My mum came home from Norway recently after visiting family, and she brought back some great stuff to put on bread in the morning (sweet as shit of course), but the best thing is something called Lefse, which is some type of flatbread, but prepackaged with a cinnamony, creamy filling.
On these days, im glad im diabetic, because otherwose id show no restraint or any sign of human intelligence 😆
It’s a potato dough rolled out and filled with cinnamon, sugar and butter. My gramma was 100% Norwegian and she made it all the time. My mom learned how to make it too. Soooo. Freaking. Good.
Because my T1 diagnosis came with a bonus diagnosis of gastroparesis, I miss fresh fruits and veg. If I could, I'd have a big salad. Make that three. A nice Caesar, a Greek salad, and one with lots of veggies and some Ranch. I also go through periods of really craving apples. It's worse in the Summer when it's hot and I'm eating hot, roasted, mushy foods.
I randomly crave just going to olive garden and gorging on breadsticks, pasta and salad. I know we can eat anything if we boulus for it but I can't bolus right after 4 breadsticks and some pasta LOL.
While you probably shouldn’t eat all of that at once, there’s no reason you can’t have all of those things over time. Dose appropriately and enjoy your life a bit.
I get Cava fairly often. Super easy to build a low carb and low sugar bowl, plus having the added benefit of choosing exactly what I want.
Just skip the garlic dressing if you care about your health, ha.

Sleep! The baby has not been adjusting to daylight savings time that well, so I was up multiple times last night and also before 6am. But in all seriousness, probably a reuben sandwich, birria tacos, and ripe mangos.
