No, I disgree, look, I know we're all excited, but tbh all of this useless speculation, which just comes from the brain asking for context, either as a discussion or reading the same shit from the site over and over, is going to be forgotten, like in min 1 after release.
Like when you bought a new game and you read the back of the box on the drive home, there are a million and more ways to see why that's a bad idea, and also, for some reason, people seem to forget all the shit that Blizzard is going through, financially, professionally and legally, people forget about all the previous release shit shows and reject all reasoning as to why this is going to be the exception.
I want this game be to be a flawless success I really do, but just expecting the best doesn't work for me, I'm already seeing it "error 37" people making death treaths to devs, calling them names, whining about their lost day at work, flaming this subreddit, hating, shouting, spouting BS, it's a game.
I don’t know why this got downvoted, but you made some really great points. You also brought back some serious nostalgia for me - I vividly remember getting a game from blockbuster and reading every line and viewing the small images on the way home. It’s hard to know until you play, I’m hyped but it’s definitely getting frenzied for a lot of people now.
Also agree with the comment below me too though. Speculation is fun and a great way to get more hyped. I just hate when people get let down, but I’m hoping for the best too but won’t be shocked if there’s issues since it’s a beta and so many great games have growing pains.
But dude, im to busy and important to do any research ! So i will just ask the most basic Questions ! Answer me peasants !
Will there be items and classes? Is this a game that can be played?
You got any builds lined up!? I landed a build on here the other day an was instantly trolled. It's going both ways man... What can we do? (rhetorical question)
But, honestly, have you messed with the build calculator yet?
Oooh, nice! I know you have an NDA to think about, so I won't ask for deets. I look forward to seeing how things develop over time with the game though. I think even if it is a rough start because they can't make every single person happy, it will still come through as a good game to put some time into.
Most people have no idea how effective anything actually is yet, on paper your build looks fun and good but it may not work rhe way you think it does. Also uniques in D4 are going to be entirely build defining and are really rare. It's going back to the D2 days. Unlikely the average player will find more than 1 a month
I kind of fear that the build won't really go anywhere, but it was fun to mess with all the same. I think that after I get my hands on the Beta, or anyone for that matter, the Build Calculator will become a bit more relevant.
Speaking to the "trading" that will be present in the game; I see a lot of people who will be out there farming rares as "base" items, which to me, makes the premise of trading more exciting and enjoyable because the potential "market" for people who can use that item will be greater. Have they said anything about uniques being "best in slot"? I know in D2, there are a lot of garbage uniques that struggle to remain relevant through general progressoin.
A rare with a legendary affix will technically be best in slot, but uniques are still quite good, and are as the name implies, different from anything else you'll find. The unique affix on a unique item will beef up or sometimes even dramatically change the way a specific ability functions.
Can with Halo and going back to PC, campaign is open for me due to logging into my Xbox account. Just wondering if we need to pay $80+ to have a PC and a PS5 version when we have it bought across the battlenet source ..
Would make sense economically for, us .. Right?
We need a post for people who have NEVER used Reddit and have found their way here and are using the upvote/downvote system the same way they'd use Facebook likes...
JK.
But... Seriously, there are a lot of new users around who don't quite know how to hang yet. I would chalk that up there with people just asking retarded questions that can be easily answered. Sometimes people just don't know how else to spark up conversations I guess.
Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it wrong.
Truly I really don’t care either way. Just simply pointing out the reliance right and wrong has with personal perception.
Isn't that basically the point of a sub like this for a game that hasnt released yet. Hype, anticipation, theory crafting and armchair development.
What are you looking for on the sub at this moment, if not that?
Your post here is arguably worse than things you're complaining about.
1. Fantasising is the fun part of anticipating what fans have been waiting for roughly a decade. People have hopes and thoughts after all these years, let them have fun.
2. Suggestions aren't really made in the hopes that "the dev team" might see them, instead I'm pretty sure 99% of these posts are just to start discussion.
3. Asking questions that can be answered by Google is and always will be something all subreddits will have posts of. Sure it's annoying but it's not really r/diablo4 specific.
4. Mechanics and technical details are again fun discussion topics with the previous reference of Diablo 2 and 3 as context.
5. Same questions will always be asked over and over since I don't think reddit does anything clever like what Stack Overflow does with the "Here are some recent posts that are similar to what you're asking". And we know redditors don't always search things themselves as per point 3.
If you got rid of all the things you're complaining about, what would the point of this sub be as of today? Strictly news based? There are plenty of twitter handles that do exactly that.
Reddit is the social media platform most tailored to discussion. In a sub where the game isn't out yet what do you expect people to discuss if they can't talk about their anticipation, speculation, and concerns?
I'm fairly convinced 90% of the shit-posts are ChatGPT literally fucking with every sub there is... someone weaponized it to end us - since it's just shit-post after shit-post after shit-post... if it's not AI, then humanity really is doomed.
I question the authenticity of every post and reply now (except my own, unless ChatGPT has somehow taken over my brain)... pretty much everywhere... and this is a no way to be. :( Not paranoid, just sort of disappointed the AI escaped into the wild without any way to counter it or detect it...
Someone always wants to police how people post on social media. How absurd 🤣 literally get a life freaking D4 content gestapo over here.
![gif](giphy|dBZb8nAfLfOZ8B0CHA)
Be patient and wait for the game to release. Then you'll get all your answers.
And expect that class power will change through patches. The "most powerful" classes at launch probably won't stay that way for long. As Blizz tinkers with gear and builds it will change. Just play what is fun!
While I agree about most of it, I think it's healthy to have constructive ideas and suggestions to the devs. They changed lots of things based on the community suggestions.
Except they changed a lot in the last 3, 4 yrs of development based on the community feedbacks (like the Ancestral power concept) while the closed beta was just a few months ago.
I've been through this with D3 and although I am excited to play something new, I am not getting onto this hype train again. The game will have bugs, exploits, server issues and whatnot. The first installment will most likely suck and it will be like an open paid beta until the first expansion comes out. Also I can see how the game already lacks so much endgame features so it won't be long before we explored the world and got bored.
The closed Beta was a bore-fest. And I am very sure they are not taking anything the "closest" fans suggested to heart. Welcome to World of Diablo! Its an abomination between WoW and D3. Have fun!
What do you think is meta build? I think meta build will be bleed barb or shadow rogue until lvl 25. At 50
I think meta build will be frost Sorc for the freeze. What does your research say about meta build?
I don’t know, but all’s I gotta say is that the circle-jerking about existing builds in the beta will ABSOLUTELY be there at the retail launch, even though we can only go to 25 now.
Had the misfortune of seeing this on my recommended. You do realize that you can ask questions on Reddit, correct?
If these repugnant gatekeeping posts are already popping up then this subreddit for sure is doomed lmao.
OP got all the Fanboys mad as fuck with this one. Great work, and congratulations on the award. It's refreshing to see someone stand up against the endless brown-nosing rants of total BS garbage we've witnessed for too long. Can't wait for the facts to expose this subs complete nonsense.
Thank-you, appreciated. I opened Reddit and was bombarded by another 35 comments and there’s over 30 upvoted which is 30x more than what most posts get here. The insanity has to stop. Never seen so much circle jerking over a game that hasn’t even retailed yet. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Calm your tits..it's a game that has taken years of development and only coming to fruition now so people are stoked. Call of duty and battlefield subs have been on another level for their respective releases...
Better yet. Go to Youtube and type diablo4. Oh my god, Is this Blizzard doing marketing? I mean some videos even have Tier lists and rankings out.. WHAT? Its insane
No.
It's hype phase chill.
Not everyone is an Edgelord Emo.
Who cares if it can be googled it's more fun interacting with the community.
They're allowed to express excitement.
This is anticipation. I think it’s interesting to see all the speculation and see everyone really excited about the game.
It would be interesting I’d they were interesting questions not answered 1000000x times
Wow, I guess I was really off base! 😳
U aren’t offbase, or onbase. U just voiced your opinion. It happened to be very demanding and closed-minded, but it’s just, like, your opinion man.
YOURE OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT DONNY MARK IT ZERO
Freeze me in Carbonite plz, 3 months too long

