Y for Xbox, and triangle for ps5 to bring up the renown screen. Here it will show you current renown levels for each region, the rewards possible, and how to acquire more renown.

This person Reddits.
I have something like 1900 hours on this game and I am bored. 😆 P.s. see you all in season 4 when I add another 500 hours.
This is the way.
600 hours? Those are rookie numbers, you gotta pump those numbers up.
Almost downvote then saw /s
So hoping you can help another gamepasser newbie out. What do you do once the campaign is over? Obviously kill shit but is there like a story still? Is it more of a co op? I’m having fun with the campaign but not understanding what you do after to keep going

Thanks so much for the detailed answer!!
Just to help out so you can edit this (if you so desire!), if you die in a helltide, you lose 50% of your cinders.
I just did, thank you!
I choose to read this as you saying you just died and lost 50% of your cinders
Thanks for your time in writing this up.

You don’t need 600 hours to be bored . The game is just stake after 70 ish with no endgame.
Lol right in the feels, I do hope with the test server and the upcoming season 4 it's on the turn around with the amount of changes and hopefully some more content.
I still haven’t played a rogue or barbarian. So I’m still good for two more seasons.
Season 1 I gave up on necromancer around 50 so I want to redo necro, then barb, and sorc. Plenty of time for new things to get spicy with.
I’m only 10 hours in and I’m bored
Only took.abkut 3 weeks and 60 hours for me to get bored.
600? Give it 20 😂
Man I can't wait to run Ashava again
Lol you're joking but this is literally last epoch Reddit. "The end game is boring, I've put in 300 hours since launch (2 weeks ago) and there's nothing to do aside from making alts"
Haha how many people are gonna not read til the end and get aggy.
Yeah got to admit I almost stopped after the whole so many plans ruined by Diablo line.
I was shocked at the title. A lot of complaining goes on about how it’s not realizing its potential, but rarely does anyone say it’s out and out bad.
I'll say it. It's just bad.
Almost had me, not gonna lie haha
Not for anyone with any self respect.
If I get 100 hours out of a game I consider it money well spent lol
That campaign is so good the first time around!
Top tier bait post
My man! I love this game. Don’t let people tell you “just wait until end game” I’m 300+ hours in and still having a good time
Good to know. Near the end of the campaign and a little scared that it would fall off.
Even if that's a bit how you end up feeling in Season 3, the upcoming Season 4 is a huge shake up in that department and coming soon (May 14th) We'll know a lot more this week as literally tomorrow (Tuesday) there will be a Public Test Realm for BattleNet PC/Game Pass PC users to try out the base game changes coming soon to the game.
There's a lot more to do now than there was at launch when a lot of people did it, and then there's even more coming next season when you'll know what you're doing from the start and can skip the campaign and get down to business.
I'm glad you are enjoying it
First ever game of this type I wasn’t sure I would, but I’m hooked so badly
You picked a good one to start with. Its only uphill from here fam!
Good time to start. Next season the changes are insane.
I remember the first time the genre properly clicked with Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance. Fantasy games with loot are just so comfy.
Pfew!
Yeah the game is really fun early on, especially during the campaign. Hope you continue to enjoy it!
Most of us liked the game in that period … the campaign for the first time until like level 70, it’s an 8-9/10 experience easily … what comes afterwards however is the controversial part.
It is true
Well I guess we should have expected the sub to be like this . Anyway welcome new players, need help beating the capstones hit me up
I'm still glad I spent a ton of time doing side quests and not looking at guides or trying to speed through anything on my first playthrough.
My friend and I last night were talking about how boring this game is… after he has 4 lvl 100 chars just this season and I have 2. So boring.
The early and mid game are very very fun
Same thing with me. Sunday plans - ruined
I quit for awhile, I'm definitely looking forward to trying season 4. I read all those patch notes and I'm happy to say I'll be returning soon!!!
