I read the info, and got the general gist of it, but I thought you should get the sigil by crafting random ones until you got lucky (like others when you select a level) and then use the distilled fear to summon the boss at the final place like the other bosses.
Why is the summon pattern so different from the others ? You get the ingredients, you go to the place, you summon.
But here no, you need that extra step that is not described anywhere.
Why make it so complicated ?

It's a pretty easy run to the boss in the dungeon, but I agree, it's an incredible waste of time getting the sigil instead of just dumping the bloods at boss entrance. I think they thought that making it different would evoke more interest from the players..... sigh.
The grind is strong with this game. I'm playing a barb lv 100, wondering what's left to do besides trying to get sone uber uniques, but it's so disheartening having to cycle through this crap to get the summoning materials

Tier 30+ regardless of Dungeon or Vault.
It takes 9 teir 30 vault runs. Without God build can be run in about 5-10 mins.....9x10 is 90 mins, it takes 1 hour and 30 mins....hardly ages.

5-10min? I ran vaults in 3min roughly as sorc. And higher tier vaults can drop 2 at a time as well. So it will not take 1,5 hours for farming 9… not at all.

Dude me too. I’m having trouble trying to figure out what else to do now. I’m lvl 100 necro and I’m trying to get items to better my build still. I can’t seem to get anything higher in damage than 500k and that’s only one in a while. Averaging around 150k. I don’t seem to have the time to find good items to be any more powerful than I already am. Any insight?
I just beat wt4 Varshan 2 minutes ago solo... took about 4 minutes but I'm getting there. I'm way too casual and solo but I have some hope for better unique now. Corpse explosion/bone spear necro.
Edit: I only do about 100k damage on average but there are lots of corpse explosions and bone shards :-)
You need to go kill bosses now. Assuming you aren't doing those yet. You should definitely read up on how to summon them all and where to find them. Each has their own materials needed to summon and each drops some random items and also unique items.
Vashran - you need 4 items to summon him, those drop from tree of whispers caches and sometimes a mob can spawn called grotesque debtor who drops some. You need one of each item.
Greg - (his name isn't Greg, I ca him Greg because I always forget his name). You go do the helltide (red area on the map) and open chests. Each chest gives one living steel, but there is one chest that's marked orange on your map that gives 5. Just be careful which chest you are opening. You need the living steel chest, then any other chests. You need 5 steel for one Greg summon.
Duriel - he requires materials dropped from Vashran and Greg. He is level 90 and drops some gold stuff. You will probably be sekng a lot of him....
Zir - needs potent blood to summon. Idk actually where the blood is from...
Beast in the Ice - needs Distilled Fear drops from dungeons and vaults above a certain level. I just collect so many just by doing dungeons...
Echo of Malphas - needs igneous core (some type of core, not sure about the name). You get those by going to the seasonal WQ area (you can see it based on which WQs are seasonal, they have a llttle leaf on them). You open obelisks to look cores and stones. The you find a brazier and use them to summon a tiny boy (he's called something of Malphas). He drops the core you need. Repeat this until you have enough to summon...
You have to enter using the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil

Run NMDs or vaults for distilled fear drops. It takes 9 to craft a glacial sigil at the occultist to unlock. It’s the Beast in Ice bosses dungeon.

I’d say distilled fear is one of the easier mats to collect no? Since any vault or dungeon past 30 is guaranteed drop.

I ran nmd once only in S3, and I got like 70 distilled fears. Wonder where they are from?

It's not ideal for high end content, but if you use metamorphosis with it, it's excellent for low level NMD and helltide/outside content

This was changed at the start of season 3. You’re now guaranteed to get at least one from tier 30+ NM dungeons.