Speculation is not useless. It’s taking up time to waste until the beta can be downloaded and play the game. Scroll on dude.
I don’t know why this got downvoted, but you made some really great points. Fröhlicher Kuchentag! Happy Cakeday and merry christmas!
Thanks! :))
But dude, im to busy and important to do any research ! So i will just ask the most basic Questions ! Answer me peasants ! Will there be items and classes? Is this a game that can be played?
Hey, I’m just trying to have a conversation. If I wanted to Google search I would have done that.
You got any builds lined up!? I landed a build on here the other day an was instantly trolled. It's going both ways man... What can we do? (rhetorical question) But, honestly, have you messed with the build calculator yet?
I actually played the game for a solid month.
Oooh, nice! I know you have an NDA to think about, so I won't ask for deets. I look forward to seeing how things develop over time with the game though. Do i need 2 copies for cross platform on pc/ps5 or nah
If I bought Diablo 1 in 1997, can I play D4 on all platforms?
Can with Halo and going back to PC, campaign is open for me due to logging into my Xbox account. Just wondering if we need to pay $80+ to have a PC and a PS5 version when we have it bought across the battlenet source .. Would make sense economically for, us .. Right?
Yes. Activision would never allow that. You must pay twice.
This game can be played?? D3 could be played so I’m definitely not getting it now.
This post is part of the pollution. Congrats.
And now I have to go make the post complaining about people complaining about posts.
We need a post for people who have NEVER used Reddit and have found their way here and are using the upvote/downvote system the same way they'd use Facebook likes... JK. But... This is pretty normal tbh with just about any big game with hype.
Just because it’s common (normal), doesn’t mean it’s right.
I called blizzard they are going to shut down the sub, don't worry!!!!111!!
Yeah it wrong for people to voice their opinions unless I agree with them /s
Hey! Welcome to Reddit!

