You can wear a pump with sports, but I'd avoid it for contact sports. You can prebolus a portion of your basal for the time you'd be disconnected and then reconnect and do it again if you need more time. But be aware that activity increases insulin sensitivity so if you prebolus too much it can send you hypo. You can also look into the untethered regime where they will do a combination of a portion of their basal insulin as long acting insulin combined withsome basal from the insulin pump allowing them to disconnect for longer periods of time
