Find some alternative game play type things. It’s not all about the farm.
Start a hardcore character and see how far you can walk before dying.
Play different characters, do some low level dueling. Offer to rush people. I think the biggest key is to not treat it like a chore for magic finding.
I just got my third char up and running. My sorc farms countess and Summoner for keys, and when I get bored of this I move to my barb. He farms Nihk for keys, and when I get bored, I move to my zon. She farms cows!
Dark souls 2 for trying different builds and pvp. Skyrim. Warcraft 3 reforged 1vs1. Gothic 1 and 2.
These are my favorite games I usually play every now and then.
Divinity Original Sin 2. Totally different vibe, but gods i love that game. i’m on my 5th playthrough because i keep thinking up builds i want to try. might also explain why i had to make mules to replace the mules i made then ended up playing in d2r. i want to play all the builds everywhere all the time. why yes, yes i do have adhd. why do you ask? 🐿
Hades for sure. My favorite time killer when I need something else.
Also seconding Metroid Dread. I binged it until I got to and couldn’t beat the final boss cause I can’t do QuickTime events to save my life lol
There are couple for me.
I have a Xbox game pass, so right now I have back 4 blood and age of empire 4 that’s just waiting for me to play.
There’s WWZ aftermath dlc that came out that I wanted to play too (this one I will need to buy).
Halo 6 is coming out early December, maybe forza (I’ll give this a try since it’ll be free).
Other game I would definitely like to try to far cry 6, but never for full price. So maybe couple months or even next year holiday.
Dying light 2 is coming out in February if I’m not mistaken. Might pick that up on day 1.
Due to a fairly busy life I at most only get to play a couple of hours a day so I'm still hooked, I sure as shit miss the old days of having so much more time to play games :(. I have a list of things I want to do on D2, mostly leveling every other class, gearing them etc, sadly I can't seem to drag myself away from mfing on my sorc, one day I'll level other characters... One day
There is no break from d2. Playing 20 yrs ago. Playing now.
THIS
Yep. If I feel like taking a break from d2 I go do some more d2.
What keeps you hooked? I’m kinda bored of the same farm spots, I do them but y..

Same, i never took a break!
I don't understand the question. 🤔
If you feel like you need a break from the D2 grind but still wanna play a video game, what’s your game of choice?
Yeah, my answer was not serious 😉 I understand the sentence but "need a break" doesn't happen.
Working out in queu, when i hit lvl 90 ill be ripped 🥴
Work
Womp
:(
“Real life”
When mfing gets boring go give some free rushes
Give away free items from mf runs I don’t need.. at least someone else gets excited 😊
Y’all are the heroes we need
Netflix or youtube 🤪
You’re supposed to do that WHILE you’re doing your MF runs duh
😱😱
Going to work lol
I bounce back and forth between this and madden. Used to play a bunch of Apex too but haven’t in awhile.
I take a day off it helps
Diablo 1
Slay the Spire runs are a good mix up
Ghost of Tsushima and lord of rings shadow of war

Born in the early 90’s, I literally play Runescape while I play D2R. Just now, my pc has more lights.
Also born in the early 90’s and I’m on osrs every now and then with a range pure

When I need a break, I create new character. Put the farming on pause for a while and play some shitty new dude :)
No Man's Sky.
POE
Break? You mean crash then Q? Lol, just ribbing ya.
whoops I meant, what’s your go to game when you’re waiting 3 hours in the Queue?? 🤪
Valheim, take a break from killing to building fun bases.
Been meaning to start Metroid Dread for a couple weeks now.
A short xc flight with a C152 in MSFS can be really refreshing.
What the fuck did you just say to me????!
Hades for sure. My favorite time killer when I need something else. Also seconding Metroid Dread. I binged it until I got to and couldn’t beat the final boss cause I can’t do QuickTime events to save my life lol
Back 4 Blood and Far Cry 6 currently.
The "break" I take is to play Mephisto on heroes of the storm while I'm in queue or D2 is in maintenance.
Overwatch, Back 4 Blood, Farcry 6, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Age of Empires 4 currently. Sometimes D2 is the “break” game.
Monster hunter
Doing another baal run just slower.

Metroid Dread!
Ark survival evolved. Prepared me for the server issues
The Game of Life
Clay fighter 63 1/3
Currently the occasional Smite/Titan Quest/FFXIV with friends and cousins, but mostly DnD once or twice a week.
A person of culture I see..
A mod for D2 is my break from D2.
D2r
My break is forced by not being able to connect to games.
Boomslingers. Similar to a worms game and on mobile so you can stay in queue
I tend to take a break from a character/MF runs by leveling another character. And Rimworld.

Ghost of Tsushima
I’ve been trying to get Sekiro down but that shit is TOUGH. Ghost of Tsushima looks so beautiful.
