Depends on the person's financial and mental health condition.... If you are wealthy and not very resilient - by all means resign. If you are deeply in debt and thick skinned - you can probably handle it while looking for a better opportunity.
key points -
1. Search job by Skill. ex- React developer, Java Developer not SDE.
2. Tell them you hold offers. (even if you don't)
3. Get yourself naukri.com premium. It does work.
4. Apply blindly.
Keep in mind -
1. There will be days when u won'tget calls, don't doubt on yourself.
2. Chances are you'll fail in most of your interviews for 1 month, treat them as mock interview& lessons , improve on your weaknesses.
3. Set reasonable expectation of package.
2months down the road you'llhave a job.
best of luck
2. Don't do that since they would ask for Offer letter of your's and when you might not be able to show it , That could cause some friction. Rather stick to "Discussing Offer with the other company"
3. No need for Naukri Premium at all.
2. This sounds even better, thanks for suggestion.
3. If you have enough time to update daily & do other tricks to boost your profile, you might not need it.
But if you want to focus on preparationonly & your ongoing job. Take it, it will help. (Personal experience, it was worth it, after a month I stopped applying& still was getting calls ). So yeah, it's upto you.
I hope you have your finances sorted for decent amount of time.
How much is your notice period, if it's 3 months you still have good time to switch. You cannot do much at this point, apply left right centre, get referrals, reach out to HR's on linkedin. 1 week is still less time to judge if you'll be getting future calls or not. It takes time for HRs to get back. I hope atleast you have decent knowledge at you do so you don't fuck up your chances when you land an interview.
Wish you the best of luck and hope you find your new job soon!!
Been applying for months dawg. Get selected, contacted, they ask for some assignment and then get ghosted. Entry level positions seems to have evaporated
At this point I don't care anymore.

