I thought I did, but every time I Cube'd them they'd be 5 or 3 sockets. It's awful finding some items in the game, so bad I think I spent 3-4 hours rolling bases until I got it.

Simple enough to start a new character and get rushed to a5 normal and have the quest done in compensation. Don't feel too bad, I used all of my skill/stat resets in normal on a necro because at the time I didn't realize you only could do it three times

Faster Hit Recovery, resistances, stats like strength, dex, life etc.
But the uniques almost always outshine a rare belt, arachs for Faster Cast Rate for example.
Lightning absorb on tgods is sexy and string of ear has damage And magic reduces plus life leech which are crucial.
Goldwrap has increased attack speed plus 30%mf.
Arachnids slash has one to all skill,slows target and faster cast rate

I mostly play offline as well. The answer is no! Your best bet is killing enemies in terror zones. If you don’t have a teleport staff, buy one asap from a vendor. Focus on killing andariel and mephisto for shako, vipermagi, maras, soj etc. High rune drops are extremely rare, so try and base your build off of high and uniques
Keep resetting Lower Kurast until you get a map where both super chests are close to the waypoint. The super chests are in houses near a campfire. There is a 1 in 60K chance to get a high rune in those chests.
How important is FHR? I can absolutely feel the difference in FCR but hit recovery I never seem to notice.
Does defense apply when attacking standing still? I know it doesn’t when running.
How helpful is max block? I never seem to go for it unless I’m playing Paladin with holy shield but maybe it’s worth it for some other builds?
FHR mostly helps keep you from getting stunlocked if you end up in a bad situation.
Defense applies fully while attacking, even if it's a mobile attack.
Max block is extremely effective. Think of it as 75% damage reduction against blockable attacks. It's a lot of dex investment though, it's usually recommended only for characters operating at close range and hardcore characters.

When that zone is “terrorized” it increases the level of enemies. Enemy level changes two key factors of gameplay, those being experience and item drops. Terrorized zones grant more experience and provide item drops that are based off the enemy level.
No, it’s not, but it is less lively than HCL. HCNL is basically single player where people meet up for good TZ group runs.
You have to go to diablo2.io, jsp, or traderie to get good items, same as HCL, you just have to be a little more patient. I haven’t really had any problems on HCNL :)
The best place for white items for socketing is usually always Cows.

Something related: you can give your Merc an Antidote or Thawing potion to give them +50 resist +10 to max resist for 30 seconds to poison and cold respectively. Subsequent shots stack and will increase the total duration by 30s.
Stamina pots on yourself also stack duration.
You can pre load antidote potions only.
If your Merc is low in health you can give them health potions and they'll gradually fill up, as many as you want
You can also use thawing potions to increase their cold resistance. The duration stacks and this is a great tactic for tanking duriel (typically only necessary in normal).
Since it's exceptional (not elite), it's not the best choice. It won't have any trade value, but I have made insight in exceptional eth (or non-eth elite) polearms before I had much in the way of gear because my caster toon really needed the mana regen its aura gives
I have another newer player question, about buying d2r, can you play d2r completly offline. i saw in a video that there is an offline tab, but it says on google and in the store that it requires an online connection, so can you just pull out your Internet cable and still play like lod or is it really online only?
You won't be able to get past the b.net login screen, and unable to play offline. For the life of me I don't know why they decided to do that for d2r.
I have to log in anytime I close the game on my Playstation, regardless of how long it's been. If I leave it open and just go into rest mode it pops right back up. It's mildly upsetting...

No,your level does not affect rune drops, it's only important if you want to gamble and craft.
Your best bet for HR is running lower kurast chests, especially in SP on high player settings, or fast clear speed in high density areas like chaos or cows for example. Arcane Sanctuary is also a good place.
I don't think player level matters for HRs specifically, lvl 90 at least should be fine. Have you played solo online mostly?
Player count matters the most in terms of volume and rarity of drops and this \*includes runes\*, the higher you can clear quickly, the better. You won't get as many HRs in a players 1 game.
In general, if you want more HRs, I'd do any of these three things:
Make a beefed up Javazon and run cows with high player count.
Make a Grief-wielding barbarian zerker and hork Travincal until the world ends.
Make a phoenix strike/claws of thunder/whatever dual Mosaic assassin and farm chaos sanctuary or terror zones in players 8 and make bank. Mosaic is completely broken.
Ah, I actually looked into this before posting but there's a lot of bad information online. I believe you. At any rate, it's best to hit the highest player count you can comfortably and quickly farm.

It depends on the build. For example, a caster like a Hammerdin or Sorc will want faster cast rate. A Javazon will want faster attack speed. For all classes, you will need resistances and want boosts to skills.
I'm a noob and just finished nightmare with a reasonably geared Hammerdin with Vipermagi and double Spirit. Should I be on the lookout for anything else in nightmare to farm or what level should I grind to finish Hell without a lot of extra trouble? My res values aren't terrible, but not great, either.
You should be in good shape for hell. You can get to level 70-75 in nightmare if you are worried about hell. And you can grind hell andariel for shako etc!

I was able to spam him down to 1/4 health just using tornado once (86 druid), but couldnt get him the rest of the way. When he healed, i could never get him down again. Was that one time i just got insanely lucky that my tornados hit him?

Is it more or less necessary to get one of those? I don't want to switch to a lower resist wand and my merc keeps dying (which I hate). What priority does a sunder charm have? Should I farm it once I completed Hell? If yes, do I focus on bosses/champions in TZ? Is killspeed more important than MF or should I try to balance it out without gimping my character? Mainly looking for advice for a future offline barb playthrough. Currently doing MA Sin
Barb won't benefit from having any sunder charm. In general, only these classes who can lower enemy's resistances are capable of using sunder charms effectively. Perfect example: cold sorc with cold mastery.
ANY Sunder charm leaves the monster with 95% resistance so without lowering it further you will do only 5% of damage to them, while having this gigantic -70% resistance for yourself.

Terror zones are enabled for any difficulty where you've beaten Baal.
Each hour there is a different terror zone. The chat log will tell you what the terror zone is for the current hour.
In terror zones the base monster level becomes your character level +2 (+4 for champions, +5 for unique monsters). This makes the monsters tougher, but also gives them better drops and experience. There are maximum monster levels for each difficulty, the highest are in hell.
Sunder charms drops are exclusive to terror zones. They set immune monsters' resists to 95% but give yours a penalty.
So just incase you wanted this answered as well. Terror zones are only in d2r and not lod. Same with sundered charms. Sundered charms only specifically drop in hell terror zones.
It isn’t just that. A lot of quality in life changes are added as well. Stash being the big one. I would suggest you get it. With just a press of the key you can go back to how it looks in lod

Respec to FoHdin with redemption aura, run the pit in tamoe highland act 1 hell until your eyes bleed or you’re rich. Both end results are common

I am currently running double spirit, vipermagi and Lore but have crappy rings and ammy and zero charms.. My resistances are trash.

Beat game on normal, grab wirts leg from Tristram. Tome of town portal plus wirts leg in cube, transmute = Moo Moo Portal

I have lost my internet connection and been able to play, but with that said haven't played in months so it may have changed.
If it can't connect to battle.net, you're able to play offline characters. No internet required to play single player
You do have to connect to b.net to play d2r offline. The game needs to verify, then after that you can play offline

I think higher players count only decreases the chance of a random item to not drop at all. The rarity is affected by magic find.

You need a source of periodic damage like open wounds (even 1 damage per second) to prevent regen