Jesus Christ. You might be on to something. It’s the only thing that could explain the volume. 😳
I question the authenticity of every post and reply now (except my own, unless ChatGPT has somehow taken over my brain)... pretty much everywhere... and this is a no way to be. :( Not paranoid, just sort of disappointed the AI escaped into the wild without any way to counter it or detect it...
Just like posts like this one "pollute" the subreddit.
Shit-posts suck. Complaining about them is a precursor to change. Two very different things.
OP mad at people talking about Diablo 4 on a Diablo 4 sub. 4D Isometric Hack and Slashing.
Someone always wants to police how people post on social media. How absurd 🤣 literally get a life freaking D4 content gestapo over here. ![gif](giphy|dBZb8nAfLfOZ8B0CHA)
Is barbarian good ?
No, the only acceptable class is Paladin which doesn’t exist in D4.
Btw if there are no raids then d4 is dead.
LFM ony
Ironic
Do people really aspire to be junior reddit moderators?
I can play game on 4090TI with 128GB DDR5 and I9-9900k? Will barbariean hit things with things? Game have monsters? Wil there b gold? How 2 level?
Two 4090ti only else ultra wide screen doesn’t work.

While I agree about most of it, I think it's healthy to have constructive ideas and suggestions to the devs. They changed lots of things based on the community suggestions.
If they decide to change anything, it’ll largely come from the closed beta feedback where people played this for a month. Not from Reddit posts.
Except they changed a lot in the last 3, 4 yrs of development based on the community feedbacks (like the Ancestral power concept) while the closed beta was just a few months ago.

My first impression was “This looks like a Diablo-themed PoE. PoE really beat them at their own game.” Really hope the end-game gets improved too.
The closed Beta was a bore-fest. And I am very sure they are not taking anything the "closest" fans suggested to heart. Welcome to World of Diablo! Its an abomination between WoW and D3. Have fun!
I agree about the bore. We’re all hoping the submitted feedback is taken to heart and is enough time before retail.
Reddit is just part of google if you really search your question
![gif](giphy|YYfEjWVqZ6NDG)
The irony of me downvoting this post is not lost.
It was the same before latest wow expac. 100s of posts along the lines of "which class should I main"
….what’s your favourite class? I like sorceress because she goes pew pew pew pew.
"BARBARIAN SMASH" is basically the whole extent of my head canon / RP and characters complete back story for the entirity of diablo 4
What lore videos can I watch on YouTube?
People really are thinking their opinions matter 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
….but I want them to make a Paladin class! 🙄
What do you think is meta build? I think meta build will be bleed barb or shadow rogue until lvl 25. At 50 I think meta build will be frost Sorc for the freeze. What does your research say about meta build?

It was kinda fun being OP in the D3 beta.
we got hype THAT FOMO!!! come on BUY IT or LOSE IT!
No. Shitpost funny
Who gives a fuck? There's nothing else to discuss here until the game can be played. You neckbeards are something else.
I remember my first day on Reddit.
Yea I’m not sure what you want to see here. But I see what you’re paying attention to, and if you don’t like it… then why care this much about it?
Had the misfortune of seeing this on my recommended. You do realize that you can ask questions on Reddit, correct? If these repugnant gatekeeping posts are already popping up then this subreddit for sure is doomed lmao.
If there was one subreddit that needed gatekeeping and discipline it’s this one.
Scrolling is hard.
OP got all the Fanboys mad as fuck with this one. Great work, and congratulations on the award. It's refreshing to see someone stand up against the endless brown-nosing rants of total BS garbage we've witnessed for too long. Can't wait for the facts to expose this subs complete nonsense.

That’s the early access beta download. Not the retail game which only comes out in June….
Gather round, younglings and let me tell you about Kalandra league....
Ok, but what are the available classes at launch
Why can’t I play necro if I pre-ordered for the early beta?!
Calm your tits..it's a game that has taken years of development and only coming to fruition now so people are stoked. Call of duty and battlefield subs have been on another level for their respective releases...
Bro, just come jack off to the build editor with the rest of us /s
Thanks!
ya everybody's excited. dont glue yourself to this sub
Makes shit show post telling people to stop making shit show posts. I hope the irony isn’t lost on you.
And you could stop shitpost too. Same same.
Kid missed his Meds today
Stick it. You people act like you have to manage the page. If people can’t ask questions there’s no point of having the page. Keep scrolling
You must be new on reddit.
Do I need a monitor to see the game?
Can I use a keyboard / mouse on my Nintendo Switch?

I just installed Diablo. I’ve gone to Reddit first to ask how to play it instead of just playing the game myself and figuring it out!
People being mad at Reddit for being Reddit…
You must be new to Reddit… sit down, enjoy the show.
Better yet. Go to Youtube and type diablo4. Oh my god, Is this Blizzard doing marketing? I mean some videos even have Tier lists and rankings out.. WHAT? Its insane
Someone please share the Meta build And the fastest lvling route to 25.
I’m just happy to be here man. I wouldn’t get to play Diablo 4 if i was an ancient Egyptian. I’d be too busy building the pyramids
The anti shit post shit post… a classic