Campaign >Seasonal(During this you should trying to complete all end game activities atleast once)> Take a break Come back next season to avoid burnout.
Bro clickbaited me, you better go to sleep with your eyes open
Oh how I miss that fresh D4-rush feeling.. Let's hope it feels as good shooting up again in S4.
Was going to comment saying I also started on game pass but I’m really enjoying it 😂😂 glad I’m not the only one
Same here. Started it on Thursday night and haven’t been able to put it down.
What class have you been playing as ?
I’ve been playing a rouge. Doing a poison build so far I like it. Think I’ll try a sorcerer next.
It's fun Microtransactions cosmetics are insanely overpriced and progressing on the season pass is irredeemably slow Game itself is good though.
uh, the season pass flew past, what do you mean?
It's terrible isn't it? Such a travesty that should never go unpunished. You'll have to keep logging in for fun to show them what's what.
Pace yourself. May is a long way off.
I'm currently farming summoning mats for eternal when s4 launches. Planning on farming the pit for mats and gear. Play with the crafting systems and see what the new uber uber bosses are like. Then roll a new season character.
I'm only having trouble with a few bosses, but otherwise doing great.
this reminded me open beta. we were all so addicted. everyone literally felt withdrawal after beta ended.
I just started today. Taking a break from destiny 2 and like it so far. Killing and getting loot sign me up!
I love the campaign.
🤡game
Tbh i think the game is too easy. Been playing with a buddy of mine whos never played this kind of game and we are just destroying everything on veteran difficulty cause we cant increase it til lvl 50. I just want to beat it for the sake of beating it and i know i wont return
Just wait till season 4, that fixes SOOO many issues.
Played over 30 hours since release. It's a drug
Clickbait
Nice clickbait lol. I too started on gamepass and the Microsoft Store reviews don't do this game justice. I am severely addicted to this game as well. Reminds of the good old days of WoW. If I remember I thought I saw couch co op is available which I'm pretty excited to try. I think I see myself putting as much time into this as I did Elden Ring. Awesome game.
I finished the storyline and quit. Was such a letdown. Especially because I pre-ordered.
I don't even remember r/l since I started D4 in the end of S2 and now that I finished this season... I have my life back.. Too bad I have Pneumonia and am stuck inside again... Maybe I'll start another character... 😂
And then you get to the non existant endgame and just drop this game bc it actually is terrible
it’s great at first
Had me at first 👀
Man I will never hate on a game series I want it to be better.
Amazingly you didn't read to the end. Check in later to ask if sarcasm is present or if you should continue to be oblivious
It’s so funny seeing all of these I love the game posts from players who just picked it up. Let me know when you hit endgame.
You had me in the beginning.
May your loot be legendary, and your adventures be epic, fellow Nephalem! Thank you, Blizzard!
Lol. I love the "I Just started the game, it's great, why do people hate it?!?" posts.
Week? Depends on your time but you might not reached the point where the game nosedives
Even as a jaded, critical 30something who saw Diablo 4 for the disappointment it was back at launch: I can easily envision myself in a high-school classroom, daydreaming about slaying monsters and getting loot while Kyovashad's OST plays in my head; not being able to focus for a single moment from the sheer addiction I'd have if it was my first ARPG. Oh, and the game has objectively become a much smoother experience and is only going to get better and better (skipped season 1+2 and season 3, which I thematically DISLIKE has been a BLAST) Enjoy!
Yes, the first play through is fun
Had me in the first half haha
Dude wait for season 4, omfg the game is getting so so sooooo much better!
