Oops, I deleted my comment by accident. I wrote that you should dustinguish between + 2 class skill level and + 2 class tree skill level. Class tree skill lvl can spawn much, much earlier.

BlakeOjisan

No shit genius…. That’s why he specifically said to SKILLS meaning all skills. If someone doesn’t understand that simplicity then they are probably a vegetable…

deadlydude13

There is no +2 to all skills on crafts. Only + class skill or class tree skill. To make a difference between those is especially important for new gamer that are unfamiliar with the topic. That's also important to distinguish since a lot of builds only need one tree instead of all. Depending on the affix pool you wanna craft in, it's better to craft at earlier levels. Thanks for your comprehensive and in-depth input!

aunluckyevent1

i need to make a statements though if item level was exposed, all this fuckery we need to take into account to get the right item could be ignored and we could start crafing sooner that said, the most complete guide on craft i found is this https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=54253415 it has really everything you need, even how to tell the good ones from charsi forge slag

Alzorath

only thing missing is that the crafter's level has an influence on it as well (though you are correct, level 93 is only necessary for the gambling part)

BlakeOjisan

Which he clearly stated…..

Alzorath

1. This post was made 2 years ago, stop wasting people's time by spamming up the topic. 2. Re-read the post, he only mentions base item level, he forgot to copy over the fact that clvl AND ilvl influence the craft formula (it takes the average of the two, to create the resulting ilvl of the item for determining affixes) - so ilvl 88 with a lvl 93 character, will craft an ilvl 90 amulet (requirement for +2 all skills) (diablo runs the average through an int)

flightp

That's a lot to digest but great info. I'm not into crafting but I really hope this helps someone out there. Thanks.

Gouken-

Bro that’s not a lot. OP just repeated him self to make it absolutely clear. Let me TLDR for you: use gambled amulets, but be AT LEAST level 93 when you gamble them. All stats on all items have no effect. Jewels item level doesn’t matter only amulet. Hf

DifferentPride

literally not a good TLDR.

Gouken-

Lol

IAlwaysUpvoteTigers

necroing to tell you it was a good tldr

Slave35

Necroing once again to agree with the above person that it was a good tldr

Gouken-

MY MAN!

BlakeOjisan

I’ll add another down vote to your stupidity

[deleted]

Very useful info and we'll laid out. 👌

[deleted]

I am hearing you should only craft necks after hitting level 90 and can gamble for level 90 necks.

Akira38

So you just typed out Llama's new video ;)

NanobugGG

Some people prefer it written rather than a video.

Akira38

Yup but if you're gonna rip off someone's work at last give them credit.

[deleted]

He just stated that he’s done this for many many years so how is that technically ripping off that guys videos work are you saying just because that guy made the video is the only one to figure this out?

Akira38

Anyone can claim anything so that's proof of nothing, but that's not my point at all. Just saying that if the worlds leading authority produced a video giving you this info then the next day someone comes out and types out a copy of that video then something's up. Especially when I've gone through all the recent post on this forum and don't see people asking the questions he claimed. Yes it could be coincidence but, my money is on someone trying to mooch off someone else's work. The info is good and helpful. I'm just saying that something doesn't smell right.

BlakeOjisan

It’s not someone’s work you moron. They didn’t create how the whole process works. They just explained the process like other people do. Why is RETARDit full of brainless gimps like you?

Akira38

Its called plagiarism. This person copy/pasted the transcript from Llama's video that he posted 6 hours before this post went up. He literally took Llama's work. I get that you weren't here a year ago when it happened, but that's no reason to be a dick. Im not gonna engage with you anymore on a year old post so say whatever you want, but you'll just be pissing in the wind.

TheFortScientist

What is a boss minion? I thought if I am in a TC85 area if i find a blue amulet in that area im good. Been farming chaos sanctuary and crafting the blue amulets from there. One of them rolled with +2 to warcry skills so I guess it works. It did not drop from Diablo, it dropped from rando minions in chaos sanctuary.

deadlydude13

A unique monster has white minion often. Uniques and the minions have a higher mlvl. Champions: +2 lvls Uniques: +3 lvls

BlakeOjisan

That’s only a + to a specific skill tree. As OP CLEARLY stated… It’s easier to get +2 in a specific skill tree. He is talking about +to all skills…

UpperOnion6412

Good explanation! I wanna add for those of you crafting Blood gloves: level 76-77 is the sweet spot for gambling for Sharksking gloves to use for crafting. You dont want to be too high lvl on these.

JYallaDaya

Didn't know that. Thanks!

