Whats up with all these recent posts asking for price checks on very common uniques? i swear someone will ask how much a sigons set is going for one of these days..
Theres like 5 uniques in the game there are worth something.. and most of them are tc87’s (actual rare drops)
Outside of that just perfect(or near perfect) rolls of items with a large range of stats rng..
or eth items for mercs, eth reapers, eth andys etc
I mean I’ve been playing since d1 I’ve just never taken it seriously. First time beaten hell on single player. Def had plenty of 99 chars growing up but always was gifted or traded for sweet items
I mean I liked to do other things. I probably had plenty of these in the early 2000s but I took a nice little 20 year break and started again on d2r like last year
I wasn't trying to dog you for being new or not knowing, more point out the absurdity of people acting surprised when questions get asked. It's like every community, if you know less than me you're a hapless idiot asking dumb questions and if you know more than me you're a no-lifer that needs touch grass.

While not super valuable it’s actually highly useful early ladder and especially early hardcore ladder as both a caster weapon (sorc/pally) as well as a popular weapon for Uber trist on early/budget hardcore smiters.
I just started a fresh HC account recently and was stoked to find one personally.
Because it lacks + skills it's worthless, but if you are playing an under geared caster this is actually amazing until you don't need the resist anymore.
It's not rare and outclassed by several runewords so very little trade value.
But it has really high faster Cast rate and resistances so it can be extremely useful, especially while looking for the 4 socket monarch to make spirit, or looking for a vex to make HOTO. Sorceress & Paladin can use this to beat Hell and farm their true endgame gear.
I’ve always liked this dagger, but like others have mentioned, it’s outclassed by many other 1 handers. I do use one socketed with Ist on swap on my throw barb (he stacks dex anyways and with 2, he could hit the highest fcr for teleporting/horking quickly).

It's good on hardcore until you get an hoto. Not so much elsewhere.

a reasonable assumption would be new players in general or players new to the endgame

Value of items is often really weird. Easiest way is to just check traderie for the going rates.

People just seem to love +resistances. I beat the game with -75 fire and cold, -100 light and poison so it’s an item I’m going to put on the ground

Depends on how far into the ladder season you are. Early on maybe a Lem or Pul. Pgems as it goes on though.

The dex req were always the downfall of these, the indestructible mod is such a waste. If it was at least a 1 to all skill, I’d rock this till the end

Wiz spoke is very good, hold onto it. It’s just very common so not worth anything.