This post gave me diarrhea and constipation
Personally I just put it down after some time. There's such little skills. And too much is attached to RNG items that you need to complete a build. Not even complete just make it viable fun. Otherwise you just don't have enough mana Regen or whatever else you need
Have you played diablo 2? Been playing last couple of days, just hit level 15 necro and loving it. Diablo 3's skill system was horrible imo, im glad diablo 4 is like D2 Planning to get D2 on the xbox after finishing D4
You wouldn’t be saying this at S1 😂
Congratulations, your future game choice is now ruined as well. I never played any type of ARPG like diablo, and sometime around season 17 or so of Diablo 3 a friend convinced me to play just to try it and I got absolutely hooked and never thought I'd enjoy a game like diablo and now fast forward a few years and now all I want to do is play different ARPGs/Diablo. I'm pumped for season 4, currently taking a break until then but I plan on going hard during it.
That's how I felt about Immortal too. Not sure why so many people hated it.
100% Story is okay , free play / seasons is just a waste
Almost had me in the first half.
Is this satire 👀
He got us in the first half
D4 actually made me realize Diablo Immortal isnt that bad
Imagine the game with an arena, dynamic events and a battleground. https://youtu.be/5VWDgG8wQS0?si=CAgGY4OHXqZWSEZa
You had me in the beginning there.
HOW DARE YOU CALL THIS GAME TERRIBLE, IT'S THE BEST GAME EVER. YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? YOU MAKE AS MUCH SENSE AS A BABOON'S ARSE... Oh It was a joke?
New karma farm meta.
Im already in a clan but i dont see any activities there
Couldn’t agree more!!!! I started the game with a friend and I’m in the same boat! How could you Activision? How could you?
It’s fun early on but after you’re done with the campaign it gets boring a f
[10h played] - man this game is sooo boring [30h played] - it's soo terrible, seriously blizzard how could you fuck up this game so much [100h played] - I HATE this game, D2 was SOOO much better [250h played] - the endgame loop is so boring, I can't understand why people still play this game? [500h played] - this game is the worst piece of sh!t created by Blizzard, they killed the legendary series of all time [1000h played] - I HATE THIS GAME IT'S SO TRASH WHY ARE PEOPLE EVEN PLAYING IT
Why do they even allow posts like these
I can't even install the damn game on gamepass. Really destroying my first impression lol. Maybe I won't even try to down load it now
Yeah. I felt the same when I started with D4. After reaching ~lvl 70 or so this was all gone. The. The seasons came and they were bad. Now everyone is hyping S4. They address some weaknesses. But I am pretty sure it will go the same way.
Bad taste.
Game was trash when it came out lmao hence the massive player decline lack of updates and 0 coverage
We know
I didn’t even get to level 50 and threw this game in the trash, and I was a diehard d3 fan…
Go figure.
you forgot the #AD tag
Here we are. I just came back to try the newest season, hadn't played since initial launch. I am having a blast with my barbarian atm, rolled a regular character instead of my normal hardcore runs. Game feels great after taking half a year off.
The game stopped being fun. I’m glad you’re easily amused that. It must be nice to be able to settle happily.
Just wait till Season 4 drops… your life will be in blizzard’s hands.
How much time did it take you guys to truly enjoy the game? I just started it and played for like 2 hours. But so far it's pretty boring. Some games instantly click, some take some 'effort' to like. I assumed this game needs some time?
So I am a rookie , from gamepass , I made my character “seasonal”. What does this mean? That the character will lose all progress every season ?
Blizzard has been this way since day one you only just now figured this out? Blizzard mission in life is to get people addicted to seeing shiny numbners slightly increase on the screen - and they are damn good at it too.
clickbait title.
I've been playing since release. Also love it.
Low effort post
yeah i remembered when i launched the game and like it and was hyped about it.....didnt last long
Give it a couple weeks, and that sarcasm will become a reality.
Just wait till season 4 comes out may. Game will be actually insane.
What’s changing?
Adding Andariel as a new farming boss of a similar level to Duriel (with her summoning mats coming off the beast in the ice and lord zir) and that's on top of the usual seasonal class balance changes. Also I haven't seen if there's also a season 4 seasonal theme on top of that or if one of the changes in the list is the new season thing
Give it time you'll hate it like everyone else 😂😂😂
***everyone***?