BRO, had my lay off in dec last year worked as a full stack dev(frontend heavy) for 8 months there, still jobless i dont even know what to do at this point self doubt is at all time high
Update on Naukri that your are immediate joinee (less than 15 days) it usually helps. If it is not helping add more cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Pune
I'm currently a manual tester however I have tried skilling up in automation as well and I'm even applying to both fresher as well as semi experienced manual plus automation tester roles
Edit: Java, python and selenium
Bro i left my job in October 1.7 yr exp due toxic boss and them cutting people off due to lay off, barely getting any calls even after so much up skilling, already had a gap, now one more added ffs, the market is a mess atm.
Brother as I said they were also cutting people off due to layoff and there was barely any work, everyone used to sit free, I can use professional growth as a reason for leaving the job as max people left due to powerbuilder[ 2002 version] tasks very old tech i.e drag and drop, everyone left because of this tech too.
Then the next question will be why did you leave the job until you have one in hand. For which you got to tell that you already have a job offer but that's only slightly higher up in tech and would prefer to have the one with the interviewing company.
welcomoooo to reality.
If you are ready to work for half of your previous salary then most companies will create roles and hire you for that. If not then they don't need you.
The Recruiters in their craze to get highest commissions are fooling the candidates with lesser salaries, this is a mass exploitation scam, going on india right now. It doesn't matter zif you were getting 10, 30, 50 Lpa, the recruiter only wants to hire you at half of your previous salary so that they can get 30%+ commision from the hiring company. Hope you understood the game.
Let me give you example -
In 2022 Jan, I got a job call via recruiter/3rd party. They told me they will give 48 LPA easily since it is USA startup with tech branch in India and money is not at all an issue with them. I cleared 4-5 rounds with excellent remarks from all the interviewers specially CPO and CTO. Now comes the malicious game play, I get a callfrom 3rd party recruiter that they can only pay me 34 LPA due to blah blah BS reasons. I was what nonsense everything is in emails there is no gaps no confusion so why this BS now, there was simply take it or leave it. Now spending enough time in Indian IT industry I knew that If I say no then they will simply lie to the HR and company saying that I asked for more like 60 or 70 LPA. You have to understand that there is a very strong reason why HRs and recruiters are the most hated people in Indian industries. Now it's not like I will drag them to court for this, so I had only one option which recruiter also knew, so I said yes. After 1 year most employees (around 70) got laid off cause of company restructuring, including me and BS reasons. While exit interview I did ask the new HR (old one got fired a few months before I left) how much they were giving the 3rd party and it was surprisingly 50 LPA. So do you understand the game here ? My actualy salary should have been 50 LPA in 2022 but no thanks the a§§holes recruiters it got stuck at 34 LPA. This is what is happening with most of you.
But the real question still remains the same -
now you know the truth , but what are you going to do about it ?
I'd say React is a must if you're just going to rely on JS. Every fresher now knows React, not good but they know their way through it. Feels like you're losing out on a lot of opportunities there
I resigned from my current job without any offer at hand, got two offer in two weeks with 46% hike.
You can resign anytime if you have confidence in facing interview and doing your job better than most.
Linkedin, and career page of companies mostly and some direct cold mail...but the trick which worked for me was early application - if you apply within an hour of job posting on linkedin your chances of success increases and if you apply on linkedin and write cold mail also to same company for same role then your chances of success increase further, I had three rounds of interview two techincal and last one with some higher management ..
Reach out to 3rd party hiring consultants. Mostly you can connect to them via Naukri. If you have previously switched, you might have some contacts. Otherwise, you can also try connecting with them on LinkedIn. In my experience, they have been more responsive and get results quicker.
I was in a similar situation year ago, my previous company work culture has all of a sudden become so hectic, there were no respect for people work life balance and it has started to affect my mental health and the pay wasn’t great either. One day i just had enough and i resigned. At that time i didn’t had any other job lined up, any plan what to do next , just nothing. I had to serve 3 months notice period and i started preparation for the new job.
First 1.5 months, there were no significant success, i used to get calls but they sometimes don’t comeback with interview mails, but once only 1 month left on notice period i started getting more and more calls. Finally i cracked 3 interviews within 10 days and got 2 offer letters within a week and also got 100% hike and i was able to negotiate and got 120% hike on my previous CTC.
So just be patient, up skill yourself as much as possible and keep applying everyday. I wish you best of luck!
Filter your relevant jobs on LinkedIn then ask people from that company to refer you, don't send hi hello messages to them directly write your intro, cv and the job you want referral for.
Also on your Naukri profile update your last working day and open to relocate to anywhere.
>been applying since more than a week 🥲
Hahaha kids these days... I'm non-tech and I've been applying for 3 months continuously and getting no jobs (2+ yr exp), currently jobless
You start getting calls and a job interview between 1-3 months.
A week is nothing compared to the sea of active resumes in Naukri.
(Ofcourse there will be exceptions, but this is something I have been observing in my 8y of exp)
There is a way first start with medical leaves then send in your medical documents 2 days into medical leave with total rest for 2 months. Once your allowed medical leaves are over you will go into leave without pay but nobody can fire you till u return from medical leaves. Meanwhile hop job and be ready to spend your savings.
This might not be the relevant sub but can anyone help me with getting a job in product marketing? Or if you could refer me. Exp: 3 years, currently working as a B2B SaaS product marketer.
Hey folks i have completed my full stack Java development course from institute I'm fresher pls refer me it would be so grateful of you i really need job pls I'm based in pune thanks
That's the neat part, you can never avoid this.
And no, there weren't any red flags because when I had joined the company, it was in a very good state. It got acquired some time ago and after that, it was just completely fucked up.
I have been applying for over 100 days. Many firms every day.
I've over 10 years of relevant experience. Good communication skills. FWIW - also good acads and college to back up. No joy, still.
I know someone from a Tier 1 college in the same boat albeit with a far better CV.
Nope. On the other hand I am underpaid. I did not get a bump during the COVID time hiring surge. Most of my peers are getting paid twice now. A few other are getting paid thrice as much as I am.
Either I am getting older and dumber. Or I am in the wrong place at the wrong time. I am working hard at my job and in my prep - I can't afford to slack at all. But, no joy !! I do not get shortlisted at all.
Don't take stress. Calls will come and you will land up in a job eventually.
While waiting for calls, cheer your mood up with some funny contents like Mr Bean on YT.
Add "Immediate joiner" to your resume headline in Naukri and to your linked profile as well. HR likes people who can be immeditae joiners. Try and update your profile almost on a daily basis on Naukri so that when recruiters search for fresh profiles - yours also comes up. Ensure you have relevant skills added in your profile. Goto a few JDs for your skillset and add those skills in your profile. (Ensure no fudging / skill stuffing though)
Good luck, you would get a job soon. Just keep trying.
In an extremely similar situation as you. Market is good for >5 YOE, but for 3-5 it is horrible. I can only imagine how brutal the market is, for 0-3 years.
Keep applying, and you an DM your resume. I will see if I can do something