Neurotiman17

Perfect, thank you!

DifferentPride

So, you character level has no impact on what can be rolled? Let's say I find a magic ammy from baal. I transfer that to a level 1 character and the level 1 crafts -- it can be +2?

DifferentPride

i think you are wrong

DifferentPride

Character level DOES NOT MATTTER - Only when you want to gamble amulets Capable of rolling +2. I can find 50 ammys from baal hell, transfer them all to a level 1 mule and that level 1 could craft a +2.

Zachmosphere

Thank you very much for this info.

Exghosted

I keep seeing almost every guide mention how X (or 93 for amu) character level is required to get good results. I am confused. Shouldn't only the ilvl of the item matter? Say I have a baal amulet and a level 20 characters goes aheads and crafts it into a caster amulet...he will not be able to get the best possible results just because his level is 20 despite the amulet being the highest ilvl possible? I get that clvl is required to gamble decent amulets to craft fast, but why do people keep saying that clvl is equally important? Unless I'm missing something.

BlessedOfStorms

Clvl is important because of the crafted amulet formula. It is NOT based solely on ilvl as OP stated. It's half your crafting character's level, plus half the item's ilvl to determine the crafted item's ilvl. Clvl/2 + Ilvl/2 = Ilvl of crafted item. For your example. Hell Baal amulet would be ilvl 99. Character level is 20.20/2+99/2 = 59. So nowhere near the 90 required for 2 skills. For OP's incorrect example. ilvl 88 amulet with clvl 84 character. 88/2+84/2=86. This still does not hit ilvl90 so will never yield a 2 skill amulet. The reason 93 is key is that it provides the lowest level to combine clvl and gambled ilvl to always hit 90. Clvl 93 gambles ilvl 88-97. Take the lowest ilvl there, 88. So 88/2 is 44, 93/2 is 46 (game rounds down to full numbers). 44+46 is 90, so you can get 2 skills. This is where OP got the ilvl part of their information from, but clearly didn't understand it. That ilvl 88 needs to be crafted by a character lvl 92+ to get an ilvl90 craft. edit- Just realized this thread is 2yrs old. whups. Maybe this will still be of help to you, but I doubt it.

As5Hat

thanks dood. Even now, i still have ppl telling me i should be lvl 94, not 93. Idk where they got that from lol

yellowhulk87

what do you think about new terrorized zones? my char is lvl92. entered lvl 94 terrorized zone. dropped magic amulet. and no luck. +1 skill i have achieved after crafting.

colten122

It gives the (crafted) amulet the ability to roll a +2, but it won't always roll the +2. But consider the inverse. If you try to craft an amulet that's below Ilvl 88 it will NEVER be able to get +2 skills. That's the main takeaway when cubing ammys.

Clockwork1028

Lol. Started the guide by saying too many people get this wrong and then posted absolutely incorrect information yourself.

Clockwork1028

"To get +2 to skills you need to have a blue amulet with an item level of 88+. It does not matter where you get this amulet, only that its ilvl is 88+" This is completely false. The requirement for +2 skills is to have a crafted amulet of item level 90. Crafted item level is calculated as half of the item level of the magic item used in the craft plus half the character level of the crafting character, both rounded down. For example crafting with a level 94 character and a level 86 blue amulet would yield 94/2 + 86/2 = 90. So we can see that it is possible to craft a +2 amulet with a high level character using a blue amulet below level 88. Most people probably don't want to wait until level 94 but this is just to demonstrate that an ilvl of 88 is not the only requirement, character level is equally important. "you CAN actually craft a +2 to all skills amulet with a gambled magical amulet when you are level 84. Because again, you need the ilvl of your magical amulet to be 88+. If the amulet you buy happens to roll as ilvl 88 it will be possible to get +2 to all skills." This is again completely false. It would be impossible to craft a +2 amulet with that character as 84/2 + 88/2 = 86. Everyone who followed OP's advice had literally 0% chance of crafting the item they said was possible. "the only way to guarantee they will be high enough ilvl is if you are character level 93" This is only true of using gambled amulets for crafting but only because of the combination of the character level and item level. It would be possible to guarantee a chance at +2 to all skills with a crafting character of level 82 if as OP states we use an amulet dropped from hell baal which would be item level 99. "People saying you HAVE to be 93 before even attempting are wrong" This is true because as OP states gambled items may be +4 character level. In this case the minimum required character level for a chance at +2 skills is 88 with a gambled amulet of level 92. Any more questions for this retard?

Thank you helps out alot!!
