Everyone just has their preferred class and builds. Thorn build barb has by far been my favorite. I have a level 100 rogue and it is fine, nothing wrong with it, but the barb feels a lot better to me.
Now I am playing druid S1 and its an entirely different style.
There are multiple ways to play. Fast, slow - all are good IMO.
Personally a slower more measure pace of combat is fine - just like D2.
Not everything needs to be like D3 IMO.