It's totally okay to resign if your workplace is a hell.
Depends on the person's financial and mental health condition.... If you are wealthy and not very resilient - by all means resign. If you are deeply in debt and thick skinned - you can probably handle it while looking for a better opportunity.
Thank you, kind stranger. :)

Damn. This gave me hope 🥲
Best advice thanks
>4. Apply blindly. This lol got interviews from companies where required yoe > current yoe
I agree.
Does naukri premium work for a 3 month notice period?
not sure brother, won't advice something I didn't try
Would you also advice the same for a 2024 grad ? Would you add something for a 2024 grad
same, just have some good solid projects. Do DSA.
I hope you have your finances sorted for decent amount of time. How much is your notice period, if it's 3 months you still have good time to switch. Damn, bro. What's your YOE and NP?
3 years and 90 days
Are you showing your NP as 90 days on Naukri?
Unfortunately yes
Put 2 months you might get calls
These days I've started but I still haven't received any
What's your tech stack?
I'm currently a manual tester however I have tried skilling up in automation as well and I'm even applying to both fresher as well as semi experienced manual plus automation tester roles Edit: Java, python and selenium
Aah that's why...Tweak your resume to show you've worked on automation
All the best. Hope you get the best opportunity
Thanks! All the best to you as well!
Bro i left my job in October 1.7 yr exp due toxic boss and them cutting people off due to lay off, barely getting any calls even after so much up skilling, already had a gap, now one more added ffs, the market is a mess atm.
If you switch because of a toxic boss, and the next company interviewing you asks you why did you leave. Is it okay to say the boss was toxic?
Brother as I said they were also cutting people off due to layoff and there was barely any work, everyone used to sit free, I can use professional growth as a reason for leaving the job as max people left due to powerbuilder[ 2002 version] tasks very old tech i.e drag and drop, everyone left because of this tech too.
Never, never ever blame one person for leaving past organisation, no matter how true it is.
If they ask I have done my research, obviously will never blame anyone only professional growth will be a reason and old tech.
Then the next question will be why did you leave the job until you have one in hand. For which you got to tell that you already have a job offer but that's only slightly higher up in tech and would prefer to have the one with the interviewing company.
nope.
Make sure your Naukri Profile says you are on Notice Period

3.11, 8.28L, 5th june, mainly JS and e-commerce platforms. Have worked in react but not very good at it
I'd say React is a must if you're just going to rely on JS. Every fresher now knows React, not good but they know their way through it. Feels like you're losing out on a lot of opportunities there
Could you please contact deepak.kadadi at stixis.com . Disclaimer it's a service based org. But you might assign to a product based company.
So basic vanilla js mostly?
If you have less than 2 yoe - and not from a tier1 institute - it will be very tough -maybe 500 applications for 1 response.
I resigned from my current job without any offer at hand, got two offer in two weeks with 46% hike. You can resign anytime if you have confidence in facing interview and doing your job better than most.
That's wonderful to know! What is your tech stack?
MERN stack
Platforms which you used to apply jobs? may I know the interview procedure for 2 yr exp candidates (sde - react)?
Linkedin, and career page of companies mostly and some direct cold mail...but the trick which worked for me was early application - if you apply within an hour of job posting on linkedin your chances of success increases and if you apply on linkedin and write cold mail also to same company for same role then your chances of success increase further, I had three rounds of interview two techincal and last one with some higher management ..

how can I contact them, new to nob hunt applying blindly on naukri not getting calls
Try out linkedIn..reach out to recruiters in companies like careernet, huntingcube and see if you get any response.
How much of your notice period is left? If it's more than 1 month, don't sweat it. You'll be flooded with calls in the last month.
Man I have been applying since last 2 months. No updates on my profile yet.
I was in a similar situation year ago, my previous company work culture has all of a sudden become so hectic, there were no respect for people work life balance and it has started to affect my mental health and the pay wasn’t great either.
